I'm a Super Jump fan. Nearly as fast as teleport when you use double jump and pulse it. Also defense full time ( tele can't claim that ) Hover is wonderful, but can be replaced by the void skiff in 99% of cases, without taking up a power slot. I like them all, and use them all, but I find leaping to be the superior pool, for me.
I'd settle for running on water and getting a massive jump boost when you jump from ledges. Running up walls would be so jank with all the fire escapes and uneven terrain on buildings lmao
@@solblackguy Running on water would be another cool thing to see. As for the obstacles on the buildings. It would just make it more interesting and if they could add a stumble animation when you ran into them even funny.
I also prefer flight. There are times when teleportation makes more sense for the theme of my character. But I still find it frustrating to use at times. I probably need to give super jump another chance. but I also agree on superspeed. I'm sure all the reasons you listed are why I never see anyone use it.
Now that you mentioned how many people you see using these travel powers. I think for me the list still works. As I see the number of players using them would put them in that order.
@@ControlledChaosGaming Yep, that's about right. Flight is just too easy to use, and it's kind of fun. Even if it doesn't make sense for my melee characters, I'd still rather use it. But I think I'll respec and give super jump another chance.
How do you use teleportation? Are you using binds? I usually do "/bind LeftDoubleClick PowExec_Name Teleport" so that you can just double-click your LMB and it'll insta tp you to they location (Or as close to that location as your range takes you). For CoH the binds and macros make it an entirely different playing experience.
Super Jump and Leaping are just more fun to me. Juming from rooftop to rooftop never gets old and I have an acrobatic character I use jump attack for because it's funny. I think my least used power next ro flight is super speed. I only have a speedster so far and can't think of anything else to work it into. I'm hoping homecoming gives us goofy stuff like motorcycles or skates to give me more ideas.
Where's the love for Teleport? Fastest travel power. Lets you move past mobs you want to avoid (or, you know, Lady Jane). Lets you move through small spaces: if you can see something you can teleport there. You can teleport round corners by just changing your camera angle. Even ignoring the other powers in the set it's the only way to travel (and don't forget you can take powers from Multiple Travel Power Pools). Also Superspeed: takes some getting used to but comes with stealth. That's worth having.
I have teleport on my traps/dual-pistol defender. The mob teleport and fold space have really good synergy with stationary traps like caltrops and the new gravity bomb they added with a recent update.
Honestly i enjoy the free running from the utility belt wayyy too much. it's so much fun, and with a couple other powers it can outdo super speed. it's a mix of both super jump and super speed. give it a try!
Flight is best, agreed. Particularly if you play a hover blaster. Teleport pool is better than Jumping, though. Combat Teleport is the best movement power fo ra melee character. Super speed is better than jumping, too (IMO, of course). All the various movement modes are a lot of fun to explore and play with, regardless.
Oh, I love having Ninja Run and I agree with you about the recasting of teleportation being a pain due to the recasting needed. It just makes it harder to get around and have to do turns.

Yes it would and I would love to see one of the private servers add that in the game for super speed.

What powersets are you using on your character at 1:01?
That is a wind blast / will power Sentinel.

@@solblackguy Oh, I will have to build around that idea and make a video about it. I love tactical builds.
Now you need to do the other pool powers like Sorcery and Concealment.
I can do a guide on each of the pool powers.

That is a good one but not all servers have that power pool. I just did the main ones because of that.

Don’t forget that some MM love group fly for their minions. 👍🏻
I have done group flight with my Robot MM and they always seem to not fly at a slow speed than me and end up falling to the ground.
Taking Ninja Run or Athletic Run greatly improves SS. Teleport's range limit and constant need to re-cast is what makes it un-takeable for me.
