The thing with Gilgamesh and Thena is that they don't let you know whether their love is romantic or platonic but it doesn't matter. Their love is unconditional and they would do anything for each other, that's all that matters.

marvel was literally trying so hard to sell ikarus and sersi as a couple and their love throughout eternity for like 2 hours; meanwhile, thena and gilgamesh, as well as druig and makkari get breadcrumbs for like, 8-10 minutes and they not only steal the show but you buy into their relationship and the bond they both share.
