When you were describing the Magnolia Bloom yarn, the cat was trying to figure out how to get the ball out from under the bookcase. It was so captivating that I had to rewind and watch that segment again to grasp what you were describing lolol. 😂😂😂
I am glad I found your podcast because I enjoy it, but I'm especially glad to find someone who loves holidays as much as I do! I wish we were friends ... But I live in PA and am about 100 years old, so I'll just keep watching and enjoying. 😊❤
Here's an idea: how about incorporating LED fairy lights into another iteration of the pattern? That is, actually knitting the fairy lights into the fabric at strategic points? I've never done it, but it's on my "Let's try this, why not?" list. 🙂
@@meeshyfrazzknits Not sure, as I've never done it, but the lights look very fine (delicate) and flexible (and not expensive), so I am definitely going to try it sometime.
Hilarious start to my listening experience today…kept hearing something and wondered who was playing ping pong for a minute then realized it was one of your cats playing with their toy! 😂😂❤
Love your sweater today! And I’m excited to knit your new Holiday Frost beanie. I’ve been thinking of making something for family members for St Nicholas Day and this will be the perfect pattern. And after doing a few projects on small needles with finer gauge yarns, my hands will thank you, too! Pattern purchased!
I really enjoy all the segments of your podcasts from the technical knitting issues and solutions to the book talk. If you're at all into magical regency romance then the baleful godmother series is definitely a recommendation. The first book, Unmasking Miss Appleby, is free on kindle.
Waiting for your holiday socks and cowl patterns with bated breath! So. Cute. As for the ACOTAR situation. I haven't read it. BUT my daughter has read it twice. She started A Throne of Glass and couldn't finish it because she said it was so different. However, she recommended I start with that because I LOVE high fantasy, and it has a lot more world building. More fantasy, less romance. Just something to keep in mind. Also, I do believe the author intended it to be read in the order written, even though it goes back and forth a bit. So sayeth my coworkers at B&N who have read both series. :) And yeah, I often feel like that after a series OR after a heavy book that I need to process. Sometimes a palate cleanser (for me - light, easy reading) or a break are required before I can dig into something else. :)
I read Throne of Glass and recommend you start with that one. I read the prequel you mentioned, Assassin’s Blade, after the second or third, and it fit in quite well. Definitely don’t read it first. I think it would almost spoil the first two. Enjoy!
I’m in the middle of the Throne of Glass series right now. I started with Assassin’s Blade then took a huge break. But I’d recommend that you read the Crescent City series first.
Hi there, I just found your podcast and it was great ! Could you please let me know the pattern on the scarf behind you, and do you have a video to go along with the pattern? Thank you!
Thanks so much! That is my Frost & Flurry shawl (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/frost--flurry-shawl). I designed this before I started this podcast, but I do chat about it a little here (around the 35 minute mark): ua-cam.com/video/zobWS5zPQAo/v-deo.html
Sounds like I'm in the minority, but I go for a toe-up sock every time :) Usually because I'm not sure I'll have enough yarn to knit full height socks. and my kids like to try it on (growing feet, sizes constantly changing) once I get the heel on.
I'm 100% with you on A Court of Silver Flames 😀 Jump into TOG and start with Throne of Glass book. Asassins blade is not really important for the story and I have to say, I love the books (not as much as ACOTAR and much more than Crescent City 😀) but I didn't really like Asassins Blade. ToG is really well woked out, Crescent City has so many plotholes, the romance doesnt work and the spicy things aren't spicy, there are more yuck 😅 (but to be fair- I LOVE Ruhn)

That's too funny, he's such a character! 😂
@@meeshyfrazzknitsit was so cute.
The soft pink sweater is beautiful on you!
Thank you!! I love it.

That would be so fun! I wonder how hard that would be to knit with...

I think the Magnolia Bloom looks stunning on you. I love the color.
Oh thank you!
@ you’re welcome!

Thanks so much! It's such a great, quick knit. 😊
I’m a serial re reader when I love a series so I tend to read to the end and then restart lol
Well that's an idea too! I do plan to reread this series at some point, for sure.

Oh I'll have to check that out, thanks for the recommendation!
Definitely read The Midnight Library. I enjoyed it.
Good to know, it's been added to my queue (again)!

Look out Cornelia Sweater and Cornelia Cardigan patterns from Sandnes Garn for your red yarn. In my plans already!!!❤
Oh those are beautiful! Thanks for the recommendation!
Can you share your lipstick color? It’s gorgeous!
Thank you! It’s Urban Decay Vice in the color No Parking.

That totally makes sense! I love toe-up socks, and especially love the shaping of the toe using increases instead of decreases.
