I actually jumped the first time one got me and after that I'd say I'd prefer the krill over those orbs any day
A quick update: I'm playing in late 2022, and it looks like the "safe point" candles have been fixed so that they are no longer safe points. So now the only safe points look to be the clusters of three candles and checkpoints. Other than that, most everything in this guide appears to still be accurate. Also, thank you for the guide, because even with it this took me almost three hours. So glad I'm finally finished.
this made it like a million times harder, i can’t get past the checkpoint by the hallway on the third floor even after like an hour😭😭

When I first played this trial, a stranger player came to join me and they led me through until the end, leaving me doing nothing but holding their hand. I am so grateful for that person, because of them I got the Wisdom of Courage just a few minutes after starting the trial. They said they were from Japan, but I didn't get to know their name because the candle burnt out while we were chatting.

Great job, TGC. You managed to make a usually very relaxing game straight up infuriating with the wind and fire trials.
And it's made even worse by the fact I'll have to do them all again for the winged lights after every Eden run.

Frfr. It was confusing asf. It was so suspicious that it was easy in the beginning
I FINALLY finished this today. Tip: Have two friends with you. When I did this solo, I was stuck midway the third level but I brought two friends along and HOLY HELL it was so much easier. It was a piggyback + hand holding thing and all of us were holding candles. Our fire didn’t extinguished once EVEN when those worm things passed by or got near us. We basically breezed through the whole thing in less than 10 mins.
Is there a place in the Sky Dischord where you can send friend requests for this type of thing?
Lil tip: do a deep call if your having trouble finding candles! It helps a lot :)

It was horrible the first time I tried it. It took me probably almost an hour to try and finish the first trial, let alone this monstrosity. I ended up creating a new account and I'm forced to redo all the trials because I need the hearts

Originally when I read this comment I thought that you were talking about the one in the cave.
Coming back to this about an hour after finding the two candle cakes at the end of this trial and I now realize.
Edit: Apparently there's four, but my camera angle made it look like two.
One year ago I quit playing this game precisely because of this Trial. I can't even describe how much anxiety this Trial gave me. And that music... I turned it off but it was still inside my head 🤕
So one year later (yesterday) I accidentally entered this game, and I decided to check it out. Turned out I was still in that damn black cave. So I've decided NOW or NEVER. And so, today, I finally went through it to the end! I feel like I was squeezed out, but I'm so proud of the level of my perseverance. And yes, I think this Trial is more about HOPE, than BRAVERY. I felt it so deep, rolling from anger to sadness to finally hope - powerful experience!

Gotta be honest, after 3 painful hours of fire trial I expected a little more than just a hug from the Prophecy Guide… the hug was needed tho after meeting those monsters🙃

🤣 THIS. At the end, I was like “so do I get a sweet mask, or some kind of magical fire power, or…oh…just a hug? Ok, thanks I guess.”
Shoutout to the 2 veterans who helped me in this trial today. I really didnt want to go alone and i saw two people flying tiwards where i headed and i asked them to lit me up and saw that they were wearing rly cool outfits so they must have been veterans. They were good friends i think. They had the friendship thing where you can piggybag each other. I felt bad that i was following them because I didnt have a clue on what i was doing (I hadn't watch this video yet). I thought just like krills they would spot you and attack .. turns out i was just in their way.I just tagged along with the two veterans but I kept dying and eventually got lost.. i honk just to see where they were and it shows that they were pretty far ahead. But they came back for me multiples times i felt so embarrassed and thankful for them. Whoever you are. Youre a real one

I ended up tagging along with a random veteran the first time I tried it. They disappeared on like, level 2 or 3 so I just left 😭 managed to complete it much later tho so yay

It feels like there are no safe spots on the third level for me. Doesn't matter how careful I am, doesn't matter if I watch the enemies to time it right, they always find me. I'm not sure if they just patched the hell out of it to make it a brickable level, but I can't beat it. It's like the enemies just go straight for me, they don't even take the proper time to complete their pathing. No matter what I do, I can't get past the 3rd level. I've been trying to beat it for several hours now, all the other trials took me maybe 10 minutes a piece.
This is just obnoxiously tedious and difficult for literally no reason at all. This will be the one light spirit I skip on every playthrough, absolute worst part of the game. Whoever designed these trials needs to be arrested.

Same. The safe spots are gone now and I think the amount of time it takes for your flame to fill up is longer. I had to do the trial today to get the WL shrine and was so mad. It took 30 minutes, that’s *ridiculous*

After like an hour of trying I give up, i get its meamt to be a challenge but this is near impossible. Im stuck on the 2nd checkpoint on the last level, ive teied every method and im still stuck because 4 worms come at the same time seriously who thought rhis was a good idea

my advice is definitely do this with a friend, it made it so much easier when i couldn't find a candle but they could and vice versa (and also u have a reason not to rage quit)
I tried that with the 2 levels before, it was very motivating and i recommend at least making an acquaintance can help :)

As a moth I completed this trial first try because it uses classic maze rule almost every game has: “right is never right, go left until you can’t go left and you’re forced to go right.”
This rule works everytime if you use it correctly, of course. Remember not to follow your previous trail that led to the checkpoint and you’ll be good.

