It's got to the point where you can guess in advance which cosmetics will be in the store and which won't. This company has become far too predictable. The events are increasingly lame and similar, people only play to collect candles and no longer have time to enjoy the game. Playing this game has become a daily ordeal. Even the only friend I used to play with stopped playing the game because of all of that. For a game that's all about socializing and meeting people, it's just sad.
Remember with the season pass items, they will return as traveling spirits with them being as candles and hearts, with the exception of ultimates. For situations like this, I ask myself "Is it worth it," and "Will I be able to wait for a few years to get this item." I use something I call the "FUBI" system, which asks a series of questions, that you can use when getting the item. FUBI is an acronym for the four categories an item can fall into 1. Most important question: Can I afford to get this without ruining IRL stuff? 2Will this have regular usage? 3. Will I be patient enough with this not returning for a long time if at all? 4. Would this be nice to have? 5. Would I remember this item and still consider it special in 3-4 years? (For TS reasons) FUBI categories based on answers *Focus:* Congrats all the questions have a yes to them. you can see it being used regularly, or at least semi regularly, you are patient enough even if you don't get it instantly, and it's nice to have. You'll also still use it in 3-4 years. YAAAYYYY *Unsure:* Well a majority of these answers (or at least question 1) you don't know yet. That's okay. Think further on your decision and ask them again later on. If you're still unsure even after a certain amount of time, maybe consider it as a bonus or ignore item. Bonus: Well it's nice to have, but you don't see it being used regularly, or maybe everything else is a big yes, but you wouldn't be able afford getting it without IRL stuff potentially being screwed up in the process.You might have even been like "I'm still unsure on some things." That's okay. If you do end up somehow getting it that's wonderful. Consider it bonus points. Ignore: Well all of these questions are unsure or a no, even after a certain amount of time has passed. maybe it's just best to skip this item. Even if your other friends really want this, it's okay to agree to disagree. They found what was worthy to them, and that item for you just wasn't it. The opposite will happen too, where you find an item that your friends don't like but you love it oh so much. You don't have to get everything and that is okay.
TGC turning all the free items into furtinure is a dirty move. They KNOW we want cosmetics we can wear cause its the only thing we can use and enjoy while playing (i mean, farming)... so they clutter the free2play items with useless decorations, to force us to pay to get the clothes. Everyday im more and more fed up with this game... cant wait for the straw that breaks the camel back finally arrives, and i just quit it definitively, cause man, they are testing my patience...

Some of the accessories this season are quite cute! Tbh in the ‘FTP’ category, my favourite items are probably Ninny’s bell, and the green cape! ❤️❤️ But if you’re feeling this stressed about the game, remember you can always take a break! It’s just a game, and you can always log off! 🫶
The way I see it, I totally won't be missing out on anything if I just skip the season. Never watched Moomin in the first place so I don't even have a connection to it
When they introduced furniture, I thought that new ones will be added to the furniture shop in Aviary. What's a furniture shop good for, if you just put all new stuff into the temporary season spirit trees. Also, just like everyone, the outfit sets being split up is dumb. The good stuff being either pass or straight up iap is stupid. On the other hand, I'm not that mad, personally. I can use this season to farm candles and spend them on the returning rotational events ("days of").
Really glad I’m seeing more people speak out against tgc because this has been happening for YEARS, and i was so tired to people defending this company, stop babying this corporation, no matter how funny or good the employees act, remember that Tgc is NOT your friend, I remember years ago if you tried to call out tgc on their egregious prices people would jump you at the throat. I know a bunch of people do like the decorative aspect of furniture but tgc making it most of it the free stuff it’s just SCUMMY, because they know we want cosmetics, this sucks for all aspects because this is just souring my view on nesting. I remember I said in the disc that a poster as an ULT felt underwhelming, and that it would make more sense for the violin to be an ULT, and people jumped me in an instant, I get that there are f2p, but you all have to remember you are buying the pass, because the ults are the main appeal, I don’t think the paywalled seasonal cosmetics should be your reason to buy the pass, those are supposed to be a plus because they back, but now it seems that tgc is doing the opposite
Its their only way to earn money so i cant really blame them tbh. Cosmetics arent necesssary to enjoy this game, none of the thing doesent effect your gameplay experience (except camp fire, and you can still buy it as spell) And even though some of them are season pass items, you can wait for 1 year and they come as spirits, u just cant get the ultimate gift thats it. The reason why these are iap is because its collab items, they cant give them for free. But i also think they shouldnt be THAT MUCH PRICY, its very hard to buy them when all iap's cost like 20$ each. If they were just 5-10$ i would be totally fine with it, but this is very pricy :

