Another fabulous presentation however I do think that the depreciation amount would be at least 10/15% per annum on the costs. Accepting it's a pricey quality brand boat British built.
I'm new to this channel, but you guys are hilarious, but also no nonsense when it comes to explaining the operations of your boats. I am very glad that I happened upon this channel...keep up the good work!
A great first tour for 2023 James and a sea trial to boot, don't worry about the bowl because accidents do happen occasionally. A great Targa 45 GT so fast and roomy and a great price!
I see JB has a new video, I automagically click "Thumbs Up", clear the calendar, and settle back to watch it. As a bonus, the shout window in action...my day is complete! 😁 This was a beautiful boat and would make a great "Great Loop" boat!
What a great surprise for a Friday afternoon. Nice boat, love that walnut gloss is back as that's my choice no matter if fashion or not. Not really a long term trip boat, probably max a week at a time but perfect for that. Love the garage as to not spoil the lines and love that it's easy to handle. Happy new year James and family, looking forward to the next one.
You have gained a new subscriber! Watched loads of your vids and sorry if i didnt thumbs up them all!! Loved the one with your dad! I am 5 correct scores away from owning a boat :0))) Will never buy from anyone except you! Love your honesty and info!! As a ... FUTURE.... HOPEFULLY....customer i think you do a great job on budget stuff, hours per gallon etc, Just to add one more complication to your life from a skint dreamer...my calculation on boats is RANGE X FUEL CAPACITY! Just found your channel today, I think you are wonderful. I hope to see you soon.... 9x over 2.5 goals shouldnt be that difficult! :0)))) Hope you are well!
Great video as usual, however the bed in the master cabin is only 4'6" wide and also noticed that you had to dip down to see out of the windscreen properly, never the less a lovely boat and great value for money. 👍
Prior to engine start I would want to go into the mechanical compartment, check the oil, bilge and other safety checks. Nice boat, I am an American but really like the British cruiser brands - Princess, Sunseeker and Fairline. Pearls are ok too but they are made off-shore so I do not consider them British. I enjoy your videos, as they are a a bit different from the run of the mill boat videos.
Good seeing James and Dan at Boot yesterday. Love the video James… autograph please! Love the reality and real life enjoyment you present. Quite literally… smashing! 😬. Did Daz glue the bowl back together?
What a great looking boat! Looks big for being 45 ft! IMO it looks better than the new updated princess v50! But why have the navigation screen on the right side? So far away from the driver seat?
Wow. Wives must be different in the UK. Around here I think the response would be, "Sure. Absolutely. Are you sure we can't afford something bigger? The kids can just skip college and our parents can rot."
The top screen rail on all these hard top targa’s is really thick and makes forward view when helming really poor ,and with the side windows they don’t give a lot of ventilation in the med ….. on those IPs drive boats it’s always worth checking the exhaust connections onto the pod wouldn’t want another T45 sinking 😳. I’ll stick with my “old” targa 52 open thanks.
T52 is great boat but you wouldn’t believe how quiet and smooth new T45GT is. You would also appreciate the fuel use- its way less than T52 - new boats aren’t all bad you know 😎
Great video but I have one issue you have a lot of US subscribers can you please when you speak about stats, specs and pricing and you also do it in American us measures and money conversion
James great video as always, but why exaggerate the prices? You had the same boat model on your channel last year with a starting price of 690000 where you said that these models are usually upgraded with 100000 making a total of 790000. And now after a year and 95 hours of work is 850000? Well, this is ridiculous to say the least.
Always enjoy your videos and appreciate your perspective. I am a little confused how you calculate depreciation. Assuming 0 as you suggested that would mean you could resale the boat privately for 850. But if you were to trade it in against another boat, what could you reasonably expect?
Yes depreciation always excludes brokers fees or works required . I will make that clear next time. If trading in - we would normally deduct these fees but retail value stays same if I state depreciation as £0 😎
im a fully qualified mechanical engineer with almost half a century of practical and design experience. I could half the annual servicing cost and still provide value for money. I really should move down to the South coast. 8K is almost 3 times what I payed for my 3 bed detached bungalow in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. admittedly this was 1974 but bugger me 8K for an annual service. A good mechanic could make a good living, don't think I've got the bare faced cheek to take advantage of people like that even if they obviously have more money than brain cells and sense.
Remember that £8k is over 5 ‘ engines’ 2 engines, 2 IPs drives and a generator . Take the vat off and that is £1,300 per unit. Parts must be a few hundred quid, then travelling , then lifts and all starts to add up but I agree it’s a lot !
It's a shame that it's IPS, I would never consider anything but straight shafts (or V of course) and there are too many IPS only boats - especially in my range (45 - 55'). I don't believe space is a reason, it's people not learning to drive proper and think they get so much more. You do get more, more costs!
You know who should buy this boat? Bloody Nick 'Aquaholic' Burnham! And if that bloody tosser days he can't afford it, he's straight karking lying! He's the most damn popular Yachttuber on here! and he has 2 channels! If Nautistyles is bloody buying a multi-million dollar yacht they supposedly didn't get a discount on (raise your hand if you believe that). Then he can afford a bloody Targa GT! (I'm American obviously and don't know British slang that well, but you get the jist). Just kidding. I don't think Nick has enough time to actually enjoy a yacht like this.
Crikey Cliff - I am not sure if you are angry or happy writing this but either way - Nick does not need to buy a boat like this - he can borrow my one anytime 😂
Don’t like the wife comment! It’s common courtesy to discuss such a big investment with your wife. My wife would ask me how we are going to finance this purchase and discuss the pros and cons. I see that as a healthy relationship and working as a team. I see it as a unhealthy relationship if I just go ahead and buy the boat without any discussion. Come on James! It’s 2023! Not the 1800s!
Another fabulous presentation however I do think that the depreciation amount would be at least 10/15% per annum on the costs. Accepting it's a pricey quality brand boat British built.

