Well just the show we needed , English Gents having a race all for a cup of tea . Jack and Nick thrashing each other ? Thanks for your video ,until next time .🤔👍👍What fun .
LOVE the collaboration! You're both great (camera crew, as always, deserve mention too) however you do play off each other rather well, it has to be said. Excellent video. Those socks though.
You’re absolutely right. This was a challenging shoot and edit so massive props (excuse the pun) to our outstanding production team. Glad you enjoyed it - Jack
Great to see you guys together, always informative, interesting and fun, As great with your solo work as you are when you team up, a great wealth of real world boating experience to share
Brilliant collaboration between Aquaholic and YachtBuyer! I really enjoyed the video. There's a great connection with you both, a bit Dad v Son I thought! Please do more similar type of reviews. As for the motor yachts, I'd prefer the Wellcraft 355. Now Jack, a word about tea making....... the correct and only way to make tea is with a teapot. The British should only make tea with a teapot, brewing tea in a cup simply won't do. It's what sets us apart from the rest of the world! 😀
My two favourite yacht presenters, a wonderful job guys, I really enjoyed this kind of presentation you both should more of this kind of reviews ciao guys
Wellcraft for me - worth extra extra £ for my needs. Great collab and fun way of comparing the 2 side by side, first one I have seen on YT so please keep these coming, fun to watch for sure!
You've got over 1 million subscribers between the 2 of you, and it shows! That was fabulous! 👏👏 If you'd had the optional 350's Jack, it would have been closer though... Personally, i like the flexibility of the Quarken, you can sleep the kids and grandkids, as it sleeps 6. The Wellcraft is a beast though, with a great bathroom. It's close... 🤔
I'm a big fan of this comparison concept and would definitely watch more videos like this. You see this a lot with cars but rarely with boats. Thank you!
Well done Nick & Jack. Another very informative and entertaining episode of PropGear - truely love this format. Also congratulations to the whole YachtBuyer video team - this could not have been easy to coordinate, film and edit into such a polished film - well done to you all. No other channel comes close to your quality productions. 👏👏🙌🙌
Wellcraft for me! Just love these videos, the pair of you together was such fun to watch…… but where was James - maybe he had run out of socks to wear! 😂😂
Hi Jack & Nick. Well you boys really know how to put in the hard yards.......again! What fun.....it's a clear case for horsepower, diesel hobs and youth......hahaha. Think I'd rather have the old 38KV though.... :)
You have to more of these. Both of you have worked for Hugo at MB&Y so that shows. The idea that keeps coming to my mind is the smaller Princesses or Sunseekers, but those would have to be longer races. You could also see who could go from Portsmouth to Calais get a good cheese and bottle of wine and back of Cowes for lunch using the bigger boats. Or have the two of you crew one larger boat. Also interested in maybe "Green" boats like the Greenlines. Also, Beneteau makes a line of larger boats, I think the NC line, things like that.
Wow you guys have so much fun, you definitely should get the BBC to do a top gear style show it would be awesome. For me it would be the Wellcraft, it just feels and looks more quality. Great video you guys thank you.
Love to see a battle of the Italian dreamboats - Say, a Solaris 52 Coupe and a Pardo 52 GT. Or a France v Baltic rematch, the Wellcraft 435 V Delta 48 coupe. Dont think you've tested the Delta yet either? I love these Prop Gear vids anyway, great idea 👍
Who doesn’t figure Jack and yachtbuyer are top of their game , smashing it ! Go Jack , I know the work you’re putting in behind the scenes and we all appreciate it. PS , Nick ain’t too shabby either .
Wellcraft for me, like you said its just a bit better built, better equipped and faster. Ps you should never squeeze a tea bag after brewing as it makes the tea bitter. Brilliant video, great to see a head to head from the best in the business.
