Hi Louis! Another great video. I will use the tip you gave for setting the arrow to the field elevation. Up until now, I simply said it to whatever the 80s was I compared it to the field elevation but I like your method. A tip I can share that you may or may not do is after I advance to full power on the runway, I glance over and make sure the oil pressure is in the green as you do, but I also look at the RPMs. And the SR 22T, I make sure it is somewhere around 2470. Yours, being the NA, might be 2670. The reason I do that is that it will immediately show you that you are not producing the power you normally do and is an early warning to not continue.
I just reread my post. Was using voice to text so sorry for the stupid words. BTW, another great feature with the G1000 NXI is that after you hit the TOGA button, also hit the HDG button and it will put that in standby. At 400 ft AGL it will move it to active automatically. This is very useful when they give you a heading to fly after takeoff.
I am not a CFI…where are you located and maybe I can give you a recommendation. I love the idea of learning in what you want to actually fly! Thanks for watching
Nice flight, and an excellent explanation of the glass avionics. Good luck the brother Steve and on his flight training!
Thank you Russ
Another great and informative flight. Great panel. A LOT more than I had in my 152 trainer!
Too funny! Thank you for watching. Yes, the Garmin panel is awesome! It definitely makes life easier.
Really enjoy your videos and Pro tips.
Thanks for watching! There aren’t really “pro” tips- just what works best for me.
Good stuff! I soloed at Wings field in 1983. Looks like they’ve done some improvements since then 😊
Thanks for watching. I believe they have….been through a few different operators since then. I have been there the Past 5 years.

Great point Michael -you are 100% correct. I do check the RPM & % power but should have verbalized it. Thanks for pointing it out and for watching!

Good Day! Are you a cfi? I want to get some flight training but id rather do it in Cirrus as this is what I plain to fly.

@@phillypilot I'm in the Washington dc area. However I would commute to the Philly area if I feel the CFI is a good fit.
