I committed all these days ago and didn’t know why. Thanks to you now I know what caused it. You should feel good for your efforts. Now practice these tip tomorrow. Good job. I thank. You :jeff
This was really good! I especially liked the side-by-side of the filler wire being contaminated. I've seen my wire glow and sparkle like that before and I never knew what was causing it. Thank you!!! How did you film this by the way? I mean, what kind of darkening filter did you use? Your footage is some of the best I've seen on the internet. Well done.
My Everlast 250 EX is going on 13 years...still working great! Great video....always good to watch anything about tigging.....you can always learn something!
Hey mate I have just started using my tig welder...it's a cheap Chinese type 200 a dc...problem is it's acting like a plasma cutter way too aggressive...I feel the polarity is wrong...how do I fix this as it has the pin type and can't be swapped over
A tip when using .023 mig wire cut a good length off your roll the put one end in a vise the other end in a dril... pull tight on wire as you twist the wire with tenson on it.. pull on wire as you twist untill it brakes.. your wire is now straight and no more bending or flexing wire...
I think another similar approach that should work is to replace the drill with vice grips. Smack those pliers with a hammer to stretch the wire slightly. I've also used this technique to straighten tubing and it works like a champ.
Tips for tig welding some sch 10 304 ss pipe to mild steel flange, such as gas sheilding, & diameter filler wire! I do belive i read to use a 309l as filler but other than that im not exactly to sure! I've just registered for advanced welding classes but need to get my car back up & operating with a new turbo although i need to sawp exahaust manifolds since the stock set up is pathetic on the cruze with it's many flaws & i figured I'd be better off upgrading rather than spending close to 1k for a 12oz sized sack of turd! Please & TIA for any assistance!
Great video Mike!!! I was watching Bob on a video he did with Blue Demon stainless steel flux core mig wire. I was wondering if this would work on stainless steel like you did in this video? Can you try it on some stainless steel pipe and see if you don't need to back purge it? Thank again ManCub!!! Flame On!!!
Great tips.. love to see more tips on thin sheet metal ie fussion welding...and tip on spot weld thin sheet metal ie 20-22 gauge with tig welding simular to cold welding .
I think arc length is even more important than keeping your filler inside the gas shield. I think noobs pretty much *always* have too long an arc. (I sure did. Still do, I think!)
nothing like trying to tig when your stood on one foot, controlling the peddle with the other, bracing the part, and stooped down to your work bench. y'all make welders, do you make extra arms to? lol
Thank you, that was a good video. I will have to try the pulse feature again.
Love this guys videos! Keep em coming bro!

Dude that’s awesome I bought mine in 2014. Glad to hear it’s a good machine
Hell yes!
Man Cub RULES! Even when he fails.
This guy sounds like my son when he comes home stoned and pretends to act normal.
Lol
I thought he sounded like he was about to cry during some parts of this like he was rather unsure of himself and what he was saying.
Very good tips . The way you show the fillet wire being contamined without shielding gaz helps me a lot . It's obvious but it hadn't crossed my mind .
Q tal uno en Español sería grandioso gracias x compartir muchos Éxitos saludos desde Duitama Colombia

How much gas pressure do you use?
2x the lens size. So a number 6 is 12 cfh maybe a little higher is a good rule of thumb. Too high and it can wash the puddle or waste shielding gas.
thanks mate greeting from Indonesia 👍👍

Good idea
I needed this!!!!! Thx cub
Thanks man!!!!
I'm starting school soon and really nervous. More excited but nervous and worried
Don't be....it's fun. When other students are F*!%ing off, stay in your booth and weld weld weld. Enjoy school because the job is much more difficult.
