What is a Bali Beach Club? Top 4 in Seminyak

We didn't even know what a Bali beach club was until we got to Indonesia. You, however, are probably looking for the best beach club. I literally pictured a pool and a bunch of day beds, meaning people taking naps. So of course we had to tour around Seminyak and see the the 4 top beach clubs in Bali (there are some in other areas, but Seminyak is the resort town where they are most popular).
So here it is:
Potato Head - super cool, laid back vibes here, but it's not as big as some, so the beds get taken up rather quickly, you'll want to arrive early if you want one. The pizza upstairs is awesome.
Finns - very Miami kind of vibe here, definitely more upscale and ritzy, but we didn't think it had that Bali beach club vibe that we expected. Beds were expensive, so were the drinks, but it had the nicest design and architecture by far, plus it's pretty big. Still, kind of pretentious in our minds...this is Bali after all.
Mrs. Sippy - our favorite because it's cheap and there is a high dive platform, so we just had some drinks and did flips and stuff. Honestly we can't stand laying around, so this place is our #1
Ku De Ta - you just have to go to catch a sunset here. The day beds are free, which is rare for a beach club, so jump in and grab one (they are first come first serve) before the sunset begins. You'll need a reservation if you want to eat at the restaurant though!
You might think the beach clubs are kind of gimmicky, but they aren't - they're totally worth a day if you have the time in your schedule.

Well technically Finns Beach Club is in Canggu, not Seminyak. But my personal favourite in all of Seminyak are Potato Head and Ku De Ta. You should have gone to Kaum, the Indonesian restaurant at Potato Head. It is one of the best Indonesian restaurants in all of Bali and they’ve got incredibly unique and traditional cocktails.
Otherwise this September, the famous beach club from Ibiza, Café del Mar, is opening up their Bali branch in Canggu. Definitely not to be missed.
But of course, there’s always the OMNIA beach club in Uluwatu. That is if you feel like burning some cash and listening to EDM music.

Nice video. I done all the beach clubs in this vid. There is another called tropicola we went to and they was pouring spirits in to your mouths for doing a half decent dance lol. Sippy is definitely the best

So much to do and see in Seminyak. We could go back and do a “top 10 beach clubs” 😁

Kudeta the first beach club in bali I remember long time ago I don’t need spending much to stay in day bed
The only thing I see wrong with Mrs sippy, is those dive platforms after a few drinks. We have been there just prior to sunset and some of the people that jump into the water after a few glasses of turps and Dutch courage, and
there are people still in the pool, it's an accident waiting to happen
I think we'd totally agree. We saw people getting pretty crazy, but it was midday, I bet it gets chaotic in the evening. Also, a lot of people were attempting to 'learn' and do their first backflip from the highdive. This resulted in people coming up and sitting on the side of the pool holding their heads because they had mild concussions from whiplash, etc

What’s the best time for Bali ?

Thanks Raz! I think we got to KDT about 1.5 hrs before sunset. In fact, we went a couple nights and didn’t have issues getting a bed, people seem to be coming and going so you kinda just wait and grab one (all are first come first serve)

for payments of entry, pool seats etc. is it all cash (Bali or USD, or CAD) ? or is it on a bar tab? Or credit card?
I believe they took our credit card as payment 😎
At Finns, they take your bank card and ID as security. When you go to settle your bill, you get your card and ID back and you can then choose to pay by Cash (indonesian rupiah) or by card. Not sure about the others.
Which club had the best music or DJ?
lol i just lied down on the daybeds at finns and the other ones without paying, no one said anything.

Hey... do you need to make a reservation at Mrs Sippy to get a day bed?
I think it depends on if it's the high season or not, or a weekend. We didn't need to make a reservation, and there were more than a few available when we showed up in the middle of the day, however, there aren't a ton of beds compared to other clubs, so it's probably smart to book ahead if you definitely need one.
Perhaps I should do all the luxury places in Bali pple tend to look for cheap always 😊

That’s a really good point, but I think I’d keep the same order - we prefer clubs with vibes that are easy going, friendly. If the bed was super expensive, we got the vibe of people being territorial and stand off, kinda like “Don’t talk to me, let me lay here I paid good money for this expensive bed”
mrssippy in seminyak, Single Fin in Uluwatu.
I'm here at the moment and checked out Finns yesterday. My 2 friends arrived early and each opted for a day bed with a minimum spend of 750000 Idr each (About £40 English pounds ) . I Joined them a couple of hours later and as there were no beds available near to them, I just used the bar to buy my drinks and sat on the end of 1 of the beds whilst Chatting with my 2 girlfriends. Before I could finish my second drink I was approached by a pretty rude security guy and told that it was company policy not to allow this . I left immediately as it's not so much fun hanging out on your own 😒This ruined the whole experience and I shall never return. I have to say it is Very beautiful place but the vibe is so pretentious and the Security really think they are something special. I agree with the Video that the other 3 mentioned have a much cooler, relaxed vibe. 😎

Probably pretty low risk of theft at the day clubs, they have security. Beaches might be different, depending on which one you choose? 🤷🏻♂️

rohan deshmukh the view is spectacular. the general admission fee costs IDR600.000 and the VIP which overlooks the indian ocean is IDR800.000. Food is included and its very delicious. The infinity pool was amazing too. I recommend going after 4pm, its way too hot when we went. Loved the place, not too crowded since they require advance booking. Hope this helps! And oh btw, you can’t go there without a private driver, they don’t allow a taxi to pick you up after checking out.

We thought so too! Bali is still cheap for sure, but starting to get a bit more expensive and some 'fancy' places are starting to experiment with western prices...not sure if it'll work out, I think a major appeal of Bali is how cheap it is.
$7 admission + $35 for the bed = $42 as well
