On a quiet evening this week I recorded the establishment of the new east side car park, completion of the work on the new footbridge and lifts and final workings on the road access to the station. Final clip is the "Tower Gateway Railtour" speeding through the station in March 2014

Just the thought of a wretched Pacer trying to negotiate those curves leading into the depot makes my teeth jangle! Good job they've been confined to history.
It'll be all systems go soon for this rail megaproject.

And despite the claims the electifation from Cardiff to Pontypridd is not complete. The masts in the cess at Maindy were taken away but now they are clearing the embankment ready to put up ganties. It seems to be as funds permit.

that depot is taking a long long time !! The trains are going to be too old soon .. and taken out of service

They built this just recently and a train ain't gonna go out of service after 1 year
