I'm watching this because i can't find a clear answer on where to go and where to find the underground area where death is.I am getting super frustrated and might quit again.
This is one of my favorite Castlevania games next to Simon's Quest, so I've played it quite a few times. I was going to make videos going through the game with each class, but I decided later that would have been overkill....
Heh. This game will always hold a special place in my heart. I might do other videos of this game with the other classes some time in the future...Who knows...
I’ve been stuck in this game for like 6 months and decided to find some help. I stumbled onto your video and your story. First of all, my condolences to your father and the rest of your family. You were taken much too soon, but you fought so hard. You are truly an inspiration Jeremy. I’ll be back once I roll credits and we’re gonna go through this game together.
In this game, once you beat it, you unlock a "class". For example, the fighter class can't use magic, but their HP, strength, and defense stat goes up a lot more than normal. The magician class starts with all the cards, and has more MP growth, etc. There's quite a few different classes to play as which really makes the replayability of this game quite high.
This video really helped me out in finding where to go after the zombie dragon fight. Saved me many hours of running around lost. I also read on here that the person who did this walkthrough passed away. Thank you so much for this video, and may you Rest In Peace. My heart goes out to the family.

One of the best in the series. I love this one, I'm 27, I was little when it came out but God, how I loved this game and everything that surrounded it. 11/10 for me
I had 1 and 3 for the NES and Legends for the Gameboy and never liked them. Then found out people loved SotN but haven't played it (to this day) and didn't get all the hype about "Metroidvanias" (Metroid being another series I wasn't too fond of; being an arcade game player mainly). Then pre-ordered the GBA and knew this existed but didn't go for it (mistake). Then played it in adult years, via EZ Flash and... Yeah it's awesome. People claim that the other GBA sequels are better so I guess I should stop caring bout their graphics and go for it because to me this was/is a 10. I still haven't played the others for GBA, the graphic style of those have turned me off, but this one I've replayed a few times. Am in the middle of replaying it now on the RG351P. The card system annoys me, these last playthroughs I've missed the healing power every time (first playthrough was lucky enough to get all cards) so it would've been better if the cards had fixed positions imho, but other than that...
I still watch all these old castlevania walkthroughs as it brings back a lot of good memories to my childhood and when i first got started into playing games. R.I.P SaikyoMog

The music during the first dialogue strongly reminds me of the music in another classic game, but I cannot recall which one. Does anyone notice that too? Maybe another Castlevania game?
I discovered that I had heard it while playing Castlevania Bloodlines. It's the first track of the soundtrack. It's possible that it's used as a signature melody throughout the series.
I just refurbished my Game Boy Advance with a new casing, buttons, and a glass screen lens over an AGS-101 backlit display, so I decided to play Circle of the Moon again but forgot how tricky it gets. Maybe this time around I'll have the patience because I'll be able to see whats actually happening on the screen. Thanks for the walkthrough!
FYI: If you wanted to play this game using a lit screen, you could have just used a GBA SP, any of the DS models which can play GBA games, or a Gamecube Gameboy player. All official Nintendo hardware options that can play GBA games with a backlit screen.
Lol u made it look so simple. I literally gave up the game many years ago during elementary school cuz it was so difficult. I’ve played several others now and still feel this is the most difficult one
I am wondering.... I have a copy of Castlevania (CotM), and i love it so much. However, i am affraid i might lose my save games, coz of the battery But i read that u don't lose your save games (if the battery dies), u only lose the ability ! to save (and your save games will just stay on the cartridge) Who can tell me for SURE if this is true?? Right now everything is still OK, even after like 15 years... (though i havent tried to save any games for several years now, just play it every now and then)
Would've helped if the map was brought up every now and then (just to be able to jump in from any point after a certain boss or so and then to know where the character was).

Watched your tribute and i wish you and your family nothing but the best. Hopefully one day the find a cure for cancer. I won't lie when i say i did shed a tear.
Goddamn this game is awesome, but Dracula is so friggin’ hard in his 2nd form (his 1st phase is a breeze like it always is, all ya gotta do is whip him or throw crosses, axes, whatever subweapon you have while dodging the bats he spawns or fire birds or electric bats that go around in circles all while he spawns in different areas of the area, I’m surprised you can hit his body not just his head, but he ain’t messin’ around in his second form) because his attacks are deadly, they do massive damage and it’s hard to predict where the meteorites are going to be (I already know the pattern but I just wanna beat it!! Perhaps more studying or just “getting good”. Hey, wanna know a trick? Just pause the game over and over like a slow feature on a turbo controller, that might give you an easier time. Also if you can get behind him on the far left or right while he’s doing his laser attack, whip him to death or throw whatever you have to death), his blood bubbles poison you and his lasers almost kill you. When you do about enough damage, he starts going berserk like blinking/flashing white, flying into you (it almost kills you! but depending on level, it might be easier because you have higher defense or more HP, that was no problem in SOTN I beat it just like that) like 3 or 4 times (or however many times it was, but that was my experience) then he turns into an orb with bats surrounding it, still deadly. Need high potions, where can I get those? I sorta forgot. UPDATE: I may need to know how but asides that, I beat the game! Great game, it gets an 8.5 from me. Feel great after defeating a frustrating-as-hell boss. Dracula’s second form is definitely the hardest in my opinion because like I explained before, his attacks are deadly and can almost kill you like his laser! (Strategy came up with) Even when he’s blinking/berserk/whatever you want to call it, when he dashed into you, it can kill! Also the eye orb is hard to get to because bats are surrounding it and they can still kill you and it’s often up high in the atmosphere (if you know what I mean), I recommend slashing him with the thorn sword (Mars + Mandragora) in that phase, in the first phase in his second form, I use the Mars + Cockatrice (a dragon rooster hybrid that can petrify like Medusa/Gorgon, who would’ve thought a bull could petrify? It’s called Catoblepas. I’ve seen a Minotaur petrify, and that was in Rondo of Blood. Love the Cockatrice attribute) combination to attack him until he starts blinking. How about yours?
But goddamn the background is awesome and the final battle music is fucking awesome (not gonna spoil the final boss music of Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow) but not as epic as Falling Down from Mega Man Zero 4 as it is PERFECT (best final battle music ever on GBA). GBA music is awesome. Thank god for soundfonts so we could remix our favourite songs as if they were GBA songs.

