That's incredible man! This is what years and years of natty training can get you.
musclesuccess What an insightful comment.
You make it sound like you can't get that with steroids lol
Wanted to give you an update since I'll be releasing training footage soon. My objective is to do over 45lbs on the one arm weighted pullup, which would be world class. There are very few people on the planet who can do this, but I honestly think I can pull it off.
And just so 100% we're clear, my goal is not to be #1 on earth. I simply want to be among the best at this lift, like the top 1% if you will.
You're already well above top 1%. How many people in a group of 1000 can even do a 1 armed pull up without weight? Youre shooting for like too 0.0001% here by my guesses.
Nathan Reed how many out of the thousand train one arm pull ups
Would you do it if you already had the world record? Is it worth to starve yourself to say that you are top 1%? Is this your alpha destiny?
The pull up is probably one of the single most trained exercises next to push ups and sit ups. It doesn't matter if it's one armed or not, it's practically the same mechanics either way. I'm not a huge fan of Beta Destiny but his one armed pull up stuff is incredibly impressive even though hes only 5'3.
JSn00py how is one arm chin up goofy? Especially weighted.
I need one arm pull up video guide!! We need one arm pull up video guide!!!
Contact the Guineas Book Of World Records and try to get in that
I'm sure the Guineas have more important matters to attend to as a country😂
Bro you never noticed but you ARE world class right now.
I appreciate that Ismail!
AlphaDestiny Yeah man honestly, "Normal people" couldnt even fathom the lifts you put out.
Dude this is so sick. I have mad respect for you. Go for it. I’m testing my weighted chin up in my next video.
GoldenEagleAesthetix lol you’ll find out soon bro. Gonna post a video on the BTS
Congrats, Alex! You inspire me to keep going, buddy. Thanks!👍👍
*I think you can hit a world record. You do not have the best genetics. You do not have the best background. But what you do have, is work ethic and a desire to use your god given talents to unlock your true potential. You can do it, Alex.*
if you're going to cut to like 140-150 lbs then you might as well demonstrate some crazy relative strength as well as your 1 arm pull up goals
Bro your young calisthenics are paying off! Honestly you should chase a record.
Good luck bro truly impressive work!! I’m training hard to be able to get 1 one arm chin up just because my friends will be blown away if I do. I thought it would be easy because my weighted chin-up is VERY good (180lb with 100lb between feet for 3) but GOD DAMN when I use one arm I can’t even pull my self up half way up with no weight at all.
A weighted one arm pull up is beyond fucking impressive. Much much much respect
the world record in wieghted pull up is 230.49 , if you can break it, you will write your name in the guinness world records.
Alex you really look like a badass with the hat and the beard.
GymnastDestiny
Benjamin Breeg u mean gymnastiny xd
This is not gymnastixs this is chalisthenics
1 arm pull up with half your bodyweight and you’ll be a god
Sounds like an incredible goal bro
yet to be accomplished nobody has done half his bw
He can do it if he truly wants it.
I'm sure he will, maybe in two+ years perfect form
@@Balecatena6403 more like 10
Do it!!! It would be amazing, you’re a great example of embracing change if an opportunity presents itself to do something amazing 💯
You've got this. Your progression is impressive
I can feel the energy the good vibes and the inspiration. Its like you will jump out the video pick my sorry lazy ass up and lift me up to new heights Keep it up, man. don't fucking stop. I love you
“Grippin and rippin” could be such a badass catchphrase. You’re fucking incredible bro!
You can PULL this off!
Alex... you are a Savage!! God Bless you!!
Ever since I saw you doing those one arm pull-ups, I was like Daaaamn!! 😳 I gotta start training for a one arm pull-up myself, because that looks Savage AF!! Ur by far the best natty motivation on UA-cam!! Thanks Brother!
You’ve changed my life for the better Alex. Thank you for helping me to realize I don’t ever have to set limits on my capabilities I really can’t express this enough
Your one finger pull up was fuckin eye popping bro. Your a monster keep it up.
Come on guys, he's obviously using moon shoes!
Shhhhhhhhh
Let's go Alex you got this man go Super saiyan on the records man ☝👍
You’ve got that Hanma back during those pull-ups
just to let you know that you got my support, i am pretty sure you´re gonna get it...
This dude is a fucking beast, so inspirational
Numbers to shoot for: 10 one arm pull ups in a row (you're halfway there) and 1 rep with 25kg (55 pounds) which is the biggest plate (the red ones) used in most weightlifting and powerlifting federations.
Also, could you do a full video on how to achieve one arm pull ups? For example how do you go from weighted pull ups to one arm pull ups? And maybe a tutorial on the front lever? I know, I'm asking a lot 😅
Btw congrats, you really improved a lot in 2018.
That sounds like the perfect goal bro!
