MWC ... Please ignore ANY negative comments on this vid. You kids NAILED it. Complicated song. Complicated arrangement. Complicated musicianship. 4 stars in any/every category.. Ignore any negative comments. Rock on. I will be followingyou. .
Thank you so much for kind and thoughtful comments. I'm a huge fan of this program, and have seen kids accomplish things I wouldn't have believed possible. The lead singer is a School of Rock "AllStar" and has grown from a shy girl to an accomplished performer - and mentor to the younger kids. The lead guitarist is in shows with his brother and sister, and they have a band of their own already. The bassist is already gigging regularly. And the rhythm guitarist just did a truly astounding performance of two Thin Lizzy songs this most recent season.
We need more people like you in the world. Kids playing music shouldn't be shit on, critical comments are good, but just saying they suck is pointless and is more likely to make them want to give up instead of trying to improve. Cheers mate.
Haven't heard this one in quite a while. Thanks for reminding how damn good of a song it is. Top of the line cover. No weak links in this SOR group. I got this one in my Top 10 SOR covers. Well played!
Love this song with the thick-wall of sound - makes it hit hard and psychedelic. Nice job hitting keeping a heavy strong beat and driving the band by the drummer, and the little kid can play a nice lead. Nice to see the two singers having fun.
best Cover of this good Song from Manfred Man's earth Band i have seen since many years! Thank you soooooo much, it's great fun top See you doing this Song nearly 45 years later, i saw the earth Band live, great Job!
David Ryder The whole performance brought tears to my eyes. These talented young people playing this beautiful, complex song from long ago with this much joy. Just amazing ✌️
the Music, the singers, the stops the solos. it was all near perfect in their own way. and thats how it should be. no one can perfectly cover songs. (Unless youre metallica the biggest cover band in the world check garage inc rofl.) they did it in their own way.
Judah Sweig is in this? Where? Oh now I see, at least I think that's him. This is 2016 so I guess he could be th young fellow with long dark curley hair.
You won't hear a negative comment from me these kids rocked it you aint kidding very well done, i'm sorry if this is negative, but the boss' version was/is not that great. rock on kids, awesome.
I wonder if they know what a "A teenage diplomat in the dumps with the mumps the adolescent pumps his way into his hat" means, as there are some adolescent men there, I think it's a little funny.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 No I can't blame them a bit!! It's one of those fun songs. You can take the meaning of the words any way you want. It's a mystery!
My goal is to try to capture every player on the stage, and some are hidden by others, so I have to get in close up. Beat Kitchen has a great staff, but is not an ideal venue for shooting concert video, and I'm essentially limited to two camera locations, one back by the sound board, and one right by the stage. Look through my other videos to see how different my shooting style is in different venues.
michael g this isn't negative, but a suggestion and the filmer explained why he did how he did it, so there was a suggestion and let's thank the filmer that he did what he did and that not the person with the suggestion filmed it 😜

-Keep it fun
-And, eat lots of vegetables
I like you're style.
They did a great job except the vocals are being drowned out by the music.

She and Gillian harmonize so well!
Gillian and Tyler do an admirable job, they make a great pair!!
Well done kids, I'm amazed. It's great that you found this wa weather song.

Loved this SOR band. Your band was tight and did a faithful cover of this gem!
Lead guitar, organ and drums are all very good. Very tight performance all around.
That was an amazing performance by everyone in the band
seen alot of these ....and this was great

Nice to see this generation getting into the music of their parents' generation! These kids are great musicians.
yep & not modern day shit...
Incredible. I miss these kids
this was great . voice and instruments are perfect.
Unbelievably well done!! A tough song to sing & play and all of you killed it!! Loved every second of it!
Five of these young musicians became AllStars - Tyler Thenstedt, Judah Sweig, Niko Tena, Alexis Walters and Casey Street.
That is a hard song to do
Guitar solo, boom, game over.
Holy Cow! I'm getting chills this so good!
Album also featured Bruce's "Spirits in the Night".

Early Boss wordplay. Greetings. From Asbury Park. New Jersey.
They nailed it
Beautiful amazing talent
woow !! incredible performance by all of you, keep on rockin' , regards from Mexico
Very well done!!!
I remember going to the movie theater with my mother I seen a pinball wizard on a big screen they were playing that song
Damn that was easily the best cover ever!!
Rock and roll!!!!!!
Lovely❤
Well done version of an extremely hard piece to play and sing!
That's called getting into the music.
That kid shredded the lead, sounded like Leslie West, and that's incredibly high praise.
Just balling my eyes out ... oh my godz 6:28

This is a tough song to do - it is the Jabberwocky of rock 'n roll. ✌

Does anyone know what Tyler is doing now?
I presume she is at college.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 thanks
There are a few videos of her during her time at the University of Michigan. Check out her band Electric Chic…try Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked.
Wow...pure rock and roll..not perfect but made up with power and passion...awesome
Vocals are aces. I take that back everyone's aces.
Great fuckn job
Keys nailed it.
The Roaring Silence (1976)
Zaid Abdullah's little sister plays keys on this video!!
Who’s the blonde in the keyboard? The focus is unreal
Alexis Walters, who became a School of Rock AllStar last year, one of the best in the program.
Bruce's original lyrics are "cut loose like a deuce", to preserve the rhyme.
✌😎✌😎✌✌✌
Judah Sweig is in this? Where? Oh now I see, at least I think that's him. This is 2016 so I guess he could be th young fellow with long dark curley hair.
Wait! There he is, playing next to the long dark curly hair, but slightly shorter and lighter hair!! Wow, he's young!
The Mexican kid got to play the lead in this song.

Wrapped up like a Duece?

Its a strange composition to cover. Nicely done everyone.
That kid plays a mean lead
Early on, I think Bruce was trying to outdo Bob D. in the lyrics department.
Springsteen wrote that? Who'da thunk it.
Those girls are having too much fun singing this song. The lyrics are mysterious and a bit controvercial.
But you can't hold their love of making music against them, can you?
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 No I can't blame them a bit!! It's one of those fun songs. You can take the meaning of the words any way you want. It's a mystery!
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 RIGHT!!
It's no mystery...the lyrics in the chorus are:
"Blinded by the light,
Revved up like a deuce,
Another runner in the night...
@@johnpaine673 BUT what do those words mean? And for a long time people thought there were different words. So the mystery was born.
Manfred Mann , not Bruce Springsteen
No, Springsteen wrote the song. Manfred Mann did a cover.
kinda dont like the close up camera angles would rather more full stage
