If you live on a busy street you will have to charge these every 7-9 days. Also sometimes the service goes down at random. I have had people deliver packages and it didn't even pick them up when it was facing directly in their direction . With that being said, It's nice to have as a back up but I encourage you to consider a home security service to serve as your primary security. I'm using a Arlo Pro 2 system with the latest firmware.
I love mine, here is a tip invest in one extra battery, that way you can switch out a weak battery for a fully charged one, also if you can keep them pulled into a power source you won't have to worry.
If you only get a month even on the highest setting something's wrong with the battery just my suggestion but maybe also take the sidewalk out of your field of view that way it's not always going off hopefully that helps save you some battery power
Why is it to get help for my Arlo I call the 877 number and that’s in Russia and they want to charge me to help me reset my cameras can anyone help me?
I have the Arlo Pro 2 but the cameras on the front of the house only have one bar of signal, this is ok except if I want to talk to someone, poor signal then and doesn’t work. Any ideas Can I get a stronger signal to them.

I like the Arlo, and have been pleased with the consistency of capturing motion. It never misses a beat, and connect with IFTTT, so we can have our Hue bulbs flash when motion is detected. I know people with Ring, and have been happy too.
@Gerard Ward, My outdoor camera(medium traffic) about every month and a half my indoor camera(high traffic) about once a month, I don't let them drop below 55% if I can, and I just swap out a battery and charge the old one, my other two cameras are plugged in full time
I have the Arlo Pro with 3 cameras. they're all hard wired after 2 years one battery is completely dead, another one stays at 1%, and the last one is still working but is about 30% at most the batteries don't last. be prepared to buy new batteries after 2 years. they're not cheap also Arlo support is only for one year and the Arlo forum is useless. everyone seems to have battery problems but nobody knows how to fix it. they just say take the batteries out and put them back, unplug your base, plug it back.....
When are the people at Arlo going to wake up and put the alarm on the OUTSIDE? Outdoor cameras, outdoor alarm. I wouldn't dare set this the alarm off indoors because of my dogs. My neighbors probably wouldn't hear it, and if they did they wouldn't do anything. None of them questioned gun fire at house.
I have had the arlo cameras but got rid of them and got blink cameras. I got a 4 pack and base station for about 235 bucks. I am on the first set of batteries and have had them up for about 9 months. I think arlo is way overpriced and they nickel and dime you for everything. They even charge you monthly if you want to block out areas that you don't want to detect motion. Just way too much money imo when there is other options that work very similar and are way less in price.

Its possible to add a outside Arlo bell and siren without subscription?
Do arlo record 24/7 with USB drive connected in the main hub? Or is it just recording clips that is detected by motion?
Just clips as it detects motion or sound.
It does record 24/7 if they are hard wired and you have usb drive plugged in, cloud storage is just motion activated clips
Also my base station lights are all 3 yellow with two of them blinking frequently?
I have a different ARLO app. It doesn’t look or have all the options you have. I have arlo pro. ?
I plan on putting a USB thumb drive in the back of the base station. Where do I go to set it up to automatically over write then full?
It's under the settings in the app itself. It's the settings for the base station, not the camera.

It needs charge about every 2-6 months depending on your settings. It has a standard usb charger.
What kind of wifi speed do you need to run Arlo smoothly?
I’m on 60 mb/sec and it works well. The camera wirelessly connects to the box, and the box uploads the videos to the cloud.

My motion sensors suck they dont record when i need them too i turned up the sensitivity
I got alerts even with the moving of the shade of the bushes. How I avoid that?
Turn down the sensitivity in the app.

Check with Arlo support, I’ve never had that issue.
@gwynne murkin, I had this problem and I added wifi extender, I got more bars, but I plan to get a better router soon, that should help

I ordered the Arlo Pro 2 days ago. Does anyone regret not getting the Arlo Pro2? Also, how often have you had to recharge the batteries?

@Gerard Ward, No and once they are synced that is it and you can change the battery without having to re-syncing the camera

There are refurbished cameras which work just fine for 79 bucks from amazon.
If wyze cam had a battery and optional solar panel it would be better than this

Buy these, not the Arlo classic. They have outdated sensing technology that causes them not to work right.

Arlo is dropping the free storage. No Grandfathering.
That's why I've switched to WYZE cameras and installed SD cards in them. I refuse to pay a monthly fee for these.
