Writing has always been a passion, no matter what it was: note, how my day was, family, short stories, etc. I wanted to write for newspapers first, but that a bit out there. Then I wanted to blog so bad, but forgot about it (I was close to setting up and the blog site never finished). After that, I discovered freelance writing. But I want to become a blogger. I'm still in college, but I can blog about my college experience during covid and what it was like growing up being part of Gen Z and all the chaos we've created, and many other topics. Thanks a lot for the encouragement. I love journaling. So I recently started a blog. I enjoy the experience so far. I do have a length issue. I like to discuss complex topics in depth. I get so thorough that the post gets long. Subdividing that stuff is difficult. I like the tip to just start blogging. That is nice. I can keep going, and I can get better at practice. I like the tip for quantity is to do what works best for you. That is so nice. I know that short snappy posts are popular. It is also popular to to break down posts into teeny tiny paragraphs. I find this to be very difficult to do. I think maybe I should just do what works for me and just write longer posts. It is easier to write long posts than short posts. Agonizing over what to split and what to trim is so hard that I discourages me from the writing process. I have tried to keep posts down to 1k words. Now I see that is not realistic, not with my skill level. 1k words is only enough for a a long paragraph or two and that is it. I can't cover a topic in depth, even a very specific one. I ought to be more generous on my self. I would like to learn what are the benefits of longer posts, and then I can capitalize. I can give myself a word limit of 3k per post and one page per paragraph. Maybe I can tighten the limits gradually once I get practice.

I've had to learn this year when blogging I need to commit to a schedule. I've been so in and out of touch with my blog to a point i didn't care because I had so much with school and life going on. Every time I spread out the amount of blogging I do; I always tell my readers, "so very sorry, been out on long term health issues or school has kept me. I am still alive though!" I try to make my blog be about my personality, which is very sarcastic. I am having a hard time figuring out my writing style for my bogs. Any tips on that would be awesome. Im going for communication degree, so my writing style is very important for me.

Create them in an ebook you can legally make your own to avoid plagiarism. Not sure about the details of it but that may be something to look into

I've had to learn this year when blogging I need to commit to a schedule. I've been so in and out of touch with my blog to a point i didn't care because I had so much with school and life going on. Every time I spread out the amount of blogging I do; I always tell my readers, "so very sorry, been out on long term health issues or school has kept me. I am still alive though!" I try to make my blog be about my personality, which is very sarcastic. I am having a hard time figuring out my writing style for my bogs. Any tips on that would be awesome. Im going for communication degree, so my writing style is very important for me.

This is the best advice I’ve seen yet regarding the ins and outs of starting a blog. Thank you so much for this! I have had a blog in the past but didn’t keep up with it. I had taken on more than i could chew at that time. However, I am looking to start again. It will just be blogging a couple days a week this time. Only blogging though.
I love your key points. Im gonna do a blog but what platform would you recommend that can sustain but at no cost for beginner ?

Hey, I am a student and I write poems. I have till now written quite many poems and those who read them, praise me for the quality of the content and the way of writing. I am not able to find any platform from where I can share my poems on a larger level. Help me in guiding also keeping in mind that my poems should not be stolen by anyone else.
Please tell any other idea than publishing a book.
