I'm using a Nikon ED82 with 30X WF and its just incredible. Before I had a clue I always went for zoom lenses but the zoom darkens and plus you need a very good tripod to be able to use at full power. 30x covers 90% of my needs and the wide field of view is lucious
Many thanks for this review, I've ordered a CTC 30x75 on the back of it when I had been considering the Zeiss option. In the review you really make the different strengths and weaknesses apparent and my main concern about the CTC was the fact it wasn't water-proof, but it sounds like you've put it through tests I don't intend to! Thanks again, Paul.
Thanks for posting !
Many thanks for this video it helped me much more than prospects and other articles.
Un magnífico artículo que me hace inclinarme definitivamente por el Swarovski.
Muchas gracias.
Thanks Paul :) that's exactly what I'm aiming to do. They are all good products and reviews that go "they all live up to their excellent reputation" are no good to anyone! More detail and comparison is needed and I'm glad you found that of use here. Cheers, Richard :)
Great review. You made clear distinctions between the scopes and, for me anyway, had be realize that I simply do not need to zoom up to 60x! I think that high zoom option is a big selling point, however, for many manufacturers. Hence, guys like me who are looking at a hunting or range scope are led to think we NEED that ability to zoom to 60. Yet optical quality or atmospheric conditions might totally negate what we are looking for. My astronomical scope is typically used with 20x! Hence...
First off through the muddy puddle, than a nice gun-oil treatment....after that, I guess the cup of tea was well deserved.
thank you for the video. I just want to choose the spotter scope for bullet flying observation for long range. That scope must be not so expensive but compact and have quality lenses and light transmission.
Conclusions from about 9:00 onwards
lol good stuff mate. If it fulfills your needs I'm pleased for you
I assure you that you need premium kit, especially optics, to get the job done when you start pushing the margins: distance, weather, etc
I used to run a cheap spotter but it fogged up on a difficult, cold and wet winter day. I threw it into a hedge and called Swarovski and Zeiss....
hello , it deserve its price ?? and what about the clearity at 45 magnhfication? thank you
Richard Utting what brand is that big pan handle on the CTC Swarovski? I like to get me one. Thank you!
