      Tack så mycket för det Eric 🙂 trevligt att höra! Mitt första hjälpen, ja…är ingen sjuksköterska direkt men har med det som rekommenderas. Plåster, skavsårsplåster, lindor, tryckförband lite Ipren och allergi piller samt sax och tejp. Förutom det så även laglappar för tält och liggunderlag. Men har väl inte direkt superkoll. Kanske dags att sätta sig in i det bättre 🙂

      Glad you liked the episode. 🙂 and we’ll, two in our gang brought a chair and yea, a bit jealous at times 😄 but for such a long hike 500 grams for a chair 🤔 I would say it’s not worth it! A sit pad is enough… even is it is a great piece of gear.

    Hej Robert, Fjällräven Classic is on my ToDo list for the next years. Great video, as always! Did the Timp 3 work on the Kungsleden, the terrain is not very easy going in some parts. How did you keep your feet dry? This seems to be my greatest concerns about using my LonePeak 5 for longer trails, cold, wet feet...

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  Рік тому

      Thanks 🙂 And a great hike and something to looking forward to for sure! Regarding my Timp 3a they worked great for that hike, good grip (good enough anyways) and light weight.
      Sure , if raining you will get wet. I don’t mind and have dry socks of the evenings. The shoes draines okay and doesn’t give you blisters or anything if hiking in them when wet.
      Only problem I had was the inner sole that gave up like 10 km before the end after 10h in rain… folded itself inside the shoe, just removed it and continued. Didn’t feel any difference 😄
      No problem using trailrunners on Kungsleden.

    Thanks Robert. Great video. What do you think of the Atom pack now you've had it a bit longer? Anything to add to the previous video, changes or configurations you'd change? Thanks

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 роки тому

      Hi Greg and well yes, still love the pack but if I would be ordering it today I would do some smaller changes. First I would change the closure of the pack to be able to secure it on the sides rather then on the top, just like I did with the ULA CIRCUIT. The reason is that if you roll down, and clip the buckles on the top like I do now…it creates a small “pocket” that collects water in the rain. The second thing would be not to order the hip belt pockets, now that I have changed to use the fanny pack instead. But, it is also nice to have them if I need them or want to go back and using them.

      @@roberthammenrudh Thanks Robert. Appreciate the reply. And you find the 50L OK? I'm tempted by the 60L Mo just to have some extra room. The just in in case syndrome :-). Not for heavy items per se, more for a bit of extra bulky stuff e.g. down jacket/pants. Few extra layers. Do you think that's overkill?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 роки тому

      Well it all depends on the gear off course, I have tons of room left in my 50l with the gear I have and could have easily chosen the 40l version instead. Even if I bring down pants, down jacket and my helinox zero and over 1 week of food. I think, if you don’t have more traditional gear an 60l is overkill. You also have to keep in mind they don’t include the mesh front in the volume…and there you gave like 10l extra.

    Tack för många bra tips, kul att få följa din UA-cam kanal Robert! Vart kan man få tag på bra pack liners? jag tycker många lätt blir hål i.

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  2 роки тому +1

      Tack så mycket för alla positiva ord 🙂 och alltid kul att man kan bidra med något nytt. Liners är väl enklast om man får tag på tex sopsäckar som är för lite hårdare tag. Sådana finns ofta på kedjor som jem och fix mfl. Annars kan man köpa från Backpackinglight.se. Jag har provat lite olika och dom brukar klara sig en säsong eller så.

    Many thanks Robert for your helpful video! I am doing the Fjällräven Classic 2022. Do you think the cumulus quilt 250 (combined with a Therm-a-Rest Xtherm) is a reasonable choice for this trip?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  2 роки тому

      Glad You liked this episode and that you found it useful. 🙂 Well, regarding the 250 hmm. I used the 300 (250 +50 overfill) and had no problem and I am a cold sleeper. The temperatures rarely get any lower than 7-10 degrees that time of year and often warmer so to bring a 250 should be sufficient. I see many recommend like a quilt or sleeping bag for 0 degrees or even less but for that time of year…we’ll yea, some years there has been temperatures around zero but…you will be ok in 0 with a 250 as well a night here and there. Myself have used my 300 down to -7!! then I used my puffie and down pants but anyways…it’s ok!
      Short answer…a 250 quilt is ok! 👍🏻
      Have a great trip and good luck ❤️
      I have been thinking about returning to the classic in a year or two…such a great event!! 🙂

    Tjänare Robert, the Hilleberg Enan; is it up to the job? I’ve heard it can get pretty windy on the Fjällräven Classic. I tempted more by the Anjan 2 for the extra space it offers over the Enan, but it weighs a bit more, maybe the Akto would be a better choice as it is from Hillebergs red rage and more tålig.

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  2 роки тому +1

      Well. I ended up bringing the Big Sky Revolution 1.5 since it arrived in the mail just a week or two before the Classic and that worked just fine. The Enan is for sure up to it and so is a lot of other tents as well. Akto as a Red Label tent is for sure a stronger thicker and heavier tent and off course it can take more wind but, you can in most cases, if it get’s really windy find a more protected spot where to pitch the tent so…you are fine using the Enan in my opinion.

    Hej Robert. Just got my Altra Timp 3 shoes and tried them for the first time today. I wonder if you could explain your system for using these shoes and dealing with wet feet/socks. Do you waterproof the shoes or use waterproof socks? How do you dry your socks and shoes, and also what is your foot care routine and tips when out on the trail. Thanks.

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  2 роки тому +1

      Hi and well, I don’t do anything in particular, an no waterproofing!
      The idea is to get wet if raining and keep them on for water crossings and let the water drain and shoe and sock to dry while walking or during night.
      For socks I use Injinji Run Mini Crew, nothing else.
      When reaching camp I remove the inner sole and my socks and use the Timps as camp shoes barefoot during evening. Then I also wash my socks and hang them to dry, outside or inside the tent depending on weather.
      During the night I sleep in dry wool socks and in the morning hopefully the shoes and socks are dry. Otherwise…we’ll, I use them anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️ a rainy day you get wet again and a warm day they dry within minutes using them.
