- Defeating Pale Champion, a modded version of Pale Lurker created by Saleh / Hir Ngolwe to make the fight slightly more challenging. Instead of a brief fight for a simple key this is now a harrowing multi-phase fight filled with spikes, buzz saws, and aspids.
Music was done by Zaliant (music at • Pale Champion Theme ), custom animations by Mino, and custom art (such as the Pale Lurker statue in the Hall of Gods) by Mola. Well done to them all!
This is actually a pretty poor kill as once I hit the final phase I dodge really bad (stupid dash at 4:01). The spike platform in the final phase rises when you get hit to make it harder. But I manage to survive and it shows the fight adequately. Definitely worth going back at a later time to try and clean up the final phase for a potential radiant kill.
Lifeblood Core is really handy for this fight as there aren't many better options. Range charms are often a liability. You do have an opportunity to heal 2-4 masks before the final phase (2-3 before the platform collapses and one before the final spikes come up), so LBC itself may not be entirely useful if you can make it to the end with soul to heal.

So experience and general intelligence puts me in about the top 5% of any game i play.
I'm really good with physics so things like platforming are very very easy for me.

At this point I'm honestly just impressed with how determined this community is to torture itself.
I know right? I love Hollow Knight, one of the best games I've played in my 25 years of gaming, but this is just not fun. I'm too old for the Godmaster DLC. I don't have the time nor energy to take on these insane boss rushes. I barely got through the third Pantheon and I'm done, also I've noticed that the older I get the worse I get at video games, so there's that. I admire the people that get to 112%, I just can't. I'm fine with watching it on UA-cam. Waiting for Silksong.

GOGSMILKs I would would rather do the pantheon of hallownest than the path of pain. The path of pain only takes a few hours to beat but you can’t take any break in between the torture and then the fear of dying right at the end.

is anybody gonna talk about how this community made their own hollow knight music for a boss, they freaking made a boss with its own moves and own music, man this community is crazy
Playing Hollow Knight is like being served an amazing 3 star Michelin chef 5 course meal, only to be given a ginormous pine cone for dessert. You cannot leave the table until all of the pine cone is eaten, which is how many people feel leaving the game without getting all of the achievements.
It’s how I’m gonna feel by the end of my playthrough. I love the game, even though I’m pretty bad at it.

Honestly, I’m just here loving thru you masters of this game. I got as far as beating the Hollow Knight. I still haven’t been able to beat The Radiance and I’m taking a break. But this shit is other level.

That music was so good, also the concept of fighting a Pale Lurker when they were a champion of the colosseum is so cool. The fight looks insane, and them riding in on the Oblobble is hilarious, especially cause I thought it was just a spectator, which might’ve been funnier.

This feels like a battle where you can safely take jonis blessing, lifeblood core and unbrekeable heart considering you cant heal anyways lol
The fight would take a little longer without the nail and spell buff but that might just be worth losing, seen as you can't even hit him most of the time either.

Fun fact: Originally to get the second half of the white fragment was to fight in this boss fight but due to it being "Too Difficult" they replaced it with the entirety of white palace

Well, this is without the nuclear missile phase where you have to disarm the bomb inside the oblobble.
But seriously, I can understand that criticism. I had a good bit of fun with this as Pale Champion has a bunch of little things to trip you up that can wear you down before the end.
CrankyTemplar A lot of things just seemed completely unnecessary. Like, putting a row of spikes on top of the row of spikes, more sawblades than the White Palace, and riding an Obblelobble...
It all just seemed a little over the top.

The fact that the boss mainly uses the arena more than actual abilities is cool in a thematic way. Only problem is there's no opritunities to heal thus incentiveising jonis blessing or other lifeblood charms more.

Failed Champion is pretty easy with the right charm build. I use shaman stone, spell twister, and unbreakable strength. When he jumps towards you, dash under him, get a few hits off, and dash away. When he jumps away from you, get ready to jump over his slam attack. Then when he throws a hissy fit every few seconds, Just go in the corner. Boom. Failed champion.
May we just respect these yellow aspids? not so annoying like their orange versions
