- At Home Dumbbell Shoulder Workout
Hello everyone!
If you are wanting to target your arms, then shoulders is a must as they really provide shape and fullness. Training shoulders is so important to aid other training such as chest press, press ups, rows... the list goes on!
Today’s workout is one you can easily do at home with a pair of dumbbells.
The 8 exercises are all for 30 seconds each with 15 seconds rest in between. Once yo complete a full round you then have 1 minute rest before starting the second and last round.
The exercises are as follows:
Arnold press
Shoulder press
Lateral raise
Lateral raise
Frontal raise
Frontal raise
Alternating Upright row
Steering wheel
Standing chest tricep extension
Partial lateral raises
As with any overhead movement or raises always keep knees soft and core tight. Just take your time, relax and focus on each movement individually. Pause when you need to as the timer is only a guide.
This is a quick and effective workout for you to try with the dumbbells you have at home!

Am I the only person who noticed the missing Alternating Upright Row in the second round? Regardless, I just stopped, did another 30 seconds, then finished. Loved this. Perfect combos. You, Caroline, are a star.

The most efficient shoulder workout i've seen, works exactly the right areas without injury! The short breaks also mean I'm working my shoulders until failure which is the best way to build muscle and tone those shoulders. So much better than the more popular workouts and Caroline's lighthearted energy and smile keep me positive :)

Wow, I really felt this one! I recently subscribed & sought out this video for my shoulder day workout. It was killer...especially on the second round, but it burned so good!

This is my little go to set when I just need a little shoulder hit. Use 10kg and I really feel the burn at the end. Partials and Driving the car are tough especially on the last set . Nice pump when you finish. Lets hope tonights workout isn't to taxing on the shoulders, and if so then its double shoulder day 💪💪💪

I used soda cans as weights and I didn't even last halfway through round 1 as arms just gave up 😟 My MIL did the full lesson of 2 rounds with 8 kg dumbbells! Her biceps bulge and are rock hard! I feel really low and defeated.

vicky mitchell, just finished, I have not been doing weights for an awful long time and I thought I would need a 5 pound to do it. I did the 8 pounds and then some of the exercises I did the 10 pounds. I am looking for heavier weights because on some of these exercises I need a challenge. Thank you for your videos, I love them.

Do you think someone who doesn't lift heavy will be ever able to get as toned and defined muscles as yours????
I'm talking about myself...
I follow your workouts holding 3 kg dumbbells, doing 15-20 reps depending on the excersise.
I also do 3times/ week hiit or tabata and my nutrition is spot on.

In response to your question, it absolutely possible to become stronger! Studies have been conflicted over the muscle gains with light weight & more reps comparing to heavy weight/less reps. Of course lifting heavy will help prevent plateaus you may reach with lighter weight.
You can make lighter weights work the muscles more by slowing the movements, holding positions etc.
I prefer to lift heavy and super light/no weight for lots of reps so I combine for both strength and endurance. There are many bodyweight exercises that you can incorporate to build muscle also. I hope this helps! Cx

This was excellent I did it along with you today after I did chest press (I've got a home garage gym with literally everything a gym would have). In the future I'd prefer 4 sets, so I'll do it twice, but excellent..excellent. please make more workouts that target specific body parts... heavy weight lifting...I use them daily...thank you thank you!!

These are my daily workouts and I always do HIIT Sunday morning!! And a 1 hour full body every Friday! I change it up during the week so could be core or triceps etc! I hope you find lots of fun, challenge yourself and grow stronger!

That was awesome workout for the shoulders . Noticed you favor that Left side a little your hips compensate when you do your left side. Not judging just noticed sorry I notice the things people don't see. Great workout I was sweating still working on the planks I did 62 sit-ups instead. Not bad for old lady I used to be a fit as fiddle in my prime at 30 I was trying out for semi-pro b-ball league (160 lbs. 6-2 20% body fat). I lost about 10 pounds from the training I love it don't regret a minute of it. LOVE your workouts. Thanks keep em coming!!

I want wider and defined shoulders but not so much of the muscle that goes up to the neck, that makes everything look rounder. Are there exercises to be careful with if you don't want to archive this look?
