Even without the events of 40 years ago, I think man would still be a creature that fears the dark. He doesn't face that fear, he averts his eyes from it and acts as if he never had any memories of his history. But, 40 years can be both a brief time and yet, a long time. Man's fear has withered. And even time tries to wither the desire to know the truth. Is it a crime to try and learn the truth? Is it a sin to search for those things which you fear. My purpose in this world is knowledge, and the dissemination of it. And it is I who is to restore the fruits of my labors to the entire world. Fear... It is something vital to us puny creatures. The instant man stop fearing is the instant the species will reach a dead end, only to sink to pitiable lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction. Wake up! Don't be afraid of knowledge! Humans who lose the capacity to think become creatures whose existence has no value. Think, you humans who are split into two worlds, unless you want the gulf between humans to expand into oblivion, you must think! Signed, Schwarzwald.
***** : Season 3 is just a chimera. No one that matters is really interested to it. This anime is a cult but overall did poor numbers. And the ending was so cryptic that we don't ever know if in the new Paradigm created the bigs still exist.
RavenTravelStudios Also, Season 2 was a bit of a disappointment (to me). Too many changes... the animation was less batman-noir, the pace was more rushed, most of the piano pieces like "Apostle" was gone, and the plot was way too linear. It is like they created a show (Season 2) loosely based on the events of Season 1.
RavenTravelStudios My theory on the Big O ending is that thanks to Rodger's speech, instead of Angel taking the memories away which she was intended to do as Big Venus, she lets the people keep their memories.
THANK YOU for that! That ending was killing me, as one of the few series I give a damn about that televised ending was like a thorn in my brain. I even googled 'explanation' sites/articles to get an idea what it all meant, even thought the whole story is still a little confusing (like, the scene towards the end where it shows 'Rogers' coming off the assembly line) the article link you posted shines light on a lot and I also like to say that I would have liked to have seen THAT ending the the writer originally intended.
I've lived my life as a newspaper reporter. I uncover the truth and write my articles. But then I learned, all too well, that a mere reporter like myself can't ever get to the truth in this city... it's nearly impossible. And it's unsure! No one here is even interested in learning the truth - a truth that must be known. But I want to know! I want to learn what must be known! Schwarzwald
Nolan Snape Wow... this phrase is so relevant more to real life especially now. So many news outlets are puppets to political sides that they only show people what agrees with what those in power want, rather than what is true regardless of what anyone believes
"You! You possess the foolishness of BOTH man and machine. It chooses one who controls the power of God created by Man, one who is able to arrive at one truth. That's not the case with you!"
Schwarzwald one of the best Villian's of TV, his one & only plan was to tell the truth to the world and here's the funny part about it his was the only one that worked without a hitch....
Dave Webster from my understanding, Kobe-San debuted in 96-97(?) and stoning was used by the makers. Big O came out around 99. So... I’m guessing it’s an original that was licensed to use by both companies
@@nilesurianger7812 that's the most reasonable assumption. I was just hoping it tied back to a certain composer i could look up to find some of their other songs since i like this one so much.
This theme I've heard from two shows featuring two personas on television: Iron Chef has the Prince of Pasta - the late great Masahiko Kobe And Big O brought me the Man in Black - Roger Smith the Negotiator
The mummy that learned to fly comes swooping down to harass the Negotiator who waits on the ground below... But he must be weary, for the false sky will be his undoing!
I didn't realize half of Big Duo's face was actually meant to be black, not merely always in intense, ominous shadows, for over 20 years. How did I mess that up?

Now, the Truth has been seen by the masses and the delusions choking us to death are being combated instead of embraced! 🇺🇲
This is still sounds both beautiful and epic even after all these years.
I just can't realize that this anime got no season 3. This is one of the most amazing series i've ever seen, and i've seen hundreds of series.