More PropGear please 🎉 fun but informative. Money aside I’d have to take the Wellcraft, although obviously carrying a 50% addition in power, I thought it was noticeably louder at the helm ? Both handsome……… the boats ! Both having that purposeful rugged look about them……. Surprised that neither had a mid cabin as I would assume there to be a fair space below decks….. Again, more PropGear please, great pairing…….. 🇬🇧🙂
Jack, another great video, Top Gear for boats, nicely done and a good format to expand on mate. My Saxdor 400 GTC will be at the Southampton boat show and I’d love you to do a comparison of that model with that format.
That was like watching a kettle boil! 😆 Thoroughly enjoyed that and I think I'd choose the welcraft simply because of the sportier looks and performance but both are awesome boats. I'm guessing the camera operator is a marathon runner jumping between boats like that 👏👏👏 I'm really looking forward to the test between supermarine spearfish and F-line 33 👍😁👍❤️🇬🇧
That was excellent to see how both the boats can perform. Thank you for making such a good video. I think Targa and Wellcraft you should compare side-by-side.
I was thinking today I was hoping to see Nick today and here we are, stopped watching the motorholic show. Anyway, you guys seem to get on great, never seen you smile so much Jack. Only just started drinking tea but that looked 100% correct except I have lots of sugar. Now, to business, I would go for the Wellcraft, seemed a little more classy, in my dreams, if I had my Sunseeker 131, I think that would make a nice chase boat, even for a Princess MY85 (second favorite). Great show guys, hope you do it again and bring James with you, he's always good for a laugh and we'd have the 3 best boat bloggers out there all in one show.
Great that you enjoyed it, Jules, thanks! We’ve actually done an episode with James B before with three Fairlines; you can search for it on the channel. Thanks! - Jack
What a great bit of informative fun. The main take-away is: Never let Jack make you a cup of tea! Wellcraft for me, but the extra cash makes that quite a painful option as the Quarken is also really good.
@@Yachtbuyer As with every English person, I have opinions on tea-making even stronger than your tea, but my 'making tea on a boat' trial would have to use a teapot.
Absolutely awesome, the two of you doing comparisons, and really think you should do more. It's a win / win for you both, and for the audience. Well done. PS - When are we going to see you in a Nordhavn? Definitely prefer your tours to Nick's, he's gotta be waiving those big mitts in front of everything, I guess because we may not see it if he doesn't? Got me. Awfully annoying though isn't it. Cheers!
Jack. You know how to make the perfect cuppa. Although my wife would disagree...😂 Hoping to bump into you both at Southampton boat show...... Meeting up with Jonathan Parker hopefully...
Great mashup! What boat handled chop better and how do they compare to an Axopar? Curious if the extra weight helped the Wellcraft handle swell better and if it was a worthy trade off for nimbleness.
Very fun comparison of two similar boats. The Wellcraft is definitely a "beefier" boat with higher gunwales although the Quarken is actually a little bit wider. I differ with Nick over the driving position in the Wellcraft -- as a tall guy my head was right against the inside of the cabin wall next to the door and when standing my view through the low forward windshield was obstructed. I was keenly disappointed as the Wellcraft was of considerable interest to me. The Quarken is out for me simply due to crouching headroom belowdecks and low guardrails toward the bow. I also much prefer an opening side door over the flip down bench seats on the Quarken that I find a bit dopey frankly. Thanks for an innovative and enjoyable video.
Why does a Wellcraft 355 need shore power to make tea? You guys should do more videos together, quite entertaining. Do a video with the Nord Star 49 and Sargo 45 or Targa 46.
Fun video! I’d take the Wellkraft. I like the layout of the salon better and below deck was more what i need in a boat for now. That’s what I’d tell my wife, anyway. I really like the higher horsepower and higher top speed. Thank you for the excellent video!
Other 'differences' that should be mentioned: the 60,000 quid price difference, as tested, the Wellcraft's 30% higher fuel burn at 30 kts, the Wellcraft's beefier displacement and what looked like its better sea keeping when at speed.

Finally, the UA-cam mash up we've all been waiting for
Thanks Jack! My 2 favorite yacht presenters! 😊
What a great episode! Individually, you guys are great but together is something else!
