Your son is very lucky to be able to polish his trade under a master. And to his credit he is very humble and willing to listen. It is a joy to watch you two.
I love watching you and Ganges working together. I’ve been on the channel for a while now and seeing him grow and you grow in how you teach is great to see. I love seeing the relationship grow over time. The passage of wisdom and experience in this day and age is a dying art. Glad to see you guys keeping it alive.
Humbled to be a small part of your big dream. Christine deserves all the credit! I’m just happy to help out so you can make a go of it. I believe in helping people who help others and you Brother are helping so many. Keep the Faith and follow your True North
Been watching Buckin's videos for a couple years now. Subscribed today. Not sure why I didn't before. Can't get enough of them. Tell Ganges to hold that axe tight and swing straight at the target and it won't ricochet off and damage wedges so bad.
I like the videos of ganges cutting down trees he gets it you've done well with him I was so reckless at his age hell I was reckless till about 35 37 now and you've helped me to be an optimist
Hey Buckin & Hogan, Great Work !! Hogan, you did a fantastic job on showing a Bore Cut for safety, and also for showing the Offset Face cut to prevent the possibility of a potential Barber Chair or Blowup !! Great job men !! 😎
That is a lucky kid to have a dad like you I have been fallen trees for 18 years I never had a dead to teach me every word you say he should listen and not interrupt you. You have more knowledge than most men in the tree industry
It’s pretty amazing how far all of this has come from an idea and a dream to impact hundreds of thousands of people in more ways than one. Buckin you and your family have to be some of if not the most influential people I have the pleasure of calling my friends. Love to you and the family❤️
I envy y'alls dynamics! As father and son you guys make it look so pleasant to to be embracing your craft as true pros ! It puts a big smile on my face! May the chips fly !!!
I think my favorite parts of your videos is you working with your boy, making him apart of the job, and the passion you both share for the work. Keep on keepin on gents.
I learned a LOT from this video! I am still trying to figure out low side and high side. This looks like a typical day of falling for me. What isn't typical is someone explaining things so well. "Uncle" Buckin if I remember the things you have taught me I will greatly benefit. Love Hogan in there. He is like a classmate in this school of Wood Smith.
low side=tree leaning over top of you. high side=tree leaning away from you. obvs if you are on a slope the high side is the high side but the theory is that you can better judge your lean when your not standing under it . thanks for the support friend
I have my own prospects of opening a blacksmith shop. My family heritage derives from potato farmers and blacksmiths in Maine whom decided to get a little hot with each other. I'm ecstatic to hear people like Billy want to bring back the olden ways of blue-collar work. Black, in this case. You do an amazing job on UA-cam, Billy. I learn almost 5 things a week, watching your content. Keep it up, keep blowing us away. You rock, feller. Also, I take all of the wedge cuts and woodburn/stain them into beautiful art pieces for my customers. I hope that you keep them.
I tell ya a big part of my day is sitting down with a hit cup of coffee and listening to your guidance and wisdom. Thankyou friend... Keep spreading the message your a good man amd your raising a heck of a son... Much love from VA. 💚💚✊🤙🤙
I did my first big leaning tree bore cut yesterday 20 inch bar on a 30+ inch maybe 35 inch. dead elm multi trunk monster. Seriously thank you for what you do, showing us these situation scenarios and putting these tools in our tool box to help us make better bangs. Ive cut for 30 years heavilly. Before i would of made a deeper open face. Cut the release and pounded a few wedges. Then chased the cut
Wonderful vid of the dynamic duo in action! Way cool way you handled that last tree Hogan, to put it where the customer wanted it, good demonstration on how to get 'er done! Take care and MAGKD! 🐶
Honestly. Anything too forward leaning I just bore cut. Doing bore cuts gives me joy. I even do bore cuts while I am up in the tree if it's leaning hard forward.
Well. Sometimes it's nice to just perfectly set up your hinge before you drop a tree. Most people, me included, do bore cuts when trees are leaning forward like crazy. Sometimes it's easier than having to race it. If you don't understand me saying "race it"... Well forward leaning trees can barber chair real easy and honestly it's scary if it's never happened to you.
@@mikeiancotter Thanks, for the great explanation. I don't cut often (have a farm) but maybe a big leaner one day. Cut a few big ones but well balanced tree.
The DOLMAR returns! Love it, man. I’ve been rippin’ with an old McCulloch and the old guy across the street is pretty fascinated with me! 32” bar and a skip chain, it ain’t quite as fast as a Dolmar but it’s versatile as hell! Cheers!
Love Your videos You explain the dynamics of nature and how to inspect and plan Your cuts. I am by no means a Lumber Jack or pretend to be one. We have a couple of really large dangerous trees cut down by tree services that were too close to the houses. For the nominal fee of $1,500 to $2,000 and up. I have a couple small Gas Chain saws and even a 40 volt 14 inch Ryobi electric chain saw. I was surprised at how long the batteries kept cutting. I am an older guy and do thing in small steps and try to plan things out 10 times before making a cut. We had a Large Old Oak Tree that the Power company has cut the center of the limbs away for clearance. Those cuts created 7 Very long horizontal limbs and the last Hurricane snapped one off. Well, I decided to try cutting the longest limb off that hung over the neighbors fence and shed. I got lucky and started cutting small lengths of the end of that branch off until the very end was well inside Our property line. I cut the small branches off and sectioned the main limb so I could move the pieces with My tractor. I am glad I was really lucky and got all the Large limbs down and cut up. I still have the main truck to get down but that will be next weeks project. I learned a good bit about Plunge cutting from You. Thanks Ken in Florida.
This may not be a big deal to you guys but to me that is some big wood, big cuts, big drops, and how those tiny little pieces of plastic banged just right with the cuts being just right... Excellent work. You guys are giants of the forest. Thanks for letting me be part of the Buckin Army... Hi-Fi-Ji the skinny guy from Pittsburgh... Greetings to all the new subscribers. Be safe Be strong Stay kind
I just bought a maktia branded 7900 with a wrap handle and I am having it modded and watching your videos makes me that much more excited to run it when I get it

6:54 I love that you don't tell him where he's at. He had to check his holding wood on his own, I love that. The subtle, little nuances that make a faller.
Hi buckin sure like your videosdown here in ontario i remember one time a woman wanted a tree down so i loaded up my gear and went to her place to cut it down and ya know it was the one and only tree i never had to put a notch in cause a beaver already done it for me went down perfect even a beaver new which way she was leaning happy cutting buckin and all the people out there who loves chain saws
Greetings Brother Buckin'...yes, those big deciduous trees present a different set of challenges to the typical big conifers...its all about the physics. Take care my friend, love to your family, WS
Side hill felling is something I didn’t know could be done. It just seems to me it wouldn’t work🤷 But obviously I was WAY wrong! Amazing teaching Billy! Thank you my friend ❤️🙏

Some r more fortunate than others! Anyway young Buckin has a good attitude which helps !
Lucky kid to have such a great mentor. He’ll look back on it fondly as he ages.
There’s no telling how many lives Buckin has saved as he teaches how to do side hill felling and spreads love at the same time. Bless you
I watch you at night to help me get excited for the trees I gotta cut on tomorrow. Thanks. Love
