Can you use it without the heart rate monitor?
Hi, great review. I'm thinking to upgrade my computer to this model or Suunto Eon Steel...
The HR is a nice feature but I'm no so excited to have it.
Do you know if the Suunto has the same scracth and glare problems on the screen? Will you do a full review like this one? I guess Suunto has wet brass pins conector also, but battery will deplete sooner because of the screen... right?
regards
I've got the Suunto Eon Steel and love it. I have access to the G2 at a discounted price as a Divemaster and still haven't gotten one. While it's a great computer, after talking to owners and having my own experiences with the Eon Steel, I won't pull that trigger. I have ordered a Mantis 2 however for quick trips with just fun dives and no students. Of course, you have to make up your own mind, but the Eon Steel is where it's at for me over the G2.
Good luck!
Hi Giskard Reventlov,
Currently we are testing te Suunto EON Steel. So we hope in 2 or 3 weeks a complete review about the Suunto Eon Steel! Stay tuned to see him!
What is about Suunto Eon Core?
Bought it a month ago.
Mostly positive experience with it.You named the cons.
One more cons: the software presentation is horrible. One of the worst on the market. Scubapro manage to make worse and worse for each new program.
Most like the calculation of real bottom time left. Not many manufacturors calculate with deco, and anothers stops while presenting "bottom time left".
Luna is now my backup computer (diving with always with 2).
I do not use heartband.
Owner of ScubaPro G2 wireless. PERFECT....except there is so much glare on the screen, I cannot read it. Very disappointed and ScubaPro says “oh...you’re th first to,mention this.” Caveat....before you buy one, dive it and see how reflective the screen is. I’ll take my old LCD Galileo Luna over this one. At least I can read it!
Indeed the glare isn't helpful!
Ronald Johnson Hell, I had readability issues with my Luna too. Contrast is too low in some conditions. I got a Perdix instead and it’s been much better so far.
This guy is a sleeping tablet
geez thanks nick
@@50ftBelow well I still watched the video haha. And I have watched others so I'll retract that somewhat as its Good content I have to admit. But man get some energy into it. Inspire us dude haha. Keep up the good work
Thanks Nick! English is my second language and this limits me a bit in the presentation! But working on it and will get better!
Just curious what your first language is. I’ve been around the world a few times and find your English excellent... better that this ol’ country Southern Boy’s english.!
