@@randomhunter8593 Lol, he means "up" as in "up the priority this post, it needs an answer". As for the colors, you can choose different themes in Abletons preferences menu. You can also download custom themes (and even make your own) at a website called livethemes (google it). Its really good, I recommend it. When you've downloaded a new theme, right click on Ableton and then click "show package contents" if you're on a mac. Then go to Contents/App-Recources/Themes and put the downloaded theme there. Then you can choose it in Preferences inside Ableton.
Good video. Like LFO, I've had issues leaving these Automator vsts active closing and reopening after collect all save. Crashed. If I just disable before save and re-enable on reopening, its straight. I figure it's constantly changing data and conflicting with saved project. They're great tools, though.
I'm glad this is in Ableton now, but it needs work. What I don't like is that the ranges/depth are wonky. For instance you can create a sidechain effect using a 0-50 range with a Utility, but if you want to, for example, adjust the depth, the "depth" control doesn't work right because of the 0-50 range. So, then you figure, ok well just adjust the bottom of the range (the 0), but you can't automate that. And you can't map that to a macro either for automation. I hope Ableton makes a proper shaper with flexible ranges the way it should be. This is kind of hack.
CPU Question : I'm using this device for live performances (for "chopping" of my voice and other instruments), and it appears to be extremly CPU heavy somehow... I have quite a beast as a laptop ( i7-1255U 10 cores, 32gb Ram, SSD 2TB) and I'm still getting CPU overload when using couple instances for this M4L Plugin... Any advice ?
'envelope follower' mapped to shaper's 'depth' parameter will do it. Or use 'envelope', which s basically the same thing as 'shaper' but triggered by midi note
So sick!
I like the Ableton skins gorgeous.
How and What do you do in order to customize the colors of Ableton? Nice video!
Up!

@@zugrath16 Thank you!
@@randomhunter8593 No problem! :)
Good examples! Also cool groove.
Excellent Tutorial Josh!
This is how tutorials should be, simple and straight to the point! Cheers!! Not gonna sleep on the shaper any more :D
Thanks brother. Well explained as usual.
Nice, thank you!
Thank you too!
Very nice!! but where can i find a link that gets me to this max for live device?
Such an amazing plugin! What template for Ableton are you using btw?
Very useful video bro thank you
Good ! Thank you for your video.

Same, I just can't use them reliably.

pro tip: empty fx chain for volume automation an mapping and stuff so stereo info doesnt get messed w by utility
Excelente.

Its like a mappable Gatekeeper
it's kind of like a bunch of different plugins ... :)
Is there a version of this that can be midi triggered rather than LFO?
Update : I found one called Lilmidienvy for Max, but it's a bit clunky. Still looking for a better solution
@@djvoid1 There is one called Midi Shaper by ndivuyo (on the Max website). It's identical to this shaper but for midi
@@zugrath16 Nice one! I'll give it a try
@@djvoid1 LFO tool...
its $50 though
Where is the random button, is not able in 12 version?
Is there a way to erase a point? I added too many points and now I'm stuck the only thing u can erase is the whole picture and start from scratch
fireeeeeeee
if they added a sidechain toggle to it, i'd use it

Does anyone know of an alternative solution to adding an envelope to a sample?
where do i get the shaper max for live device?
ok it's not in the max for live folder ....you find it at audio effects - modulators
isn't this literally the same as the lfo midi maxforlive device or do i oversea something ? thanks for the video.
Don’t think you can draw curves with the lfo tool. This would be more similar to What Serum allows you to do.
how can i get that theme or skin ???
Get 2 Free Plugins (Trash 2 by iZotope & Carbon by UJAM) ___ bit.ly/3lDMqkO
I'm so glad I did not buy shaper box