And yes there is a tutorial incoming :)
AlphaDestiny my theory is that it's thanks to Alex's nuclei overload or however it's spelled. All the pulls, weighted chinups, weighted pullups, heavy ass lifts, etc. It contributed to the strength for one arm pullup, but he had to lose bodyfat for it (strength for OAP was there for a while though) proabably since 2k17.
Yes More training vids!
Alex, fucking go for it bro
Official record for pull up on guinnes is 90 kg , in videos a man hit 110kg
Mathew zlat did 71.6 pounds
Inspirational affff bro! Guaranteed you will be world class in one arm pull ups
That would be insane! I would love to see you break some records bro!
You’ve inspired me to buy a black Henley with cap to match. It’s a good look for you and I’m hoping it’ll be good for me too.
snapbackdestiny
drey its a fitted hat
I think people outside of America think every hat with a brim is a snapback
Luraj7 ye lol my bad
Whitmore, Hunter A. I am "outside of america"
Luraj7 cool
Weighted calisthenics are the real deal. I started doing them last year and they give you insane strength gains.
Just doing the planche progression is making my delts explode
Inspiring Alex and informative as usual, also I can see how much hard work you are putting there.
I just have a note on this part "I suck at skills" .. you do, you really do, because first you didn't train enough for it, second you don't know how it work, cause you didn't spend enough time exploring and trying, third because you comparing it to another gift that you are sharpening from how many years? .. you fooled yourself into believing that you suck at skills, but in my humble opinion, you just didn't give it enough time and effort, if you did you will get there, I believe so.
Thank you bro
appreciate the open mind, thank you actually A LOT.
ALPHASQUAAAAAD 🔥
That's already an insaaane performance Alex, I would also like to thank you for the inspiration and help you gave me in my training!
Matvey Zlatoverkhovnikov did a 32.5 kg OAP.
That's it you've motivated me, I'll chase the 1 arm pull up, you chase the record. I'll keep cutting, 55 lbs and going
Wait, you are from montreal and I didn't know this whole time I've been following you, I kinda feel stupid tbh lol keep on going man you're awesome and inspiring for many natural lifters including myself . Much love bro!!
Please show us more footage of your training, awesome btw
I'll be filming the workouts, intensity + volume days
Alex making all kindz of world class gains... All kindzzz.
Damn man, I've done pull ups with 100 lbs added for a few difficult reps and muscle ups (6-8), but that one arm pull up weighted is impressive af. Nice work man.
My man, he is being fortunated by fame, thank god he is blessing a Good Soul, Peace Man. Goo luck
If I’m so strong I pull the earth down when I do pull-ups is that a world record?
Sorry bro, you need to pull the sun or it doesn't count
When I do handstand pushups I lift the whole earth, one time I almost pushed the earth of the atmosphere.
Whoa im from mtl too i didnt know you were from here ive been watching you for a year
Awesome bro! I'm from the east end
AlphaDestiny Thats sick i live in Anjou
Ayeeeee that's a 10 minute walk from my place. Nice bro
Wish you all the best brother! All my support always on your side
you are elite . you can do it
One armed pull-ups below the knee
The result of honest, hardcore natty consistent training... props Alex you got this 👊
Alex, I don't know any comps you can go for but I just have to tell you you are an absolute inspiration. Keep up the good work sir #tipshat
Alex, you should check out dima malakhov. He did 3 one arm pull ups with 24 kg
Thank you alpha because of you and other you tubers I was able to go from 195lb to 159.7 in 3 month and my bench press is now 77.5kg one max rep thank you
Are you talking about Powerexplosive and his pullup? Go for it mate!
Go for it dude !! Sick
Fuck yeah. I was surprised I could still do a one-arm pull-up at 195 so shit I’m about to try and go weighted also.
Bro that's awesome! Let's get these gains
Best ive seen is 1 finger OAC @100kg bodyweight. Also 11kg additional OAC @92kg bodyweight.
I still don’t know how to get a one arm pull-up down. Maybe I need to lose all this winter bulk fat.
There's that Tazio Il Biondo dude who did 70 OAPs in one set (took him 42 minutes, but he was hanging on the bar the whole time), knowing that your grip strength is probably very good you should do something similar :D
MixelSky Videos i dont know about that man, that tazio guy is unreal, his grip strength is unreal like literally 70 one arm pull ups 35 in each hand and hanging the whole time for over 40 minutes? This is insanity...
MixelSky Videos alex has solid grip, but tazio is a world class rock climber, they are worlds apart.alex could never achieve the grip of somebody of tazios level.
Well I dont expect Alex to do exactly this, but I think he definitely can try doing like 10-15 on each hand while hanging. Tazio (and probably other op human beings I am not aware of) are insane asf
Tazio can also deadhang for over an hour (20 minutes without hanging rest), so that's a big factor.
alex maybe has good grip strength but zero endurance
I'll contact The Guinness World Records for you buddy .
