Thanks, Jeff Lynne started ELO 1970-1986 broke up. The fans voted on a pole for who would like as a headliner for the festival @ Hyde Park in UK 2014. Jeff went on the show he had said if he got 2000 votes he would consider it, got over 10,000. He headlined for the festival over 50,000 attendance. He was overwhelmed of the welcome he got. Promoters started offering tours. That’s why your seeing them live.🔥🔥
Jeff didn't start ELO all by himself. Roy Wood and Bev Bevan were co-founders. ELO has continued to exist in different forms, but always with Jeff Lynne.
I have listened to ELO for 50 years now. This song was on their Greatest Hits album, which - together with On the Third Day - were the first music I bought on cassette. This was one of the first songs to really hit me in the gut, and it still does, gives me chills and makes my eyes tear up. The sound here is bad as is to be expected, but having been at a concert myself in 2018, it doesn't matter much. Lovely reaction.
@@Terri6868 Oh wow didn't know that ! They would still be doing shows now I guess if possible! I've never seen them live unfortunately but love their music .Know all the words to most of their songs 😊😁
So if he produced songs for the Beatles, these songs were on Beatles albums, then what is your problem Dan? Kinda petty of you isn't it? Besides he did work on the white album, whether he got credit or not.
Dan, nobody likes a know it all. I see it really means a lot to you to be right. Guess Jeff and George didn't know what they were talking about in the interview I saw. Guess you wasn't around to set them straight.
Thanks, Teez -- Jeff Lynne has always been under-rated as a singer and composer - I think you would enjoy him as part of the "Traveling Wilburys" - the one group that I think deserves the title "Super-Group" - this was originally formed by George Harrison to support Roy Orbison in his later days... and also included Jeff, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty -- they had such a good time together, they went on create their name - "Wilburys" and to record two albums... sadly, we lost Roy, George and Tom -- and I don't think that Jeff & Bob have pursued anything between the two of them -- but, if you have time and inclination - ua-cam.com/video/1o4s1KVJaVA/v-deo.html

@@richteezer1 You are so right. I watched the show with Chris Evans. Jeff was truly surprised by the fans reaction.

React to LIVING THING and SHOWDOWN...GREAT SONGS
E.L.O. = MOZART
Original Eldorado was a better performance(1974).
Why do my ears hurt?
It’s probably because the live show, sometime the performances can have shaky audio, sorry if it’s a little off fam
