Language is expression of thoughts of humanity. A tool of
communication. Thought is abstract, formless. An experience.
Needed expression for communication. Started with sounds, gestures.
signs, symbols and also developed a body
language. Need to share experiences increased. Sounds were just a
noise. Trimmed with mutually understandable specific forms and
patterns, a language took shape. Sounds were limited to mouth and
ears of direct understanding. Signs and symbols of shapes and designs
emerged on available resources. Gained wider fields. Traceable origin
of a script. Thought developed gradually to shape a language of
communication. Thought is older than language. Not accessible to
excavation because of abstractness. Carbon dating is not useful.
Meaningless noise cultured and shaped to a language. Uttered and
heard. Understood, memorised and repeated to another. Accumulated and
treasured in memory. Invisible intelligence and energy emerged as
wisdom to reveal existence and creation. Earth was believed
to be flat till realty revealed it to be a globe. Mythology had
described and pictured to be like a ball on the horn of Varaha, an
Avatar, not accessible to excavation.
Memory of one after another, generation to generation stored the
findings to be recorded as script on paper with pen. Comforts and
conveniences to increase and develop ease of living followed many
patterns in different societies as civilization. The school of
thoughts chose different directions. Comforts of body though an
elementary necessiity was not the goal and end of all to the much
sought after happiness. Happiness was an unchangeable balanced mind
devoid of all disturbances. A realty beyond body and mind could
reach. Language termed it as philosophy, a process of analysis to
attain perfection of zero defect, much more than civilization.
Excavations can go upto civilization and that is its limitation. A
tool of measurement of comforts of living man has created for
himself. Thought has crossed this line of limitation. Experienced
something beyond life. A sense of incompleteness. Feeling of a
dropout from a wholeness to which he belongs. A guilt of separateness
urging a strong craving of uniting with his original source of
existence. What excavations cannot reveal, thoughts can. They are
accessible in a language. Sanskrit is more eloquent in this talent.
Its power may not be what it has added to its age. How rich is in its
treasures is the challenge human thought has to explore. Love of truth
triumphs over expression where language is just a tool of assistance.
This could be a better way to civilize our inclinations. An
excavation of the self as the target of our love of our explorations.Language is expression of thoughts of humanity. A tool of
