Two more things worth to be mentioned about grinding (at least in air RB): 1: The longer you live in battle the more xp you will get after match end. 2: Not a long time ago gaijin added xp multipliers for killing more enemies, for 2 enemies it's 15%, for 3 killed foes it's 50% and 4 kills stands for 100% xp multiplier

I jusy grinded the naval/fighter branch until i got to the f-14. I played wt on an old account i lost and i didnt want to put myself through hell again grinding every branch in multiple countries in tanks and planes, im doing just planes one country i cant be bothered anymore.
I been playing casually since 2014 I’m just about to hit tier V but I get every tank, plane, and ship and they never stop adding content. I think I’ll finish my tree when I’m 40
Its painful because war thunder is the best airplane/tank/naval game there is, but it takes SO LONG to get good at and SO LONG to get more vehichles and its not even fun
One thing’s for sure, if you are a maniac like me and are doing this in Arcade rather than Realistic, get yourself a separate preset and fill it with Rank II planes. Rank II in the US tree is an absolute blast, and it’s fun having an alternate lineup you can go to and enjoy when the grind is too frustrating.

A good rule of thumb is never turn fight in US fighters, they are meant for boom and zoom. There are a few exceptions but for the most part, you should climb, dive on opponents without much energy, and run away before anyone can engage you

Heres how I grinded the American air tree: - bought a talisman for the A-26B-50 - Played ~250 games in it to get to the f105 thunderchief (was still at rank 6 when I grinded for it) - Realized playing the f105 thunderchief is genuine hell on earth so when the F-111 first got added I grinded for that as quickly as possible - Used the F-111 to grind out the rest of the American tree
I reckon the best way to get to jets is the German tech tree. It doesn't take long and your on 2 classic fighters (Fw-190 and Bf-109), which you can have fun levelling up the tiers. you skip the air defense fighter line and the bomber line but do the striker line, which also has some legendary planes (Ju-87 and Hs-129 Duck). It is not a painful grind, and you get your first jet (Me-262) at tier 4!
yeah but the me262 apparently (ive seen ppl complaining and ive downed many considering how little ive played that br bracket) is an awful jet to have in uptiers so like with all of the trees you come across a brick wall at tier V

I like the America tech tree, i found it enjoyable when I stopped being depressed about the grind, and loved the P-51s. I eventually got the A-10 and F4-S premium, when it came out.
To any new players that see this do not expect same results he is sea clubbing also known as smurfing so he’s going against a lot less experienced and skilled players which is why he is getting so much

11:03 I like the added detail of those little fans for the American gun pods. I forget how they work exactly down to the T, but what I do know if that they utilize the aircraft's airspeed to fire the guns after the pilot pulls the trigger.
Pro tip, go into arcade until you learn how to lead an aircraft properly. Don’t bring in the gun pods and use the universal or air belts instead of tracer belts. You’ll score a lot more kills a lot faster with a little bit of practice. Also if you’re using one plane a lot it doesn’t hurt to read the little war thunder wiki article about that plane.
As far as heavier planes go, the P-61C Black Widow is amazing for long range sniping and head-ons. 4 belly mounted 20mms, lots of ammo, airbrakes, AN USEFUL RADAR, and a top mounted turret with 4x .50 cals. Later you can also unlock 4x 500lbs bombs that can create havoc against ground units and even enemy bases The only real problem is you are quite fragile for a heavy fighter/interceptor, and people WILL try to shoot you down the second they spot you. Normally this means people taking more risks to kick you out of the match, so agains planes without nose mounted weaponry (such as Spitfires) a head-on is a great way score some skills. But planes like the BF-109 a head-on might be a very bad idea
*fact* the a 10 is used for ground support lik3 tanks bases and etc. It is also used for helicopters but not air to air combat but in the game u can use it for air to air
I'm using P47M as main grinding plane in RB to grind the US tree away. It helped me to plow through rank 1 to 3 easily, it won't be much longer til I clear rank 4 out. Rank 5 and beyond will be longest for me to complete.
I'm not in a hurry for the top tiers. This engine wasn't really built for them sadly. I just want to fly the flying fortress into the enemy spawn wave and see how she holds up lol. Last match brought the A-20 for the same reason and got 6 kills with it lol.
The P-40 is insanely good at maneuvering. In custom servers I take it in to carpet endgame tanks and out turn jets. when you get a speed boost especially it becomes an acrobatic plane.

If you play GB and need a plane, I recommend only playing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th line. Then you will get planes like the F3D-1, AD-4, A-10, and F-15. And it's the fastest line to grind (you need to unlock 6 planes per rank to go on). With this, you can get to top tier. Only on USA THO

If you’re still at low tier the A-36 can be a good grinder if you mainly play GRB like me. Carries 2x 500lb bombs and is decent at fighting off other planes + has quick deployment of the air brakes.
You can get crazy kills with the sb2c-4 because a bomber spawn with a interceptor type plane is good, you can first bomber kill then after that you can dive down on some unsuspecting enemys and get those kills and you can get 3-5 kills each game if gajin is on your side
Accidental friendly fire is when you get between enemy and friend trying to kill enemy and not you. On purpose friendly fire is when ally not happy with anyone stealing their kills.
Play Air RB with the P-47D-28, sideclimb and boom and zoom and you can also dogfight people, make sure you're close to your team mates or in a isolated spot in the map.
You only need 2 planes to unlock most others besides jet in only a couple days. A-36, and AM-1. I've got 12ish years experience with like 11:1 kds on my best planes and this is how I grind out any new or friends account. Ground pound in air rb. Both of these planes can easily fly semi like a fighter and get a kill or 2 there as well. Get as many points as you can, die, go to next game. If you can talisman one of these and do even 1 day premium you can unlock most things in an afternoon
a20 is fun though. it gets rockets and it has good front cannons, and you can do head on after head on crit, severe or destroying enemy fighters (and you turn suprisingly well upwards in a loop the loop)
For tier V personally I think the F-80 line is better than the F3D & F84 line. Also the F2H & F9F are the best if you don’t like tickling your enemy to death.
I got pretty good at props to were I’d drop twelve kills just about every game with my favorite American line up , but ever since I got into jets I get 3 tops it’s just such an immediate grinding halt to sl a rp gain at jet level it’s crazy
I bought the F5C, began at rank 4 5 planes in, after a month i am halfway through rank 5, very good plane if grinding through this i recfommend F4S or F5C
In aardvark you must turn of MAV, don't ask why, just do it. I recommend to use him as bomber with 24x 750lb bombs, two aim9b and gun. That's because with full loadout or with more guns wings will not close and your Vmax is only 950 km/h, not 1.3 mach
If you’re grinding low tier, I recommend low tier since you’re not that good at the game, or the country you’re playing, if you wanna go hard I’d recommend realistic. Top tier-mid late tier is good for realistic. ❤

Both Fw and Bf-109 are cancerous fighter/CAS. They did not even need to use bombs, only gun is enough.

If you’re grinding low tier, I recommend low tier since you’re not that good at the game, or the country you’re playing, if you wanna go hard I’d recommend realistic. Top tier-mid late tier is good for realistic. ❤
