I have played it for over 45 hours and its actually very good. It's a true Star Wars experience. The Acolyte killed Star Wars and the game is suffering from it.
I hate everything Star Wars... I was a little kid, in a theatre, back in 1977. And like all little kids at that time, I wanted to grow up to be a Jedi. Screw you Lucas, for giving us impossible to achieve dreams!!! No, not impossible, I just need to focus! There is no Try... I hope the game is good, SW could use a win. I'm sure the developers are doing everything they can to achieve this, with... "The power of one," "The power of two," "The power of many." We're so screwed...

You know what this hatred reminds me of? The extreme hate Laura Bailey received for voicing Abby in The Last Of Us Part 2.. Certain gamers have issues distinguishing fiction from reality and also feel self entitled.. So much so that they thought that showing up at Laura Bailey's home with firearms and yelling death threats was acceptable... I feel that if you feel the need to get that angry over a piece of interactive fiction.. It is time to drop that game controller and start focusing on reality.
I'm not a fan of such material on a leading adventure game portal. I think that more and more games, probably half of all titles, are now classified as adventure games and this is to the detriment of the genre, which is losing its identity.
@@vicek83 I’m sorry to hear that. While we focus on the “classic” adventure we also try to satisfy all adventurers, so long as the game doesn’t stray too far outside the fundamental boundaries of adventure (exploration, story). That’s just a small percentage of 🙂
@@AdventureGameHotspot puzzle solving is the main game mechanic of adventure games IMHO, and decidedly not shooting and punching. I see a lot of shooting and punching in thise vid, looks to be an action game....

@@AdventureGameHotspot Most modern games involve story and exploration: almost all RPGs, souls-likes, action adventures, FPSs, survival horrors, etc. You forgot about an important gameplay condition that this game simply does not meet: puzzles and intellectual challenges should dominate over arcade elements, combats, etc.

I agree with you, but it doesn't stop people from seeing these prerelease parties as somewhat of a bribe, even if it isn't the case. I think all youtubers have a vested interest in being honest with their audience, because if they aren't, that audience is going to find a youtuber who is. I think another thing is that there has yet to be a bad star wars game. If we look at what happened with Battlefront 2 and their terrible microtransactions, Disney forced them to change it because it seems Disney wants the best reputation for star wars games possible. I think it is more likely this game is going to be at least a solid 7 out of 10 given the track record of Star Wars games and Disney's overseeing of them. I would rather talk about very uncomfortable subjects with my mother than mess up a multimillion dollar deal with Disney.

Always baffles me how there are double standards. Fromsoft did this for Elden Ring DLC; bunch of predominantly souls streamers were invited somewhere to team up and do some challenges on stream to tease the release. Like your title says; strange how people dislike something before it's out. I'm optimistically curious about it. Hope it turns out good but need to know more.

They care that hollywood and creative entertainment now make strong females like strong men. In this case, they also have a poor excuse on her graphics. I really do not remember the game having a female lead being the issue. Modern entertainment does not understand what female strength is. To be honest a lot of guys don't. So. Lol. That is the major complaint. I am sure people can dig up somebody complaining about the lead being female but that would just be a few as with any topic. I respect your channel btw. We're upset because the potential they had to make a really really Good game, and instead of using constructive criticism they turned on everyone calling them haters, racist, white toxic players bigots and when you talk to people like that who pay your wages to make good games, guess what! All of a sudden we don't want to pay your wages anymore
I feel like a lot of the video game hate is just a lot of emotion from not having the life they thought they would have. Who cares how good a game is. It’s all just fun. If you’re not having fun just ignore it. There’s a lot of other cool stuff
Looks terrible, like every other thing Star Wars since KK took over and made the force female and woke. Main character such a girl boss that simply barely slapping a storm trooper on their armored helmet is enough to completely incapacitate them.
I think it looks really fun! And the negativity for the sake of negativity needs to go the way of the Dodo. It also isn't unethical to invite people to see gameplay footage and treat them to fun. They were still able to put out their opinion. I think it's sour grapes jealousy lol

Between it being ubisoft and it being star wars, and just the fact its not an adventure game and ts made in this decade, I have no doubt I wouldn't like playing it at all, but honestly how can people get this negatively invested in a rnd product in a crowded market is rather beyond me.

You could argue the stability I’m them has been slipping since the Prequels (when “fans” all but bullying child actor Jake Lloyd out of acting) or were so mean to Ahmed Best (who played Jar Jar) he contemplated ending his life. But that is almost tame to,how current fans are that are in a mad, blind, rage lust over ANYTHING that is Starwars because it’s not “their” Starwars. It vile and unhinged and honestly crazy people are spreading this much mass hate over fictional characters. The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic sadly have their incel acolytes (no pun intended) and rage bait Star Wars content seems to do well on UA-cam.
Internet has a hate train fueled zeitgeist. Ubisoft is hated. Ubisoft has scummy practices. Graphics and animations aren't next gen. These things combined compel the internet to decide the game is crap before trying it. It's the IN thing to hate right now.
The source behind those that hate on it stems from the belief that Disney is pushing an agenda. In reality, Star Wars needs well written female characters. Personally, I prefer to have a character creator.

I'm pretty excited about it. That sarlac pit mission demoed did seem a little lacking, but I'm still looking forward to it.
