First time watching you. I have plans to make the Book club cardigan so that’s what made me watch. I also just got Sari Nordland book this week. The photography is so beautiful. What a great mom you have to gift you with all those books and yarn. Really enjoyed this podcast. Hello from Idaho.
Wow your Book Club cardigan is gorgeous! I wonder on the Raverly project pages if anyone stated how much yarn they used? You will know after an inch or so, weigh your ball, just like your Musselburgh. I personally hate yarn chicken, it’s way too stressful for me, so I order extra. The leftovers can be used for the boys hats, mittens, stripes in garments etc 😊Your mom nailed it with those gifts 🎁 Have a great week, happy Knitting.
You could finish the hat and decreases with the amount of yarn that you have (so the top of the hat looks neat) and if hat is too short you can cut 'out' the beginning of the hat, put live stitches on needle (similar to how afterthought sock heel is added to sock tube) and knit needed length in other direction with some light scrap yarn. The process would look like in this video ua-cam.com/video/QshcsuaBacU/v-deo.html but you would start closer to the current beginning of your hat. That way the scrap yarn would replace your beginning of the hat instead of the end portion :) Hope that helps.
Hey! I'm in Utah, too! Love seeing other people like me around here!
@@thehugheslife1230 oh yay!! Me too! I don’t know a lot of knitters from Utah!

I really like your shorter version of the Book Club Cardigan. In fact, I think I will knit myself your shorter version. I’m enjoying your podcast.

@@TRaceTK that is a good idea. I should weigh for an inch of knitting the button band. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that!!
Currently knitting the bookclub cardigan too. Your color is darling. It’s def hard on the hands and wrists so taking breaks too.
@@chebbiereadsandknits672 oof, I’m sorry you have to take breaks too! What color are you knitting yours in??
@ -Malabrigo Rios in Glazed Carrot. It’s a burnt orange color.
@ that will look so lovely!!
@ -Thanks! Your Mum is awesome. Such thoughtful gifts for a knitter.
A double knit button band takes a lot yarn 😬😬 I hope you have enough!! I would be nervous personally.
@@Izzabellaa oooh thank you

If it's too small for you, one of your boys will be able to use it
