Oh my word that’s some pretty peaches. Peaches are my favorite fruit. Danny and Wanda thank y’all for sharing this. I’m praying that the storms miss us all. God bless y’all.
Snacks for the hurricane party!! Those peaches are so pretty!! Stay safe. Bet they smell so good, too. Can't find anything like that in the grocery store, that's for sure!!
I love the idea of having dwarf trees. That is something I'm going to look into because I have a very small space to work with. You all are awesome. Enjoy your peaches. 🌻🌴😀👍🤗💯💯💯
I have been canning Fredericksburg, TX, peaches, a very popular Texas Hill Country spot for local peaches. DELICIOUS! I assume Cristobal has not affected you. Praise God!
Ham Orchards is a peach orchard just outside Dallas, Texas. They have a BBQ pavilion by Eddie Dean. One of the things they sell is a peach pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork has a peach BBQ sauce on it. It is out of this world! You might try making some. You won’t be disappointed. Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m in Tennessee, and I’m trying to figure out what is best for me and my family. I love your channel and I pray that you all survive the storm that’s coming
Here's a sad story. Had 2 trees loaded with peaches and almost ripe. 2 days later not a peach on the tree. We're so disappointed . We think the squirrels got them .Enjoy yours they look great
Either that or you had some peach tree poachers ?? Seems odd to me that two trees could be loaded and two days late no peaches at all? That would be awful lot of squirrels wouldn’t it? I’d be setting up a video camera and doing some surveillance for next year!!
These peaches look perfect glad you got peaches early to enjoy.Looking into buying a drawf Empress peach tree from this Company. Thanks Wanda&Danny.I hope the corn will be o.k.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡......
One each to try, that was perfect. Peach is my favourite fruit by a mile and until this year I had given up on growing them here in the UK. Our biggest problem is 'Peach Leaf Curl', which carried on the rain, makes it near impossible to grow peaches successfully outdoors. I bought three trees which I have in the greenhouse. I have successfully grown peaches for the first time, but my peach despite looking ready, is a bit hard yet. When peaches are ripe. I usually slide a desert knife under the skin to remove it, it then peels away in a large piece. I can't wait for mine, great to see you both enjoy yours!
Absolutely beautiful! I love your greenhouse. Definitely one of my goals! I hope Cristabol is kind to you all and just brings much needed rain to everyone 🙏
WOW , LOVE THE FRUIT IT IS PRODUCING. I WOULD LOVE TO GROW ONE IN A BUCKETSINCE I RENT BUT HAVEN'T FOUNF ONE FOR FLORIDA YET. ENJOY YOUR PEACHES AND GOD BLESS.
Congratulations on the beautiful peaches! Those are freestone peaches, which is why the stone falls loose so easily. The clingstone kind won't fall out like that and has to be cut away. We usually remove the fruit blooms on our trees the first two to three years so the fruit trees will concentrate on growing instead of fruiting. If you prune back your peach trees every year in their dormant season to an "Open Center" shape with angled cuts above an outward-facing bud it will help you produce good fruit and reduce the likelihood of brown rot. Peach trees need air and light through the center. Sometimes fruit trees will drop fruit if too much fruit is clustered in one place. After bloom, it is best to thin out the fruit so there are about 6 to 8 inches between each fruit, more if the limbs are small. It keeps your limbs from breaking, increases the size and quality of the fruit, and stimulates the tree to produce more blooms the next year. We spray ours every two weeks with a fungicide and water them on a schedule. We grew softball-sized juicy peaches (and other fruit trees) at our previous home using these methods. Now we are starting all over again with tiny trees.
I should have said we used these methods on peach trees. Most of our other kinds of fruit trees were pruned to a central leading branch, but still kept pruned back so we could pick the fruit while standing on the ground even on our older trees.
Never be afraid to eat the Fruits of your Labor because you are educating us on how they produced and providing us with a true taste test. I like your honest on the results on all that you have done.
I planted a red haven 8 years ago and have not had one peach! I have also planted another variety for pollination (Can't remember the name right now) the same time and no peaches from it either. I do have cedar trees and read years ago they can't be near them. The cedars are very old and I can't cut them down even if I wanted to, we have neighbors who have them growing so it would be a huge waste of beautiful trees.
The peaches makes my mouth water. I haven't had a good peach in years! The ones in the grocery stores aren't ripe when picked so they are not nice and sweet and are usually mealy....
Wow that’s amazing! Okay now I’m going to show my ignorance, I know you said this was grown in a green house but do you need to have a place that there are flies or bees so that they pollinate the flowers so they bear fruit? Or am I mixing up my high school science? Lol! I’d love to grow a peach tree in our home we have an amazing two storey ceiling so they height that it grows would not be an issue and we are south facing and get the hot sun year round even despite the fact that we live in Toronto, ON, Canada there are some days in the dead of winter that we have to turn on our a/c because it’s just too hot in here! So I’m just curious do you think it would grow and bare fruit indoors??
i LOVE PEACHES BUT I GET TO MANY DESEASES , DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PEACH LEAF CURL OR DO YOU NOT GET IT BY GROWING IN THE GREENHOUSE, THEY LOOK GREAT DANNY.
How will it get chill hours? Will you carry it outside during the winter then bring it back into the green house in the spring? And if you do that how will it be able to stand in a storm?
LOL Wanda!!! “These peaches are making it no farther than our mouths”. My mouth was watering. I’d dearly love to have a REAL peach like that. As you guys said...it’s been years.
That's amazing peaches in one year, they look so fresh and clean. I watched Oppenheimer ranch project tracking Cristobal and it looks like its for New Orleans and Mobil, so you might have a Blessing, Take care 👍💓😍🍑🍑🍑
Is been so up and down temps here in CA I’m wondering if my peaches will ever ripen. I grew my trees from seed and it’s been 5 years and they are heavy with fruit. (Peach and Nectarine) I did get a small apricot from my 1 year old tree I also grew from seed it was wonderful I’m just in a small suburban lot so no room for a greenhouse but I have a long growing season and relatively mild winters here. Im jealous I’m still waiting on my peaches. Got a couple last year in it’s first fruiting but your video makes hungry 😋
I'm jealous, I only got three peaches on my tree but I thank God for that

Glad to see their doing well. Won't it get too hot in the greenhouse during the southern summer?
We have fans that run and keep the air moving.

Wow they look amazing!! I haven’t had a home grown peach since I was a kid. Thanks for sharing the first taste test with us ❤️

Only 1 year old peach tree producing?! I am impressed!

Don't peaches need Chill Hours?
Wow, it's like a flash back in time to when food was authentic. Thank you for that. It reminds me of picking peaches with my grandpa.
Sorry you two had to suffer for the cause, LOL but somebody has to do it. But it's turning out so successful.
The peaches makes my mouth water. I haven't had a good peach in years! The ones in the grocery stores aren't ripe when picked so they are not nice and sweet and are usually mealy....
Just saw the updated forecast. Sending love and prayers y'alls way. Hope everything turns out okay.
Beautiful peaches! Stay safe, prayers for y’all and all others throughout the South. ♥️🌻

Not had any problems yet.
Why do you not eat the skin? Lots of nutrition in it.
We were showing how easy they peel for canning.
Good morning and thank you! Did you hand pollinate or are they parthenocarpic?
The bee's pollinated them.
Peach size? I prefer the smaller size. Usually sweeter in my estimation. Might just be me though.
These we're very sweet.
