It's so interesting how different we all are. I just recently crashed in a real tough burnout and realized that what made me most happy is to stop striving, stop wanting more. For me, my happy life is appreciating what I have and not always wanting more. I am very happy to be content with what I have, it is tough to get there. I love having a healthy family, I love living a simple life and not wanting to strive for a huge income and other things. That said, this video is very good and concrete when wanting to change things and we all hit those times in life when we feel unhappy.
I recently did a re-evaluation of my personal and career goals and realized that where I am now, career-wise, was not in line with that. I love practicing, but some of the assignments I had were not my cup of tea and I also realized that I was ready to go out and hang my own shingle. So I informed my boss over the past week that I would be leaving my job in about a month. It definitely came as a surprise to her but I am so grateful that she understands that I'm at a point of transition and is so willing to work with me by keeping me per diem to work on the files that I actually enjoy while also allowing me to have a smooth transition. Planning for your life is definitely important. Great tips!
Hi Joseph and Tasha! I've been watching your videos for some months now and I just wanted to say thank you for all the knowledge and advice that you share on this channel. Even though there are certain things I can't apply to my life since I live in Argentina, you still inspire me to build my own "one big happy life".
My guess is that they had conversations about what they wanted their lives to look like before they decided to commit to each other. If 2 people want different things in life they shouldn't be committing to spend life on the same path and would be better as friends on different paths.
I am also in my 20s, and my advice would be to try out a bunch of different stuff. If you don't like it, you have something to add to the "not this" list. If you do like it, what do you specifically like about it? Add that to your "want" list. This applies to jobs, hobbies, and all kinds of relationships.
I absolutely LOVE this video. This is so inspirational for me as a nineteen year old gal starting to take charge her own life. So grateful for all your free resources :)
Perfectly timed video Tasha and Joseph. I've been feeling a bit like a hamster on an exercise wheel lately so there was definitely some useful tips in this video for me. I choose to view road blocks as a temporarily barrier that causes me to detour on my way to achieving my goals - and normally those detours teach me good lessons.
Damn this takes like the best parts of several articles I read and combines into an amazing video, you guys got yourself a new subscriber with the bell on ;)
I get the positive connotation behind not calling bad decisions mistakes but honestly, I think people (including myself) make mistakes all the time and they truly are mistakes. As in we knew better, but we did it anyway.
Love this! I’m a HUGE planner too. Hoping we will be “retired” in 5 1/2 years. We are looking for a perfect, “mythical” place to spend the winters in our retirement.
Great video! I love the idea of actively taking control of my life. A workbook or planer for taking these steps would be very useful. Do you think you could create one? Please keep up the good content. You guys rock.
I absolutely loved this video! My husband and I plan and replan often. We are constantly making tweaks to our life plan....part of that is because my husband is active duty military...so some things are out of our control but having a plan has really helped us in so many ways. Thanks for sharing! Awesome content!
Hi Alecia, I check our email service provider and it shows that you were sent the budget on March 14, 2018. I just resent the email so it should be at the top of your inbox. Please be sure to check your spam or promotion folder if you don't see it.--Tasha
Hello Tasha! I find your channel and videos very inspirational! My parents are from Guyana, too, and I was born here in the U.S. Do you mind if we connect offline?

How did you both get on the same page about planning your lives?
Mahogany Charlton Roland That's a great question

Great video all. Could you sometime do a video for people who do not know what they want? It seems to be something some struggle with in their 20's?

I can't get the one-year financial budget template off of your website. I have asked for it many times.

What are you suggestion to someone who has hit a mid life crisis over 40 and is now scared to death because of Fear to make a move.
Hi guys! Can you possibly do a video on how to go about asking your employer for a raise😳

I see you are selling shirt and stuff with teespring. I am considering using this for my non-pofit and wondering how you like.
Joseph, you don't look a day over 25!