Pls make one arm pullup tutorial
Incoming!
my boy Alex putting himself in the record books
Alex, I just wanna say... I love you.
This pushed me to go for a 5-10kg OAP tomorrow...
Hell yeah alex!! Go get that shit man
try one arm pullups on a ring! love the twisting movement pattern. (strap needs to be long enough so the rings can freely twist though to optimize this aspect).
Does it feel easier or harder based off your experience? I never tried it
for me its easier (as are weighted two arm ring pullups). idk if it would be easier or harder for you, but it would certainly be a good way to add variety!
would be awesome to see you do some other high level calisthenic stuff like front lever rows, full front lever to back lever circles instagram.com/p/BDlcyHilJb4/?taken-by=portal.ido etc too. pretty sure you could do it with just a small amount of practice
Bruh you’re lookin good 💪🏼 keep up the good work
am out here struggling to do 10 normal pullups and ur doing them weighted on 1 arm wd bro keep up the awesome work!
I once broke a guinness world record in mario kart.
I think there are street lifting competitions where they do weighted pull ups, dips and squats
Bro, you are awesome like all the time, keep it up. Can you make new videos about conditioning and work capacity. Because I realize that that’s the weakest link in the chain...
Excited for you man!
Alex the first video ive watched from ievgen shcherbyna he did one arm pull ups with 24 kg which is 53 pounds he also did 60+ one arm pull ups you should look him up
Huge fan, keep it up
World record let's go!!
Alex puccio is a female climber with a bodyweight of maybe 120lb. A year back she did a one arm chin up with 20lb. You should explore pro male boulderers to see what they can do.
I don't know if there would be one in your country but Denis minin usually holds a tournament of street workout in Ukraine with the best in Europe or maybe an Adam raw competition.
i need to start doing pullups again
Mad goals love your work. You got it
Your progress in one arm pull up just shocked me. I know that a lot of calisthenics guys don't even work their legs. Considering the size of your leg, it's something you know. If you wouldn't have those bulky, muscular legs maybe you would break the record
Good stuff! You suppose to have great leverages for this. Not sure about form but eastern european calisthenics elite plays around +25kg that's 55lbs additional.
Thanks brother! Yes I think the best I've seen is 25kg for 3 repetitions at a bodyweight of around 65-70kg. I've seen a lot of unknown russians in particular hitting these incredible numbers.
Go for the best!
Yo Alex i'm going to the toronto pro show, hope to see you there
if i remember correctly that max weight done is 32 kg and for more than one rep i saw it in on DSworkouts instagram or youtube video not sure by some russian or Ukrainian guy , but goodluck i think u can reach ur goal u are improving in one arm pulls
You mean Mathew Zlat i can hear from the description
In my opinion, for you to go below 160 would be a disaster. There might be a small difference between 180s and 160s in terms of absolute strenght, because most of the weight you lose is from fat, but now you're lean. 8-12% bodyfat imo. Even if you went into a caloric deficit your body would try to clinge onto that tiny bit of fat you have left, and the ratio of muscle loss (and thus strenght loss) vs fat loss would be much greater than during your cut from 15-20% to where you're at now. If you're gonna go for that one arm pull up world record, then you should probably not get below 160lb because you risk not being able to lift your end goal weight on yourself (cause remember: weighted callisthenics are a feat of absolute as much as they are of relative strenght). On that note, I have to say that what you're doing is amazing and you have my full admiration, I just wanted to give you an outsider opinion to consider. Just keep being alpha!
You just ditched the bear mode physique. TRAITOR XD
Alex really likes this cap
It's actually another cap ;)
I have two that are very similar, both of which are excellent
Bro I respect you even more for pushing the calisthenics movement. To me, calisthenics is the elite method of training. Every body who lifts mocks it, yet they can even do 10% of what's possible lol
how about a one arm front lever with 2 kg ankle weights on each foot?
Adam Raw does competitions.
Looking forward to that training footy brah, you're an absolute beast !
Hey Alex! Super excited you’re pursuing this. I was obsessed with weighted pulls and got to 90lbs for 5 and after doing hours and hours of research on it I realized this movement is SUUUUPER old. I highly recommend you look up jasper benincasa to learn more on it. As far as I’ve seen 45-50 lbs is the most guys get to and 5-10 reps / arm is super elite! Mathew Soffner did 10/arm and reps with 45lbs (on youtube). There’s tons of guys to look up man. Can’t wait to see your progress!
Yeah bro Matthew is insanely strong, I was very inspired by his feats of strength. I saw him do over 200 on the two arm version, and one rep with 45lbs one arm. I think he's one of the strongest people on the planet for these lifts
And he only weighs like 145lbs I believe
To optimize this lift you'd have to lay off the Rack Pulls and stuff to let your lower body muscles atrophy on purpose.
Do it dude losing muscle mass is a small sacrifice for having a world record. I also have a goal of hitting 135 lbs in weighted chinups at or under 200 lbs