@@Yumusak_G While I understand that iaps are the main way the game makes it running costs, I think there’s a clear difference between them having to have in-game purchases to keep servers running, to visibly predatory and greedy business practices, the collab iaps are to be expected, but in the past years there has been a notable increase in prices that’s becoming too much for in-game cosmetics It’s gonna sound very rude, but collab iaps feed into the FOMO, which is normal for a live service game, but with the higher prices I find this predatory (not taking in account currency exchange which that’s another whole issue) One of my main issues is that after season of nesting, there has been a clear dis-balance on seasonal items, it’s noticeable that furniture has been put more on the free side, whereas most cosmetics are paid, I think that’s something that has been giving me a bit of a eyebrow raise, with other tactics such as putting matching cosmetics on different season tiers (free/paid), tgc is actively using tactics to make you get the season pass, which, I don’t think it would be a problem if they hadn’t done so many questionable things in the past. While I do agree, that, the seasonal spirits will come back after a year, I personally consider this season has clearly changed the design philosophy of the pass, in my eyes, they are prioritizing the pass cosmetics for appeal (and that equals to pass sales), and I think that’s something that doesn’t sit right with me I will admit that I do have a bit of a biased perspective, since I don’t have that much attachment with the moomin franchise, but it still doesn’t sit right with me that tgc has become visibly more predatory and shameless with their business practices

@@isabellascafe4648 i have an insane attachment to moomin as it is an integral part of my culture and i also used to play this game like it was my life's purpose, and i'm so happy someone else is noticing this. them removing helpful glitches like the home trick or instrument trick just to make us use our already limited currencies on the stupid krill spells, them making traveling spirits + pretty much monthly events + SEASONAL ITEMS cost hundreds of white candles and them making everything actually good-looking IAP is just insane greed and whenever I've spoken up I get hit with the basic capitalism bootlicking and "they're doing the best they can!!". so refreshing to see someone else who actually notices what's going on. this game used to be centered around being social and exploring the beautiful world with the candle grind, but it wasn't too bad. you could save your candles for the traveling spirits if you even needed to pick them up, and you could get everything you wanted from a season without spending your white candles on anything. the FOMO and grind wasn't as bad, while the IAPs were still ridiculously priced. i noticed this change after the treehouse season in the forest, suddenly the grind WAS the game. and then they made it harder (krill) and almost punished people for afking while being ubered... man this game fell off
This is it, I'm using this Season as an excuse to take a break from the game until the magic comes back. Lame seasons since Revival, no spirits but mannequins, and most cool cosmetics are very expensive IAPs. They are ruining this game
Pretty much, yeah. I took 2 very long breaks with sky and missed shattering and Aurora season... Which I'm very sad for, but I think sometimes it's necessary because they take the entire economy way too far

wow! the distribution between whats an IAP and not is actually kind of baffling- talk about giving the slimmest of pickings even for the pass holders! I severely dislike the weird split up of cosmetics as well, only part of snuffkins outfit but the rest behind IAP? the invisible childs cape being IAP? the moomin tail and ears??? come on, if they were going to split up so much of this stuff into IAPS they should've thought out the cosmetic sets better, because having some be apart of the pass and then the REST as their own separate IAP is ugh. Make sure to give feedback in the sky discord guys, otherwise this is going to be a very disappointing season.

@@jiraiyuno You can get hearts by unlocking them at a spirit! Most spirits offer 1 heart in exchange for 3 candles. Seasonal spirits spirits with a series of quests will usually have more of these hearts. You can also give friends heart or receive hearts from them. You have to unlock this option in the friendship tree and you can send someone 1 heart a day. By sending friends their daily light their heart slowly gets filled up too. In most cases you will always have to spend 3 candles for 1 heart.
I’d be sure to get Ninny’s bell and the green cape!! They’re two of my favourite ftp items this season! But I do totally get where you’re coming from 🥺❤️❤️
Feels like furniture is now a cheap way for them to fill out a pass. I doubt they'll ever put them as an IAP as a comparison because they know in terms of worth fashion/props are what people want most. I do get they are a business and need revenue from somewhere, but no doubt they have the Moomin company looking over their shoulder for this as well. I won't be surprised if everything is pricy as a result.
The whole Snufkin fit (except hair and cape) is IAP 😭 bet the scarf will be 4.99 and Outfit + Hat 20.99, we can only hope that it's a bundle but i doubt it

