So, if The Trooper by Metallica got an "yeah" instead of "oh ooooh oooooooh", The Trooper by Dio would have a "lookout" and The Trooper by Celtic Frost would have an "UGH"?
I lost it when he went "yea yea yea yea" I was thinking to myself "good cover so far, but not enough "yeas" to be in the style of Metallica" and he totally redeemed himself!
I would argue Run Silent Run Deep would translate better to Metallica's sound Aces High would be a good one to try with a Motorhead sound though I'll bet
Beautiful! Love it more than Iron Maiden's original! While I definitely hear 90's Metallica, I can't help but hear some Ride the Lightning in the guitar harmonies, which makes sense considering the harmonies in Maiden's sound. Also hear a bit of a 90's Dave Mustaine inflection in your vocals sometimes too, don't know if it's intentional but a nice touch nonetheless! 🤘
When played at normal speed, it's The Black Album era. I tried playing it at 1.5x, it's from the somewhere between Kill 'Em all and ...And Justice For All era.
Love the creativity and the 'what if' factor.. some very good sounding music has come from this. That being said.. with the prevalence of AI nowadays I am forced to wonder.. regarding the vocals.. (I realize you are actually singing the vocals) but the mimicry of the actual voice of these artists.. is that actually 'your' voice mimicking them or is it your voice being run through a voiceset filter from some, many, or all of the artists? I am only curious because of how frequently this is being done nowadays. I also must reiterate that I believe it is 'you' actually singing.. but is that your actual voice? (No hate if not.. because I realize that not all voices can be the same.. and not all can be done by any specific individual)
Everything you hear on my channel is performed by me, without using filters, AI, or some other stuff, just regular effects like EQ, compression, reverb...
@@DenisPauna Cool enough. I was not questioning performance just 'impersonation' of the voice. If that is you directly then cool ;) Much talent to be able to do so many voices. Not everyone can.
Thankfully, while A.I (machine learning) can create approximations by itself, it isn’t used too much for changing human singing voices (yet). There are common filters used for singing and speaking obviously, they’re just not A.I based. There’s been some use in large-scale projects, like Star Wars, any modern use of Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader is entirely A.I based. A.I is unfortunately becoming more industry standard in every artistic field, which is a crying shame, I personally hate it and refuse to use any of it. For music, right now, there’s been a big push toward A.I EQ, Mixing, Mastering, etc. Vocal changing, not so much. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen, just isn’t a big thing yet. I imagine that will be a legal gray area, when it does happen, essentially taking someone’s “vocal likeness” if such a thing can be taken. The fact that we’re at a point where you even had to question whether or not he was using A.I anywhere in the performance says a lot. Strange times.
@@Kerunou I fully agree. I have been watching vocal analysis by Wings of Pegasus (regarding miming at supposedly live performances) and how pitch correction, autotune, compression, etc affect the sounds heard. Then there was the whole 'Plankton sings' series of videos where they used a soundset from Plankton and applied it to various songs. Then I saw a video of a guy who does AI covers where it is his actual singing.. but he applies the voiceset to his singing to make it sound like the actual artist being covered sang the song. His video where he showed the process was shown to lawmakers in congress not too long ago. Then I heard the song "I hate AI" which is an AI song using Ozzy Osbourne's voiceset. I was not questioning Dennis's talent in any way.. was just honestly curious if any of those things or similar were applied to any of his 'what if' scenarios. No hate or offense was intended.
@DenisPauna Another brilliant track! I have a request: The 1950s oldies version of the whole Guns 'N Roses Appetite for Destruction Album. Like what you did with the ZZ Top version of the Kill 'em All album. Or maybe start with Welcome to the Jungle. Then do the whole album.
Think I still prefer Maiden’s version of this song, maybe because that’s what I’m used to, the “burden of proof” is always on the remake but this is a good version, too!
Considering that Metallica's success was ultimately rooted in their '80s thrash output, this would have been more enjoyable in the style that put them on the map. Without the 1980s, anything they have done afterwards would not have been near as popular.
This is exactly why I am a Maiden fan and no Metallica fan. Original version driving and motivating and Metallica version lame, boring, background music like, good for falling asleep. Great work Denis
It's a good redendition, but wouldn't Metallica just cover this song in It's original version or make they're version faster and heavier? But then again, if you listen to it from the perspective of modern day Metallica
Sounds l8ke that new Metallica crap. You know, that mid life crisis crap they embarrassingly put their name on now. 😂😂😂. The black album was the end of the Metallica that made them who they were.
This barely sounds anything like thrash Metallica or the Trooper, sounds maybe a bit like Danny Trejo singing a weaker version of Enter Sandman lol. Not bad though I guess Haha.