Press up on the d-pad when you stand on the platform in the save rooms (rooms with big red ball atop the gold / bronze pedestal). select "yes" then the room will fill with a flash of white light and the red in the orb will be depleted as the game saves. It took me forever to figure this out as a 10 year old lol.

I hate the shade enemy class, as well as the other monsters that sound like them when killed. The only thing satisfying is killing them and hearing their death curdling shrieks.😃 They're such losers, Dracula keeps giving them new jobs and monster vessels but they always keep failing, they are so effing annoying... 😩 Attack whip and whirl whip is the best strategy to kill them while shielding yourself from their dirty projectiles. I wouldn't waste a crucifix but the save points are far and few in this and most stages of the game.

I had this game as a kid, but I sucked way too hard to get anywhere with it. Very cool game though.
I just finished watching the WHOLE gameplay and i must say, you're hella good ! You didn't need to save at all, you took your time and everything was on point.
I can never play like that, i end up panicking and jumping so much lol. I've beaten it before but i think i'll take my time like you did. On top of that you went in in the Area. It took me hella tries to get past it .-. Watching you made my self esteem low LOL. 10/10 gameplay though c:
Out of all the GBA Castlevania games, this one is my favorite. Played it so many times. I was thinking perhaps in the future I could do another one, but choosing another class, since playstyles do change a bit when using another class. A fighter run would be fun I think :P
@@SaikyoMog It's my first time ever in my emulator. But,i don't even know what to do in here?!

Oh how I remember this game...👏👏...
I have beaten dracula after countless attempt!!!! this game is much harder than harmony of dissonance
The soundtrack is top notch (it's orgasmic that's what I really wanted to say)
I had no idea. I might have to finish this game now.
Always teabag after a boss fight...
2:36:50 Battle Arena
My favorite Castlevania game ever
Great video
Thanks for watching. Jeremy would have appreciated it. Jeremy's dad
Lol u made it look so simple. I literally gave up the game many years ago during elementary school cuz it was so difficult. I’ve played several others now and still feel this is the most difficult one
Thanks for the comment. Jeremy would have appreciated it. Jeremy's dad
Haha. So I was off by a few hours it seems....
The patriot of Dracula in this version is also one of the best (if not the best) in my opinion
Your lack of saving is giving me anxiety 😳
Eventually
I am wondering.... I have a copy of Castlevania (CotM), and i love it so much.
However, i am affraid i might lose my save games, coz of the battery
But i read that u don't lose your save games (if the battery dies), u only lose the ability ! to save (and your save games will just stay on the cartridge)
Who can tell me for SURE if this is true??
Right now everything is still OK, even after like 15 years...
(though i havent tried to save any games for several years now, just play it every now and then)
Would've helped if the map was brought up every now and then (just to be able to jump in from any point after a certain boss or so and then to know where the character was).

SaikyoMog No problem man.
I was wondering lost for ages until I checked this video and found I was breaking a block I should've used as a platform 😭
One of the best castlevanias ever made right behind Symphony of the night,Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania lords of shadow.
So the hunters whip is the vampire killer?
Gonna go watch speed run later
iam kinda miss to play that game becouse when iam was a child i play that game
Sigh, why didn’t they add save rooms to near where you fight Hugh or the final battle? For you know, quicker or easier access.
Can someone tell me how to heal up. And what are the hearts for?
Still cant believe I beat this oh what fun
Pretende fazer videos do Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance e Aria of Sorrow?
I....don't know how I feel about this game....

Someome help me - how the hell do i save this on my gameboy advance?! thank u :)
Amazing walkthrough, RIP. Fuck cancer!

LOL, tell me about it...
Attack whip and whirl whip is the best strategy to kill them while shielding yourself from their dirty projectiles. I wouldn't waste a crucifix but the save points are far and few in this and most stages of the game.

The way the camera swings around is super disorienting. Game looks great otherwise, but that camera is terrible.
is this a rom hack or a actual game ?

nigga this game was so hard as a 5 year old child.
walkthrough would of been shorter but you insist in killing every single enemy in game. Thanks though.
If I exist out of the game and come back it won't start back at my last save point. Piece of crap game.
