For anyone reading this, I'm not a blogger but I notice the structure that the consulting firms use in their posts: 1.- Problem! (That most people would feel relatave) 2.- Solution 3.- Barriers 4.- Breaking down the barriers 5.- Conclusion
I just started blogging and definitely these tips will go a long way for me. I do most of the time get drowned into my topic and not giving enough time to proof read. Now in addition to reading out loud I print out a hard copy and go through thoroughly. Thanks for sharing this valuable information with us the newbies.
I'm in the midst of revamping and relaunching my blog. These tips are just timely and definitely it helps me get into the right mindset to begin blogging more consistently. Thank you so much Pat!
I'm going to start my blog about Digital Transformation, Energy Efficiency, Leadership & innovation and your advices were great for me. Thanks a lot Pat!!!
Thank you so much Pat. Your presentation was so clear and on too point. As a beginner who is preparing to start my own blog site, am very happy that you have truly guided us to the write direction.
Edited version of this UA-cam video. This version helps me better understand the original. Tip #1 0.39 Make sure you know what you are writing about. Topics, answers. audience's transformed to ...? Tip #2 1:28 From transformation, create outline (mind map) Tip #3 2:45 - Engage Readers (i.e. Start Strong!, amazing story) Tip #4 3:45 - Google Docs, with the real you; not Wordpress (no anti-creative editing) Tip #5 6:00 - Title and Description must be SEO Compelling and Relevant Tip #6 7:46 - Make your post scannable; paragraphs! Tip #7 - 8:51 - Use visuals (i.e. images) to break up your posts Tip #8 - 9:58 - Include Calls to Actions (CTA; 1 or 2; inside & at end) Tip #9 - 11:55 - Proofread (external editor) the post! (read it out loud; print out) Tip #10 - 13:03 - Stop trying to be perfect!
Tip #10 was so meant for me. Had been delaying 6 drafts in the past 15 days, trying to make them perfect everytime I started writing. Love your tips, bro! :D
Hey Pat, I can't believe I just discovered your work. This video is wonderful. Even though I've been blogging for 3 years actively now, I'm finding 8 out 10 points you made in this video to be fresh and applicable. Thank you for posting this!

Thanks so much Pat for those golden nuggets. I appreciated so many pointers. 2 were: write a title/blog that "transforms" people's lives; CTA's within our blog. Gonna do those, thanks again.
As a writer in general, I find using the free Natural Reader program to be helpful with proofreading since there is an instinctive human tendency to make corrections in our brain - even while reading aloud - that we don't register. The program reads it back to you exactly as written. The other thing it does, is that it gives you an idea of the reading pace and rhythm of the written work. So if it starts to feel out of breath, that's where you need white space or images to create a break. Sometimes it's a matter of rewriting a sentence or two to get rid of that out of breath feeling - which in turn makes it easier for people to read.
I have one post on my blog and have been procrastinating because I've been trying to make everything "perfect". It's been hindering my progress as you point out in your last tip. lol. I actually "wrote" out all of the tips in this video and I'm working on finally posting my next post. Thanks for the helpful information.
I want the t-shirt! Seriously. I love it. Super tips Pat. btw - I always listen to UA-cam videos on 1.5 speed and at that speed you are still very clear and understandable. cheers.
Good stuff. I've really been hung up on creating something perfect. And the idea of focusing on the transformation you want your readers to go through is really helping me come up with ideas of what to write.
I have watched so many videos over the last week and took bits from each of them but not really certain until I watched this oen, Thank You for sharing
Thank you Pat. I found you through the Writers Market and downloaded your free passive money book on creating my ebook. I really get you because I too have had that block in which I focus on everything rather than outlining and focusing so much on editing as I go and perfection that I procrastinated and loss sight of my book totally. I am going to take your advice and try again. Thanks so much for helping me to see that because for so long I was feeling that I wasn't good enough, but I am and I have a lot to offer.
Excellent tips, Pat! I love Google docs for the voice type feature. It helps me get my thoughts out quickly and then I can go back and edit later. I'm a public speaking coach and these tips also apply to writing a stellar talk or speech. Love the dual value here!
Hey Pat Flynn, this video content was really helpful, your voice has a nice tone, and you speak in an easy listening cadence. I will watch you again. happy day.
Nice video. I've just created a new SEO tool and need to market the hell out of it. Thanks for the tip about transformations, I've never heard about that before. I definitely need to plan my blog posts (and videos) about taking my visitors on a journey and pursuade them why they need my offerings. I have of course heard about the whole people loving stories narrative. This has served me so well over the years. 10 years ago I got interested in a particular widget and started posting about it on a forum. Man I had so many troubles with this widget. But then I looked - and wow - my posts had got thousands of views! People love stories - especially disastrous and funny ones that they can learn from.
Wow! This is great. I subscribed to you after watching you talk about podcasting on Sunny’s channel. I’m into podcasting right now, but I still owe a writing client several blog posts. This gave me a few ideas for improving my writing and getting over my writer’s block. Thanks for sharing!
Just found your channel and your podcasts. This has come at the perfect time for me and your content is amazing! Helpful and inspirational. Thank you for your hard work, you are now helping me on my new path. Subbed!
So helpful! I can’t wait to go through and learn from all your videos! I found you through The Virtual Savvy’s video and remembered I heard so many people mention you through EBA. Tfs!
Thank you! The last tip should be framed. I've put my blog "on hold" for 4 years out of fear. Off-topic: your voice sounds very similar to that of the guy from "Charisma on command" UA-cam channel. (I was too sleepy, so, instead of watching this video I just listened to it. This is how I noticed.)

One of the more constructive, and humorous, bits of advice I've seen. Loved it.

I liked it "Stop worrying about perfect "
Same.
Reading out loud has been the best thing for me. When I started that, it made a world of a difference
Pretty crazy how we can miss things when just reading in our head versus out loud!
Pat Flynn which is why every Valentine’s Day card requires that kind of editing process lol
I'm in the midst of revamping and relaunching my blog. These tips are just timely and definitely it helps me get into the right mindset to begin blogging more consistently. Thank you so much Pat!
Thank you Pat for sharing so much free information to help those that want to help others. You are very inspirational and relatable.
Thank you Charisse, I appreciate you!
I have No measure for the word "Perfect", but this is one of the best videos out there about writing a Blog or Website Content..Thank you

that post-it part is so creative! :D
Thanks a mill Pat. The tip about not allowing your editing brain to kill your creative brain is just what I needed.
I'm going to start my blog about Digital Transformation, Energy Efficiency, Leadership & innovation and your advices were great for me. Thanks a lot Pat!!!
I would REALLY love to watch you give us an example of how you do that for a post of your own! :)
Thank you so much Pat. Your presentation was so clear and on too point. As a beginner who is preparing to start my own blog site, am very happy that you have truly guided us to the write direction.
Thank you Pat. Yes, I am not procrastinating and started my projects and refining them as i go.
