It would be nice if the COLA increase was equal to the inflation increase, and add enough to cover the increase in Medicare. Our raise doesn't mean much when they take a substantial amount back to cover the Medicare premium increase. One year I actually went in the hole after the pay raise and the raise in the Medicare premium.
Its ok to cut the Medicare premium?
This depends on your benefit some get $1800 a month now put a 2.6% increase to it..that’s the difference and say you hey take 10 for Medicare they will still see about a $35 raise.. now $35 is more then some on this platform get in food assistance…. Some survivors get higher benefits that don’t qualify for welfare assistance…..
They have a law called (Hold Harmless) which prevents you from getting less.
We get a check on the third of every month unless it falls on a weekend, holiday then we get it early. Birthdate the 14th.

October the government announces when cola is before that it's speculation. We get enough speculation constantly from the lawmakers

Yes it does work that way unless you were collecting before 1993 or live outside the Country.

I get my SSI on 1st of month and my SSD on 3rd of month but still no extra that been talked about so what's going on with that are we or are we not getting any extra help to caught us senior citizens going to get help that are suffering from all this pandemic and inflation dang we need help I live in Iowa

Agreed, having a good financial advisor is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and has just yielded 120% from early last year. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year.

The COLA is probably going to be very low. Will it be enough to cover the part B Medicare increase? It barely was last year, which meant basically no increase at all. Inflation is really hurting us. Our expenses are up not down.

Do you know why I have been receiving my Social Security retirement check a few days early the last few months? It’s also happened with my federal pension. My wife and I are scheduled to receive our checks on the fourth Wednesday, but have received them either the Friday before or that Monday.
I see nothing of a so-called "new update" on when I get my SS, the layout for me has been this way ever since I've been collecting for 4 years now, and has never been any different for any month!...not sure what I missed...

You got a check for July. There is no raise until the COLA is announced in mid October Payable the following January.
We the people know what day we get our social security we're not freaking children unlicke our wonderful president which is a disaster for this great country!