Love all your videos- a little bit of humor and a lot of good information.
Thanks Peter
Love the backwards hat! Plus the rest.
Sorry the bowl sacrificed itself to remind the lucky new owner to do a quick sea prep walkthrough.
I love these videos where you're out in the water.

You folks ever get one of these with the three cabin layout? Everyone always mentioned the option, but I've yet to see one.
Pretty rare - I in 10
Absolute quality Hahaha forgot to check the fuel, and forgot to check the tide ha ha ha love watching these videos. Keep it up

I got a boat for my wife, good swap!
Me and my wife had twenty years of bliss - then we met.
Love watching your videos James. Thanks
Brilliant video, loved the detailed instructions to get going
Happy new year 🎉
Always like your videos, honest, down to earth, entertaining and informative, can’t ask more than that 😁
Happy new year to you all, keep these vlogs coming for 2023.
Great review. Loved the dogs and the backwards hat. The boat was quite nice too. I can dream (or spend every last penny that I have) 😀
Loved the video.. Excellent one, Hope to see more of these, best regards

Ah thanks Leona 🙏 here when you are ready for your first boat 😎

Really interesting and useful video. Thank you.
Absolutely love this one 👌 has everything you could need. Great video again 🤙
Thought I was on the wrong podcast for a minute athur askey with that hat on
😂
Lads i don’t know much about boats but I love your videos there class keep up the good work
Thanks Andrew!
Great video i always love your videos
love these reviews
I have already followed your advice. I've told my wife if we ever have enough money, it's going on a boat, no argument
@@stephencunningham101 😂
Brilliant. Think I will swop it for my narrow boat 🛥
😂
You don’t have to hold the start button in. Just press once, release and the engine will crank until it starts.
👍🏻
Why ruin the saloon with a dining table when you have one below and one in the cockpit a coffee table in the saloon would be much more inviting 21:04
It's about friggin time, where y'all been? HNY!
Missed the master head… it does have one??? And that engine space. Great looking boat though, she’s a beauty!
Yes 2 heads sorry !

Had a tour at SIBS. Lovely boat, but the header rail on the windscreen is a bit low.
It’s still be my choice in this segment.
Good seeing James and Dan at Boot yesterday.

For co pilot
A smashing good show James! 😄
😂
I hope you warmed it up a bit and checked the fluids? I love the Targa 45.
Of course 🤐
these boat is super beautiful but I'm follow many videos I didn't see with presenting it's garage how big is the mini boat is can carry?
Williams Minijet 280
What is the volume of the fuel tank of this boat؟؟؟

Hi Alex - one without vat and one with vat . About 20%- we sell either way depending on location. 😊
Can you see the water on your front properly??? It looks that the top of the windshield is blocking the view. It seems that it is in your eye level
Nah it’s fine 🤩

Was quite interested but unfortunately I want one with a bowl.
No flotation equipment being worn by yourself or crew?
Apologies
Thinking about a Azimut Atlantis 45 a Fairline 45 seems to have more deck space. Wonder wich one brings most reliability and quality?
I am slightly biased but Targa 45 wins on both those points and residual value too which is nice to know 👌
How much to fit demister then, you forgot that one?

Don't lean out the shout window to far.... people might think it's a cattle truck..lol..
think that speed log needs re calibrating 🤣😂or did ya change it from metres to feet on the depth ,
It was doing 30 knots I promise
What I find funny, besides you of course, is the 849.950… I mean you give me 50 quid back, hehe…
Anyways, love your videos ! Cheers !
Very nice yacht.. If u r going boat life this year.. I'll try not to get in ur video again.. Fairline last year..
😂 see ya there !
Targa, Targa, Targa... What about Sunseeker?
I do some 😍
Are all these costs the same if the boat is berthed in Cala D'Or?
Nearly but the berth in Calador will be circa 30k

Yes sir !
Seems people in England don't keep their boats for long, perhaps the weather has something to do with it😂.
Get your fenders in!!
🥳🥳
Lovely boat that one. Would I buy from dodgy? WIF 😅
😂
Do what Jim Davidson did. Promise the missus you will name the boat after her.
It could do with a bigger shout window !
😂
What did he call the boat
The old hag lol
Arthur Daley and Charlie Drake had a grandson