furniture is so useless!... if we could at least use an unlimitless number of furniture in our nests, maybe it would be more enjoyable, but as it is right now, its impossible to decorate properly and make a cozy nest
i would love the ears and tail, why do they make everything thats actually unique an in app purchase? Why not just make it a part of the ALREADY PAYED SEASON PASS? I will tell you why, its because they want you to spend money on both... Why cant they just make everything cost ingame currency instead of irl money and just have the currency in the iap shop? And make it so there is a higher cap on how many candles you can get per day or at least some reliable ways of consistently getting candles without having to grind for hours each day... You know, at this point, it would just make the game way more enjoyable if there was no currency at all and you just had to collect materials around the realms and craft the items yourself, it would give people a reason to explore for rare resources and it would make the game interesting and fun again as you go around exploring and collecting, maybe even finding rare cosmetics hidden around the world, behind puzzles etc. just to give you more stuff to do then just run around collecting light

It's been downhills since Season of Revival. Now we get mannequins, rugs, wallpapers, little cool cosmectics are expensive IAPs, and the game lost it's magic. I miss older seasons and how creative yet simpler they were. Funny enough they had better cosmetics and 0 mannequins.

its not out of their hands, they can choose not to do the collab. they could make better deals. they dont, because this is what makes them the most money. it is not productive to treat them like helpless damsels with no say in their own business decisions, come on.
It being a collab doesn't explain why 90% of their regular event cosmetics are just as highly overpriced IAP. Just have a look at Days of Mischief and Days of Color. What's TGC's excuse behind all that? They can't hide behind "it's a collab" as an excuse for their own events. The few IGC items they release with events anymore are cheesy and not worth it, and when they come backthe next year for candle prices, they absolutely price-gouge so that moths or people who missed the first release either have to spend hours and days of their life grinding or feel compelled to give TGC even more money to buy candles (dark rainbow cape and sunlight towel capes anyone?). It's just greed, plain and simple. TGC uses Sky as nothing but a profit opportunity now rather than fostering a fun, relaxing game and caring community like they used to. All Sky is now is a stressful, FOMO-induced grind obligation.
everything has been paywalled since the treehouse season but this is like next level... i miss sanctuary and enchantment and when tgc wasn't insanely moneyhungry
The only things worth getting are the chameleon skin and the umbrella, all the other stuff is either ugly or useless. Not to mention there's no ultimate gift.

When they introduced furniture, I thought that new ones will be added to the furniture shop in Aviary. What's a furniture shop good for, if you just put all new stuff into the temporary season spirit trees.
Also, just like everyone, the outfit sets being split up is dumb. The good stuff being either pass or straight up iap is stupid.
On the other hand, I'm not that mad, personally. I can use this season to farm candles and spend them on the returning rotational events ("days of").
That’s crazy how they put the green cape as a free item and the only fitting outfit (green pants) as IAP 🤦♀️ the manipulation is so obvious here.