So, if The Trooper by Metallica got an "yeah" instead of "oh ooooh oooooooh", The Trooper by Dio would have a "lookout" and The Trooper by Celtic Frost would have an "UGH"?
i guess that The Trooper by Rage Against The Machine had "UGH!!!"
That metal math checks out.
😁
Wouldn't Dio sing about rainbows?
I lost it when he went "yea yea yea yea" I was thinking to myself "good cover so far, but not enough "yeas" to be in the style of Metallica" and he totally redeemed himself!
I want a full album of what if Metallica wrote Iron Maiden songs!!!
This was awesome, dude, now we need covers for Wasted Years and Aces High!

aces high would be absolute peak i love that song
Fear of the Dark

You captured the Metallica's sound . Well done, again.
Yes wonderful
Yes, he perfectly made a Load/Reload sound. Boring to die exactly as much Metallica were in those albums heheh
It's absolutely crazy how close you get to the vocalists' voices. Great fucking job again, Denis!
Would love a maiden cover in the Metallica's thrash style
Metallica covered “remember tomorrow” - it’s dope!
@killians202 but that was years after their thrash era
Exactly!
I think he chose the wrong era of Metallica lol
This is more Load/Reload era. Needs speed
@@theparanoidmetalshow741 Play it at 1.25x speed.
I think The Ecstasy of Gold as played by Metallica perfectly depicts that Maiden Metallica concept.
Iron Maiden - good, Metallica - good, The Trooper - good, You putting them all together - gooder!
*total Load/Reload vibes, so nice \m/*
And yet again another priceless gem great job on this one omg
Sounds more like something straight off of Countdown To Extinction, haha. Still awesome though!
Didn't think of it, but it sure doesn't sound like Metallica.
@@FosterTravis1071 put james voice and you will listen metallica
Speed 1,25 => yes baby

Bravo Denis, super cover, vraiment dans le style de Metallica.

Say what?
Given the galloping speed of The Trooper, I like to see and thought of this being thrashy, maybe around their Puppets era.
Great work as usual, person pref is the original
Iron Reload ) Amazing
I was thinking the same thing, has a Load/Reload vibe.
If Denis would do Load and Reload Iron Maiden style, they would actually be good(metal)albums
Its not a cover. Its another Song.
LOVE IT!
sung like a hetfiel-DAH!
I was wondering how that iconic opening was going to sound.
Answer: Good, real good. 🤘🏾
Master of Puppets by Iron Maiden
Sheer genius as usual from re-creative rock’s greatest talent!
Make this a whole album please
Awesome reimagining!
great video !! add more bass guitar to piss off lars !!!
There's already too much bass for a Metallica track 😄
Simply amazing!
Alice in chains does Blind in Texas by WASP
Awesome! Something around black/load/reloadish sound right?
When played at normal speed, it's The Black Album era. I tried playing it at 1.5x, it's from the somewhere between Kill 'Em all and ...And Justice For All era.
nice!
O please do Iron Maidens Fear of the dark in the Style of Megadeth.
Sounds great. (Think I'm used to the tempo of Maiden so at 1.5x sounds "chefs kiss")
this is like if the trooper was on load.. could you do the trooper if it was on Justice/Puppets please!
I was hoping for something more Battery tempo, but this will do. 😁
Excellent!
I knew what to expect for the chorus but still laughed out loud in the middle of the street.
