I agree. I am tempted to take the foam out of one of these new Soma bras that I just purchased. I feel like I have torpedo boobs with these bras. But I hate to ruin it as well in case it doesn’t work. ….

Not all are heavily padded. The light padding gives a smooth look under clothes such as T-shirts and more, your nipples also do not show through, which is important to me.
They also stand away from you skin, so it shows its padded.
I’m a 34DDD and left SOMA bras behind several years ago as Chicos FAS (parent company) made manufacturer changes and the quality diminished. Please research Chantelle bras (pricier but well worth it) at Dillard’s. Feels like a dream and they last. Natori “Feathers” also highly recommend for those with a smaller requirement. Both brands have excellent panties. My battle with a strapless bra was recently slayed when Spanx released one this year that is fantastic. I’ve owned each of the ones you featured and they just didn’t accommodate my DDD requirement. Now if I could find a fully cotton bikini that wasn’t $45 a pair, looked cute and was comfortable…that’s my next effort.

I’m a 34GG/36G and I love lace my unlined bras. So comfortable and doesn’t show under my tight ribbed tops.

Truth: few women look good with bare legs. Wearing lovely panty hose is like magic makeup for your legs…smooths, disguises spider veins, scars, crepe, etc. what’s not to like? Think Princess Kate…her legs always look gorgeous - over 40 and 3 kids…panty hose need to come back in fashion.
Princess Kate is a great example of how to wear them👌.
Another great alternative is a fine fishnet tight,-they look like a more modern pantyhose, elegant Italian women wear them. Wolford do a beautiful pair very pricey but last for years if taken care of. There are very fine tights to choose from a good Italian brand that sells online in the U.S is Calzedonia, good quality and good pricing :)

Save your money and don’t even bother with sticky bras. Just no. Not ever. Not in a million years will a sticky bra be your friend.

How timely this video is for me! This is probably my favorite and most helpful video yet for me. Thank you, thank you for covering this topic. I am losing weight and none of my bras or underwear fit. I need to invest but I don’t want to spend a lot of money until I reach my goal. But I know what I can look for in the interim. Funny story, I found out my underwear was too big when they fell down, while was walking to the post office for work. Thank god I pants on that day. But I had to hold them up by holding on the waistband my of pants on the return trip to my office.

I tried a sticky bra last month for a wedding. I got one with sticky straps that wrap on each side, no sticky in the cups. It worked really well and I am a C.

I’m a slip girl! Unless I’ve got lining I’m wearing the slip with a skirt or dress. I’ve just ordered a 100 percent cotton slip and can’t wait to try a cooler, non-sticky option.

Not off the top of my head. I would look at Soma & Nordstrom.
Only cotton for me.
Cotton is great, but my favorite everyday bras are made from bamboo: natural, breathable, anti-microbial, ‘silkier’ than cotton and dry a bit more quickly. When I wear a more structured bra of polyester or nylon, I can’t wait to get it off, and that is partly due to the sweaty, icky-feeling fabric.

The Chantelle seamless panties are *by far* the best ‘no-show’ panties I’ve tried. I always keep a few pairs just for those outfits that might show a VPL. Expensive, but worth it! For everyday, I love Natori’s cotton styles; again, a little on the pricey side, but they are very durable and outlast cheaper brands.

A balconette style bra works well for petites as long as you are not larger than size c cup.

@@poisedpetitethey are best when lined with noylon covered with lace. They are all under wire and hard to find, even in speciality bra stores. They fit those who have breasts that are fuller on the bottom and sides with less fullness on the top of the breast. If your cup size is almost a C cup with a band size 36 or less it's a good fit. If your full busted it won't work no matter what cup or band size. That style acts like a semi push up bra but without any padding.

The number 3 from Soma I got conned into buying in Chicago last year.why was I conned? Once I wore them for a couple of hours heated up by my body temp the fabric had no hold...none, the girls really sagged....I used to wear Maidenform ones that never sagged comfy but were so I still have a couple faded and need replacing. I even took the bra in to show the "fitter" ha.Here I am again in Chicago this summer....so here I go again on the great bra hunt. Spent alot on somethimg I will never use...really pissed me off. SOMA sleep bras dont hold em for overnight or just watching a TV movie.

Totally agree about nude underware! I finally gave up on front clip bras. They took forever to get on, then I couldn't get out of them! I really don't like women in anklets.

I’m 67…..look late 40-50….. worked out,athlete all my life. Only wear sheer bras, love black bras under white shirts (movie Constantine) so pretty creates an illusion/mystery.

Hi lve not tried their bras yet, due being larger bust as they look more type to sleep in or lay around the house in. I’ve had underwear for 6 years and they’re very comfortable, last good couple of years before you feel a little give in elastic near lower bottom. Company is Boody.

Hello and thank you for research you’ve done. I’m in market for a beige bra but lve a large bust and lm tired of being uncomfortable wearing underwire bras. I’ve been wearing a bamboo brand which wears well. Only tried their underwear, name is Boody. PS l like natural skin tones as well.
I’m not familiar with a bamboo bra, I’ll have to check that out.
Boody is great! I love their bras, but I have a small bust. So soft and comfy! And they are breathable, so I don’t get as sweaty and clammy-feeling on hikes. I did notice that they have styles for larger busts…. worth a try!

Yes, after a round of physical therapy from injuring my shoulder pulling off a tight sports bra, I now do that, too! 😑
No matter how light or thin or back support, the underwire is the most uncomfortable. And then you give bras that are breathable lightweight but yet they dig in to your rib cage, even if they don’t have wire.
It’s definitely hard to find the right bra.

Looking for a good bra is a nightmare. I am 5'1, wear a 38D (wide ribcage) and always try to minimize. I know I should not complain as so many women have had breast cancer. I had 3 first cousins (sisters) that passed away of breast cancer, and I'm sure they'd rather be here and have what I think is annoyance.

Soma doesn't fit everyone, particularly if you wear larger than a D cup. Also, "Vanishing back" has no adjustment as it begins to stretch.

I have always worn seamless flesh toned underwear with light colours. I am short, slim and find it difficult to find bras to fit a small bust. Does anyone else wear an A or double A bra size? Every style starts at 34 B.
I’ve seen A options at Soma.
I have the same issue. Natori makes *some bras that start at 32A.* They’re well made and have a nice, natural cup shape, some padded, some not. You’ll need to type a search for the size, because only a few styles come in an A; most of their bras start at 30B or 32B; the cup size on the 30B is very similar to the cup size on the 32A, so it may still work for you. Wacoal also has some bras in A, but I didn’t find them to be as comfortable or flattering as the Natori. For unstructured comfort bras, Boody fits me well (running a little small in the band). They’re soft, comfy, made from bamboo, and come in several style and colors (online). Good luck!

As a matter of fact, yes, there are a lot of options for mastectomy patients. There are a lot on Amazon as well as other retailers.

Ok. Maybe if you are a B cup or smaller this will work for you. I have NEVER found one to fit me, hold me, shape me or anything resembling ads for them.

Why can't someone do a video for how to help us and not show us size a size 36B and expect us to believe we can size up. Again we laugh. Just because we are 38 and 40 DDD E,F, we still like a good bra.

I tried the Soma 360 Vanishing back bra and it is junk! The front clasp is a cheap plastic and is mounted in such a way that it dug into my skin. I’m sure it would not have lasted long. Because there is no adjustment to the band, I went up a size based on the company’s size chart. It was so small. Along with the bra, I tried their panties that were supposed to be tummy control. Again, junk. Stay with well known brands. Fortunately, the company refunded all my money without question.