Really glad I’m seeing more people speak out against tgc because this has been happening for YEARS, and i was so tired to people defending this company, stop babying this corporation, no matter how funny or good the employees act, remember that Tgc is NOT your friend, I remember years ago if you tried to call out tgc on their egregious prices people would jump you at the throat. I know a bunch of people do like the decorative aspect of furniture but tgc making it most of it the free stuff it’s just SCUMMY, because they know we want cosmetics, this sucks for all aspects because this is just souring my view on nesting.
I remember I said in the disc that a poster as an ULT felt underwhelming, and that it would make more sense for the violin to be an ULT, and people jumped me in an instant, I get that there are f2p, but you all have to remember you are buying the pass, because the ults are the main appeal, I don’t think the paywalled seasonal cosmetics should be your reason to buy the pass, those are supposed to be a plus because they back, but now it seems that tgc is doing the opposite
Its their only way to earn money so i cant really blame them tbh. Cosmetics arent necesssary to enjoy this game, none of the thing doesent effect your gameplay experience (except camp fire, and you can still buy it as spell) And even though some of them are season pass items, you can wait for 1 year and they come as spirits, u just cant get the ultimate gift thats it.
The reason why these are iap is because its collab items, they cant give them for free.
But i also think they shouldnt be THAT MUCH PRICY, its very hard to buy them when all iap's cost like 20$ each. If they were just 5-10$ i would be totally fine with it, but this is very pricy :
And to be honest cosmetics arent even my first problem anymore, the bugs in this game are insane. I just wanna play this game happily but its so buggy and they dont care the problems most of the time. Its my biggest reason to stop playing it, i cant have fun with my friends if it crashes every second
@@Yumusak_G While I understand that iaps are the main way the game makes it running costs, I think there’s a clear difference between them having to have in-game purchases to keep servers running, to visibly predatory and greedy business practices, the collab iaps are to be expected, but in the past years there has been a notable increase in prices that’s becoming too much for in-game cosmetics
It’s gonna sound very rude, but collab iaps feed into the FOMO, which is normal for a live service game, but with the higher prices I find this predatory (not taking in account currency exchange which that’s another whole issue)
One of my main issues is that after season of nesting, there has been a clear dis-balance on seasonal items, it’s noticeable that furniture has been put more on the free side, whereas most cosmetics are paid, I think that’s something that has been giving me a bit of a eyebrow raise, with other tactics such as putting matching cosmetics on different season tiers (free/paid), tgc is actively using tactics to make you get the season pass, which, I don’t think it would be a problem if they hadn’t done so many questionable things in the past.
While I do agree, that, the seasonal spirits will come back after a year, I personally consider this season has clearly changed the design philosophy of the pass, in my eyes, they are prioritizing the pass cosmetics for appeal (and that equals to pass sales), and I think that’s something that doesn’t sit right with me
I will admit that I do have a bit of a biased perspective, since I don’t have that much attachment with the moomin franchise, but it still doesn’t sit right with me that tgc has become visibly more predatory and shameless with their business practices

I mean f2p still have a chance to get things in the spirits afterwards so it is very nice way to do it, if u ask me. They will of course want players to spend money, thats how every game company earn money afterall, they have to make you spend money to keep this game and keep earning money, its nothing new.
But i agree with all those season of moomins's crazy amount of iap problem. Even pass doesent give anything good, you just need to spend more and more to get something in it. I really dont like this season because of that.
I actually didnt even played the game at all after season of nine colored deer tho. My biggest problem isnt even cosmetics anymore like i said, i really just want this game to be playable like before. It lags so much (it didnt happened ever before) and there are so many server errors happening while playing it. The cosmetics are just the extra part of this game, but bugs are very important and they never look for that, they are only making new cosmetics and stuffs while we have a ton of bugs that makes this game unplayable. I used to play this game every day for hours with no problem but now i cant do it. I honestly just want the game how it was before Aviary season because before that it wasnt that buggy.
@@isabellascafe4648 i have an insane attachment to moomin as it is an integral part of my culture and i also used to play this game like it was my life's purpose, and i'm so happy someone else is noticing this. them removing helpful glitches like the home trick or instrument trick just to make us use our already limited currencies on the stupid krill spells, them making traveling spirits + pretty much monthly events + SEASONAL ITEMS cost hundreds of white candles and them making everything actually good-looking IAP is just insane greed and whenever I've spoken up I get hit with the basic capitalism bootlicking and "they're doing the best they can!!". so refreshing to see someone else who actually notices what's going on.
this game used to be centered around being social and exploring the beautiful world with the candle grind, but it wasn't too bad. you could save your candles for the traveling spirits if you even needed to pick them up, and you could get everything you wanted from a season without spending your white candles on anything. the FOMO and grind wasn't as bad, while the IAPs were still ridiculously priced. i noticed this change after the treehouse season in the forest, suddenly the grind WAS the game. and then they made it harder (krill) and almost punished people for afking while being ubered... man this game fell off
This is it, I'm using this Season as an excuse to take a break from the game until the magic comes back. Lame seasons since Revival, no spirits but mannequins, and most cool cosmetics are very expensive IAPs. They are ruining this game
Pretty much, yeah. I took 2 very long breaks with sky and missed shattering and Aurora season... Which I'm very sad for, but I think sometimes it's necessary because they take the entire economy way too far

wow! the distribution between whats an IAP and not is actually kind of baffling- talk about giving the slimmest of pickings even for the pass holders! I severely dislike the weird split up of cosmetics as well, only part of snuffkins outfit but the rest behind IAP? the invisible childs cape being IAP? the moomin tail and ears??? come on, if they were going to split up so much of this stuff into IAPS they should've thought out the cosmetic sets better, because having some be apart of the pass and then the REST as their own separate IAP is ugh. Make sure to give feedback in the sky discord guys, otherwise this is going to be a very disappointing season.

