The Bystial Lubellion has a similar effect from the GY to summon, for example.

Another deck that I've to study in order to learn how to counter it. My hard drive is running low in space for new info.
There are others that inherently SS from GY, but they all have a cost and don't feel random and free. Lubellion, Grapha, Reign-Beaux, Lightpulsar, Machina Fortress, Block Dragon, Infernoids.

Lubellion doesn't start a chain link when summoning itself from grave...
Tbf, Lubellion is not an effect to special summon, but instead a summoning condition. An actual example of a monster that special summons itself from the GY via effect without starting a chain link is Grapha.
Btw, yes, the difference matters. Lubellion can summon itself from the GY even under Necrovalley, while Grapha and the Horus monsters cannot.

Usually know the difference by the phrasing, "you can special summon this card by.."

Do you have a list you could share? Coming back to MD and my chaos grass deck has been more or less obliterated, would love to be able to scrounge it back together. Checking online a lot of the lists I've come across are from when Chaos Ruler was legal

the horus cards on their own are very strong and punish you hard if you try to get rid of their stuff so its kinda annoying to deal with a full board of the 4 guys on their own.
They’re unreasonably sticky, always come back unless you remove the sarc, and if you do while they’re still on the field they draw 4 add 2 back you can’t target them or attack them and you get a card on field sent to GY.
Will the og Horus and its other lv counterparts be playable to mix well with the rest of the archetype?

Ringowurm, Assault Synchron, Jet Synchron, and the Bystial lineup.
Basically what i'm running with Blue-Eyes right now, but Horus would make a similar lvl 8 turbo for the wild lvl 10 Synchro lineup + lvl 8 xyx packages.
Plus, with all the lvl 2 tuners, might as well run IP, Spright Elf, Goddess/Apollo.
Been looking forward to this pack since the OCG announcement.
Been waiting for the horus engine for blue-eyes, might just give blue-eyes an edge but the way I saw other people use it, it’s more like a Horus deck using a blue-eyes draw engine with jet to protect their continuous spell
@@goblinslayer1115 aye, sounds like the general main deck best strat with just the two archetypes. At least Dictator is 1-2 free summons, and Melody is practically the same, while the eggs are good hand advantage, and Jet is Jet.
Meanwhile, the Horus monsters seem pretty annoying to out, and recycle themselves just by existing.
Great pair of archetypes, imo, really can't wait to try it, too. Blue-Eyes Bystial Horus Synchro :)
@@dudeguy8686 yeah but it just doesn’t feel like a blue-eyes deck. With the blue-eyes cards theirs really no interaction with them, jet is the only card that interacts with field, GY, and hand… the rest of the entire deck is just used to draw more cards, with the horus cards being the only monsters you summon with jet and alternative being the exception. Just wish blue-eyes had good cards that did something
Dark world grapha and reign-beaux summon the same way, no activation. Just simply summon from gv like nothing (u got to return a dark world monster)

I am really excited for the Horus cards! I enjoy it a lot and its great! Gonna use them like in TCG with Dlink for some whacky fun builds!

pure and horus will both be good for different reasons until the support comes. definitely gonna try my hand at horus chimera but pure is just my bb

You mean Necrovalley? Yes I assume they can because Necrovalley stops cards from getting moved in and out of the gy.

Imsety is dark and picks up the spell by itself. None of the Horus monsters are light which feels wrong

@@diegocollado8333 depends. The minimum is 1 Hapi, 3 Imsety, and 1 King's Sarcophagus, but you can increase the King Sarc number
