A cool little-known-fact about the difficulty system in deadlocked. New game Hero is significantly more difficult than Exterminator, due to the fact that enemies on exterminator deal a flat percentage of your health no matter the nanotech, but enemies on Hero deal flat damage + a lower percentage on your health. An example of this being that Exterminator enemies always deal about 1/5th of your health in damage, whereas enemies can take 70% of your HP away in one hit in new game Hero.

12:25 If I had to hazard a guess, there's a few frames while the game's swapping your weapon out where your other commands are unlocked, so doing the input there is enough to trigger a swing, but everything's locked again by the time the first swing is done. So not helpful, but a possible explanation. I love these challenges, cheese and all. Great work!
looks like it, since it happened just as the weapon was switching. I wonder if you could quick change into an "illegal" weapon and fire it once in that timeframe. like having the Harbinger as last weapon before starting the mission, and quick switching to it before vulcan cannon gets switched.
So in other words its comparable to the Infinite Knuckles Jump from Sonic Boom.

I love how there's apparently gonna be some Rock Paper Scissors going on in the Patron list for the next episode, on top of all the amazing of the episode itself... Also, I always enjoy hearing "Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal" every episode of VG Myths I catch.

I’m always hype af when these things drop. The wrench only videos are some of my faves just because just like sly cooper and ape escape the game is just riddled with exploits

-Beat this mode with only an CP helper. You just have to exist and eat no power-ups (Unless to summon the helper).
The Great Cave Offensive:
-Beat this mode with 0 gold.
Revenge of Meta Knight:
-Once you have the earliest option to use the sword ability, you must stick with that through the entire journey. Not including the escape scene.
Milky Way Wishes:
-Beat this mode without collecting a single ability; not even Tac.
THE ARENA:
-Beat this with only the helper Parasol Waddle Dee (computer), AND Kirby can't take any damage.
Gourmet races second one cant happen it's based on how much you eat and when one crosses the finish line first it stops and counts the food then

Ok, have an idea for VG Myths, can you beat SWJ:FO without a lightsaber on the hardest difficulty? I did this for a few days, with some friends emotional support, and completed it, thought it was hell, and we love VG Myths, so why not?

Oh man, what a blast from the past! I had completely forgotten about Merc and Green over the years that passed since I played this game, but the frame they showed up on screen it was just like, "My buddies!" I loved these two. My favorite AI teammates in gaming.
How does gamechamp say some of these patreon names without busting out laughing? I swear, they actually made me stick around until the end of the episode to see all of them. I'm very invested in the game of rock paper scissors now
12:20 the glitch here seems to the result of switching round/weapons. after the last enemy is killed, the game switches your weapon to another one, as an result of clearing the round.
the result is that you have a brief moment in this transition period where you can access your complete arsenal, but this isn't a viable strategy, since it's in between rounds, and only when you switch weapons, meaning you have literally only one strike every time you switch weapons. if you could forcefully make your weapons switch, this would be a viable strat, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Ah, I remember playing the shit out of Deadlocked when I was younger. Was the only game I owned with split screen co-op, so it was the default choice when a friend was over.

Lmao this one of my favourite singe player games/game series of all time.
Fun fact: A lot of Old School RuneScape's bosses are also a completely different monster on each phase just like Shellshock's and for some bosses, they're actually just game objects with an invisible NPC in the same position.
this one is like knives out where we know who dun it in the first scene and still ends up being a hilarious and enjoyable (maybe not to you; 15 hours?!) experience haha love your content

This was my favorite in the series. I actually like the story of this one better than the first two, with the kidnapped heroes turning evil out of necessity being an interesting idea.
Edit: I never even found out what the Ravager did in my playthrough. Waiting for it to charge was never as good as just killing everything, even on Exterminator mode.
I desperately want a remake of this game. It was so fun, especially since I played it all the time with my older brother when we were younger.
Gamechamp may be the first and maybe only gamer who's got lore in the backer shoutout section of the video.
It's a shame you can't even start this challenge without failure but the instant fail is always hilarious to me.

It's also accurate. Deadlocked is controversial in a sense that it's seen as "spinoff" or otherwise not the part of the original trilogy by fans.
It is however the most successful R&C game to capture the true purpose of the series. It's the best representative of the group that doesn't want to admit it belongs in it.

That is definitely of a result of the game still running during the death fade-out. Something similar happenes in goldeneye 007 frigate speedruns.
I tried a wrench only fight against ace hardlight when i was a kid, super exciting to see you extend the challenge even further!
This game was my childhood, it was first game I played on the ps2. Had like 700 hours in this game since I could not afford any other. It made playing first 2 games more fun when I got it later
Rarely do I click on notifications faster. Also, I really do love how in That One Mission you can _hear_ her (yes, her) lose all sanity she might have once had.