Unfortunately a lot of this is out of TGC’s control, and is the decision of the IP holder (in this case Moomin). It’s likely they decided to have their most iconic characters as IAPs, and tgc can’t change that ❤️🫶

@@jiraiyuno You can get hearts by unlocking them at a spirit! Most spirits offer 1 heart in exchange for 3 candles. Seasonal spirits spirits with a series of quests will usually have more of these hearts. You can also give friends heart or receive hearts from them. You have to unlock this option in the friendship tree and you can send someone 1 heart a day. By sending friends their daily light their heart slowly gets filled up too.
In most cases you will always have to spend 3 candles for 1 heart.
2-3 iaps was enough in a collab season....but This MUCH!!!god Dayum tgc🗿

Feels like furniture is now a cheap way for them to fill out a pass. I doubt they'll ever put them as an IAP as a comparison because they know in terms of worth fashion/props are what people want most.
I do get they are a business and need revenue from somewhere, but no doubt they have the Moomin company looking over their shoulder for this as well. I won't be surprised if everything is pricy as a result.
The whole Snufkin fit (except hair and cape) is IAP 😭 bet the scarf will be 4.99 and Outfit + Hat 20.99, we can only hope that it's a bundle but i doubt it

furniture is so useless!... if we could at least use an unlimitless number of furniture in our nests, maybe it would be more enjoyable, but as it is right now, its impossible to decorate properly and make a cozy nest
i would love the ears and tail, why do they make everything thats actually unique an in app purchase? Why not just make it a part of the ALREADY PAYED SEASON PASS? I will tell you why, its because they want you to spend money on both...
Why cant they just make everything cost ingame currency instead of irl money and just have the currency in the iap shop? And make it so there is a higher cap on how many candles you can get per day or at least some reliable ways of consistently getting candles without having to grind for hours each day...
You know, at this point, it would just make the game way more enjoyable if there was no currency at all and you just had to collect materials around the realms and craft the items yourself, it would give people a reason to explore for rare resources and it would make the game interesting and fun again as you go around exploring and collecting, maybe even finding rare cosmetics hidden around the world, behind puzzles etc. just to give you more stuff to do then just run around collecting light
they got greedy unfortunately, especially easy to tell after the days of sunlight with the cape pricings..

It's been downhills since Season of Revival. Now we get mannequins, rugs, wallpapers, little cool cosmectics are expensive IAPs, and the game lost it's magic. I miss older seasons and how creative yet simpler they were. Funny enough they had better cosmetics and 0 mannequins.
I just started playing the game when I learned they’re collabing with moomin, so excited to get everything!

This season have kinda small amount of free items. It's starting to feels like this game was made only for those who ready to spend all money on each pass to have at least a little bit of a good stuff in game to have fun with. There is like...I think more than half of stuff IAP or Pass. I dunno, it's saddening. On one part TGC need money to develop game and money on life....on another hand it's kinda too expensive? Plus this thing with ultimate gifts. I still feel confused of why TGC made a poster of Duets a pass thing. Like... it's a thing that telling peoples that some person was at this season exactly... it's like a for memory stuff. Exclusive...Why making it's exclusive twice by pass?

To my knowledge, the IP holder (in this case, Moomin, have a very large say in what is IAP / Pass / Free. This was the same with Season of the Little Prince! 🫶
So Moomin might want their most iconic characters to be IAP (the Snuffkin set, for example!) TGC likely cannot change that, as it’s part of their deal together! ❤️
I know it’s frustrating for the community, and I can feel that through a lot of your comments, but unfortunately that’s the way that collabs work, and a lot of it is out of TGC’s hands 🫶

its not out of their hands, they can choose not to do the collab. they could make better deals. they dont, because this is what makes them the most money. it is not productive to treat them like helpless damsels with no say in their own business decisions, come on.
It being a collab doesn't explain why 90% of their regular event cosmetics are just as highly overpriced IAP. Just have a look at Days of Mischief and Days of Color. What's TGC's excuse behind all that? They can't hide behind "it's a collab" as an excuse for their own events.
The few IGC items they release with events anymore are cheesy and not worth it, and when they come backthe next year for candle prices, they absolutely price-gouge so that moths or people who missed the first release either have to spend hours and days of their life grinding or feel compelled to give TGC even more money to buy candles (dark rainbow cape and sunlight towel capes anyone?).
It's just greed, plain and simple. TGC uses Sky as nothing but a profit opportunity now rather than fostering a fun, relaxing game and caring community like they used to. All Sky is now is a stressful, FOMO-induced grind obligation.