Hi guys!! I’m playing in 2023
after the patches trial of fire may seem unplayable and I thought about giving up BUT I think what they mean by “this is the trial of bravery” is that you have to go head first when it seems impossible to pass. I just started running from a candle to candle, I died many many many times and I really thought I should just quit and just not finish this trial but I pushed through and suddenly was by the final checkpoint with a great reward at the end (I will not spoil)

Ps. right now there is a message planted before you go into the trial and it says you should stick to the left and that is completely true!! I love whoever planted it💞💞 it is easier when you go to the left and at some point you just gotta blindly run to the left

This trial is like a boulder on my shoulders, and instead of me needing to try harder to drop the boulder at where it needs to be, my patience couldn't handle it, and in the end the outcome of this is me dropping it halfway. TONS OF FUN!😀

Tip: Have a friend do max honk as often as possible and tell them when to stop. The honk in sky works as echolocation. I had my friend do it and i passed the trial in almost half the time than when i first went in there. It helps you see the candles in the dark! Have more fun in fire trial now! 😊♥
I have been trying for like 2 hours to finish this. I am more then out of patience, almost threw my switch away twice now and I honestly feel like crying and I felt soooooo stupid. This was such a big help not to lose my mind, thank you

Air took me 6 hours to finish, im not even joking
I’m just now doing this on PlayStation, and had a random companion help me along the way. Even when I was stuck for a significant amount of time they let me know they were still waiting for me at the next checkpoint. The help in this game is something special.

tip : fire trials can be reli hard if the others already lighted the candles for you. because when every candle is lighted it looks more like a maze than a trial :)))

One thing I noticed! If the non-checkpoint candle has a large ball of light at its base, it’s a safe place from the squirmmels!! I stood at one to test and had 7 passes and I’m fine :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I never got past the 2nd phase. I wouldn’t have thought to deep call to see the squirmles-I assumed they were just terrifying boiler plates of fire and didn’t have an actual body, and I could not for the life of me make sense of the space I was in or the route they were taking. Bless you

Glowing red eyes in the dark is literally the biggest fear I have carried since I was 5 years old dealing with recurring nightmares of something similar to this trial, so the fact that you're spending the whole video calling the monsters those silly worm things and making light of the atmosphere helps so much. I feel like I might actually be able to take on the challenge again tomorrow. ❤

the game likes to spawn others into the area while I'm doing it and before I know it all the candles have been lit and I cant see where I haven't been TmT
I have been playing Sky since it was released on Switch 2.5 years ago and today was the first time I managed to complete this trial (not for a lack of trying). What made it even sweeter was that it was my 200th winged light. Thank you for this amazing guide because I could not have done it without it!

Thank you for this walkthrough. I watch almost everytime I go through the fire trial, just for the maps. I have, however died in a couple of unusual spots, both at the end: I was too slow lighting the big candle cake once, and have died at least once because I wasn't sitting in the middle of the light circle in front of the lion statue.
this is more than rage inducing, i can’t see a single candle on my screen (as in the next one) just pure darkness. i have my brightness to the max turn off all the lights in my room and have the max graphics but all i can do i jump back n forth from the lit candle n spam the fire icon once i see it n pray that i don’t die before that
i followed your guide down to cautiously calculating the angles of where you go so i can follow, counting how many candles before a turn and i still can’t get through without dying to the stupid worms because i have to look very carefully before i go or else i’ll get lost but they get to me every time before i even know where i’m supposed to go like what more do i have to do?????????
Same here, drives me nuts! Even a bunch of weed can't keep me calm now. Even looked at cheat/shortcut videos, but that will probably make my headache grow even larger.
Just letting you know that if it wasn't for your map I would have never been able to finish the third level. I was completely stuck on the second checkpoint

I was playing this trial since 3 days. And I had to keep going there only to start where I left off and was scared to loose progress. I couldn’t visit any realm for a change. To all that frustration, all candles also get turned off 😢 everytime I came back.

There's nothing "brave" about this trial. There's no timing cues or defined edge of the smoke monsters that reset you from a metre above you. It's just dumb luck. I'm not finishing this season because this trial is impossible and a waste of time.
yeah that's what i thought too like. i didn't even check to see where they were i just kept running on one line of candles until i either died and started over or got to a checkpoint

I cannot thank you enough for this! The maps were a lifesaver! I didn't actually know the firey dudes were creatures, I thought they were just fireballs. I've been trying to do this trial for months and i just kept getting so confused and lost that I would give up. Thank you so much!
i didnt finish it, no safe spots on the 3rd part at all, didnt even any three candles where i can take a break. the worms CHASES me. it does not go around, if it notices me, usually when i deep call, they will literally go towards me, i cant evade them at all. this is the worst trial so far as someone who usually plays solo. i hope whoever designed that trial will bump their pinky toes

In the 3th level, none of the safe spot worked. I think they changed some of it because I didn't play it when it first updated, and now I'm stuck forever at the 3th level checkpoint. Can someone help me get pass it?

little tip, you can use your call to illuminate your area briefly and s see the general outlines of things like echolocation

i WOULDVE had the patience cos im extremely ocd ;-; (it kinda sucks cos i wanna complete literally EVERYTHING but some things are IMPOSSIBLE to get (like anubis mask RIP coulda been my face))
