You know it's awesome to see that you and your dad have such a wonderful relationship you are quite a pair you make people in this world proud that have a son and a father who works so good together my thumbs are up up for you guys
I had a custom built engine cradle. For jobs like what you were doing my shop guys found it almost easier to slide the engine out in order to get full access to all sides of the engine. Plus, there are always hoses and such way back in on the firewall that needed replacing. With the engine out the firewall also got scraped and steam cleaned.
There is something very therapeutic watching someone else doing all the work lol !! I have been fighting all day getting a turbo oil feed to stop leaking and now my hands are missing a bit of skin . There was also lots of swearing :)
Great work Tyler you and your dad make a great team I'd love to let you guys take a look at my MC9 8v71 I'm sure it could use a good tune up and brake inspection I'm so impressed with your knowledge and we all need a great mechanic we can trust.
I found it interesting that they were driving an alternator off of the blower drive. All of the MCI busses I had (long story) all had 24 volt oil cooled gear driven (off the back of the engine) alternators. In watching your videos I saw some other clever placements of what appeared to be 12 volt alternators.
Question for your next Q&A: how are you liking the move to Tennessee? Do you find it difficult to be so far out in the country? What do you miss the most? What do you like the best?
Have you done a video on that tool you used to grab what was sticking out after the bolt snapped? I haven't seen that before. Sometimes there's not enough to double nut. That looks like a drill chuck but large enough for a 9/16" screw.

Great job Tyler, I was having my doubts on that extraction. I was sure it was going to bring the aluminum threads with it! You are good man!
Tyler, I like your confidence in explanation 👌 great work you two keep up the honest work ☮
Thanks for the upload. That extractor worked pretty slick. He was lucky on that turbo. Nice work.

That is so cool that you and your dad can work together as well as you do.
Very little belt wrap on that fan pulley. I wouldn’t be surprised if it slips easily. I wouldn’t leave mine setup like that.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you guys use the torch!
We use them occasionally. Induction heater works better for most of what we do
Man, that is a booger bear. Well done guys.
Dang Tyler, you made that look relatively easy.

Cool to see y wrenching again on vidio old school mechanics
Great to see some new vids! Any updates on your bus sometime?
good video, keep them coming
I'd weld a nut to exposed end then try and turn it out the heat from welding helps loosen it.

You got a big job
Enjoyed watching that thank you Tyler
Glad you’re back. How is your Silverside Custom Coach
Where did Lance serve when he was in the Air Force
Good stuff.
Hi. What brand of extractor are you showing? Thanks Tyler
So, what was the problem? The turbocharger is the one leaking oil? What was the solution? Did you replaced the turbo? Thank you.

Just a cheap extractor I piced up at orileys. It's pulled a lot of broken bolts and studs
Love the videos
11:56 What is that tool your using to extract that stud end (former bolt)? Please?

Hey Lance!

LOL :)
Fyi.....clamp is NOT OPTIONAL or so I've heard.....
Those "V" clamps have a name, they are Marman clamps;

Gee that was a BIG yawn about 13.15 by Scott! More sleep mate. Regards from Australia.
