Toyota really said "we're bringing Panoz back"
Have you seen a Panoz? That comment says you haven't and we're on the internet. Doesn't even remote look like that even if you were to squint real hard. Your saying a Toyota Camry looks like a Panoz because the GT3 from the front 90% Camry. And 153 people like the comment, that's wild.
@ExileXCross I bet you're fun at parties.

If they make it. Would be a shame if they don't, or if they make it €400,000.
I read a rumour this platform would lead to both a Toyota and Lexus road car.

Why can't there be a rule that they need to sell at least 10,000 of these Toyota/Lexus road cars before being eligible to run in the GT3 WEC class haha. Then they may actually make them semi attainable price wise, not some €400,000 poster car.
You're missing the point. GT3s are production race cars; they aren't road legal. It's a huge new market, which is why almost every marque suddenly offers one.
That’s how you see manufacturers leave the sport
GT3s are based on an actual road car. The GT4s are actually closer to the road car. The low production levels allow for manufacturers like McLaren, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, etc... to be able to compete. The BOP allows other manufacturers to be competitive in the sport. It is what makes the competition fun to watch.
@@pikestance8851 - in Toyota's case, they're developing both the road-going and racing versions at the same time.

Sounds like the old v8 group C cars. Incredible deep sound, better than any flat plane V8 in my opinion
NGL Toyota just made the most underrated naturally aspirated V8 GT3 racecar
It hasn’t even raced yet. How could it be underrated?
It seems to be turbocharged though (you can clearly hear the turbos spooling up at 0:21 and the blow off valves releasing the pressure a couple of seconds later) . Which is even more of an achievement given how good it sounds.
pretty sure the detuned version that people can buy will be a 4L twin-turbo V8 cuz they had been testing it for a long time and it's been a roller coaster w/ the development of this engine but we'll see what Lexus product this end up being, a RC/LC replacement or LFA replacement
This is not NA. Can hear that blow off valve.
This is a twin turbo V8. You can hear the turbos spooling and dumping into the wastegate several times.
That's the new twin turbo LFA, probably hybrid or the new hydrogen V8 engine by Yamaha and Toyota
Not hybrid for the race car (as with the NSX).
Beside, not even hydrogen considering how expensive it is - especially for a customer team.
Toyota never really said they were going to have a hybrid for their sports cars in the GR section. They will still use combustion so its more likely they will keep the gas engine for the GR GT3 Concept.
Super GT fans: "Wow that's quiet compared to the Prius V8 or Supra V8"
Except the Prius (the last, FR iteration) and Supra's V8 is basically that of the RC F.

@@eliasmaissour437that’s not the point. GT3 cars are supposed to be for professional racing series
@@chipattack912then watch f1
Whatever it is. Sounds like a race car!
The red Mclaren looks nice

Will it give a Street Version of this Car
From the leaked patent couple years ago, yes! But idk which car will coming from this..

This is straight AMG GT3 but with UR engine! Can't wait for full form of this car
Idk why not a lot of manufacturers are following the AMG body style with front engine layout. I think it's reminiscent of the old GT coupe style. A lot ot modern cars, even Corvette, went for the mid-rear engine spider which manufacturers like Ferrari and Mclaren have set the trends. These modern cars look to similar. I think the Mustang GT3 and the M4 GT3 are some of the few that stand out. AMR is consistent with their unique body style imo.
@@constipatedparker5879 Because mid-engined cars have a weight distribution (and with that handling) advantage that front- and rear-engined (as in the engine on or behind the rear axle. Mid engine means the engine behind the driver but in front of the rear axle.) cars just can't replicate no matter how much special aero, suspension and springs you put on the car. My guesstimate is that GT3 is the fastest class in which a front- and rear engine can work as any class that's faster exclusively has mid-engined cars.

The concept seems to have taken cues from chevo/dodge viper. Does the engine sound like a v8?
Well, Toyota has a similar-looking design back in the 60's (the 2000GT, which James Bond provided much of the car's popularity).
And yes, it's a twin-turbo V8.
No, they're benchmarking the AMG GT3 and trying to build a better car.

It's a turbo V8 for sure but which engine they would use tho, from the sounds of it i think they kinda use the 4.0 AMG V8, or they could be developing a new turbo V8 based on the UR lines of engine
Fun fact : the AMG GT3 does not use the same engine as it's road car counterpart, it instead use the old M159 6.2 V8 that were also used in the SLS GT3
1) Lexus will never use a German engine.
2) It's an entirely new engine. TT V8 with an electric motor. Output is estimated to be 900-950 HP
@@yousef.al-assaf that output number is the figure for the road car, coz GT3 will have restrictors and such
@@yousef.al-assaf on your first point there, we will never know exactly until they reveal their car, remember toyota are using a german engine in their supra currently
@WildShotZ14
That's correct, I am talking about the patented road legal version. The leaks that we have so far are only about the road legal "LFR".
And Toyota might be the parent company of Lexus, but they don't share the same rules. Lexus will never use an engine that's not developed/co-developed by them. Toyota might, but not Lexus.

well Lexus is owned by Toyota, the car will most likely be using a lexus badge, but similiar to the RC F GT3 before, it is developed by Toyota's racing department
@Robintalesfighter
GR and TRD are two separate divisions. Lexus Racing only takes the top engineers from both of these teams.
Looks heavy. Looks like they’re copying Mercedes (a mix between the AMG GT, SLR and SLS), disappointing.
Why can’t Lexus get it right? ISF… flop. LFA… mega flop (still a great car but still a flop). RCF… 🤣 do I even need to say. They need to get someone who actually knows what they’re doing.
I can already see the production specs… weighs more than the outgoing RCF… slower than the M4… more expensive than a base 911.
You sound like a pissed off hater knowing deep down this car will break records.
The LFA GT3 won most of its races. The RC F is dominating GT3 now. How is Lexus messing up?
And this car is anything but an AMG; not the chassis and not the engine.
Having a long-hood design has been out there for ages now.
BMW can only wish of producing such a car.
@@yousef.al-assaf not a hater. I just really think Lexus could do so much better. And this car is basically a reskinned AMG GT, Toyoda bought a AMG GT race team and used what they learned to develop this car.
This will be Lexus’ equivalent to the SLS. We can only hope Lexus/Toyota uses this platform just like how Mercedes did with the SLS. Mercedes used the SLS platform for the AMG GT and Aston Martin Vantage. Toyota/Lexus should also use this platform to make a RC/LC replacement, also make a in-house Supra and Celica.
@godzilla8568
They didn't copy the AMG GT, they developed their own long-hood mid-engine GT3 and used the AMG GT to bench it. Why? The AMG GT is simply the best at it right now. They got it to compare numbers and tweak the "LFR" till it outperforms the AMG GT. Lexus had the LFA when the SLS was out there, nobody copied from the other. The Viper was the king of long-hood GT3 before that. Toyota also had its fair share of long-hood race cars in the 80s and 70s. AMG GT is simply the benchmark. Aston Martin also use it to benchmark the Vintage.
@godzilla8568
A road-legal version is definitely coming. Leaks says it will be hybrid and have 900-950 HP. A detuned version of its engine will be used possibly for the upcoming IS F. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I am expecting a lot in the next 3 years from Lexus, as things are looking good for them.
@@yousef.al-assaf they did copy the AMG GT, just like how Toyota copied multiple manufacturers to build the 2000GT it’s not a bad thing, just frowned upon.
