I think there's just something so impressive and respectable about a man who has sacrificed so much for an ideal he did not come up with, something he merely adopted and accepted to be the right thing to do, and being ready to even go against his own desires and feelings for it, to the death and even beyond.
This man did what many won’t have the stomach to. He was the ultimate soldier. He pushed the limit and intentionally suffered the consequences. For the sake of the many, a small but significant handful had to die to prevent all out war for time was limited and the spy could have been anyone. This man, truly makes one question what true morale is. Itachi is the most tragic and best character hands down.
So far all the anime I have seen, Naruto had by far the best theme musics for characters. The theme justified the persona of those characters. You can feel who they were and what they did just by listening to the tone.
Even if I don't think it has the most beautiful soundtrack in Anime you are right. Perfect themes for the characters, especially this one or the Obito ones...
