I really liked the interview. Some points which struck me were:
1. You make commercial movies to increase your audience, so that when you do the real stuff, there will be more people watching it, and appreciating the good work, and even learning more about their own taste of films. That's both smart and wise.
2. Stardom depends on the theatrical trailer. "Say you are a couple of films old. And you have a terrific trailer. People will flock to the theatres"........."Trailer, the vibe, in general what you promise, what they feel about that particular film, it could be a poster design, it could be anything..I think the content is the star." That's precisely what happened with Jathi Ratnalu. That shows his clarity in vision, and hats off to that!
3. "Like you said, if it's everywhere, there is no other option than survival" About false news in current media.
I've always liked Nani as an actor. He's very genuine and real on screen. Based on this interview, I feel like he is also wise and smart in the way he looks at his profession.
I had no idea Nani was so articulate and intelligent. He has so much knowledge about films. I guess it's because BR asked him interesting questions and brought out the best in him. Kudos BR :)

His great asset is his ability to cry or emote the most heart breaking of scenes along with his terrific comic timing and his excellent telugu diction
If an actor is able to make an audience emphatize and relate with his performances he is a natural in acting
Yes there are certain commercial blimps in his career wherein he type cast himself in a certain format of films but that being said he still is a terrific actor right in leagues with VDK
VDK is more physical in his acting wheras nani underplays it and is more emotive
I am sorry to say this it is you who is basically living in a shell my frnd who is not able to understand the basic points that make an actor a performer
Rohit Reddy Bro i am not talking about the movies he did...u r right he emotes well and has good comic timing but the things he does are very much suitable for commercial cinema thats my point...i don’t find realism in his acting sorry to say this but thats the truth...look at world cinema and actors who does realistic acting ...ok lets leave world cinema in India there are so many real performers....the understanding of realistic acting may differ from me and you and so many people you find him good ok thats fine for you but for me his acting is good for commercial cinema...even yevade is classy but still commercial i liked his performance in that movie but that kind of acting is limited to commercial cinema
@@VinayKumar-cg7sg An actors performance is based on the film industry he works in my frnd , if you compare our performers to worlds best performers than its obvious that there acting looks much more intense owing to the fact that their cultural understanding of a scene is different compared to say an indian context ,
But if you compare it in the indian context he is a really good actor ,its just that the movies he chooses have not been overtly performance oriented , like he said he straddles 2 worlds of commercial and and story oriented cinema judge his performances based on the off beat films he does and if you see them you can notice his good performances
Yes he isnt the acting powerhouse that is say a nawazzudin or for that matter kamal hasan but that not is stopping one to take away the fact that he performs in a natural way
Some might not like VJS performances some might like his performances, same might go to a dulquer or a nivin performance its all based on the cultural context in which your watch the movies
Besides an actor grows as he acts he still has age in his side and I am pretty sure he will do much greater roles that fully explore his range
Really Nani improved his English speaking skills very much.

Although I had heard praises for him since many years, became his fan just recently after watching Shyam Singha Roy. What a character and what an actor! Then came Ante Sundaraniki and I can't stop swooning and smiling over his performances & his dimples. Now I search his movies and watch one everyday- kind of a difficult task since not all have English subtitles.
Watched Jersey last week and I'm still not done crying over it 🥺
As for this interview, it was such a pleasure listening to him ♥️ When he talks about his excitement over the fdfs of his movies, I could feel his joy and couldn't stop smiling. Wish him to get more success so that we get more quality work of his & he gets more audience ♥️

Very candid interview. Rarely there is anything interesting to hear from the Telugu movie interview unless you are into gossip or sensation. This is one such rare gem. Nani, please be real like you are always. Seeing some of your recent movies (Not seen Jersey), I almost gave up on you.

Nani is one of the finest actor not in South but I can say in full Bollywood such actors are very less. But at the same time I feel the interviewer was being too critical about the “big star” part of the conversation, which I felt was not needed when talking to someone whose opinions were so positively candid. He should’ve been a little more conversational than criticising!

I don't understand Telugu but watched his few films with subs. Very good actor! In Telugu cinema where everything is dramatically so loud. Nice to see such a natural actor to the standard of Om Puri and Naseeruddin. On screen Nani looks a character. Whenever you get a chance do contribute your talent to the Hindi cinema.
