The only time I saw my dad cry was when I asked him if he wished his dad was still alive to see how successful he had become. There is a powerful bond between a father and son and it was emotional for me to watch this video.

These episodes are really good, and we appreciate the work gone into it. What some people don't understand is this isn't just about the car, but the owners and the lifestyle in general. Why that's so confusing to some of you, I just don't understand. Maybe you're just fronting a tough-guy persona, pretend you're too cool for real talk, but you're not fooling anyone.
Those of us who enjoy this series, are people who can appreciate life and the things involved, and what it takes to pursue our passion for cars, no matter what they may be. As adults, we aren't afraid to shed a tear, we understand that's part of life, we're all going head first through this world, scared of the future, scared of losing family and friends, scared of death. You get to a point where you don't care about appearing macho and 'cool', because you realize we're all in the same boat with the way we feel.

I just bought an 89 Lincoln. I am also a young white dude(18). I get some weird looks, but always from younger people. The main thing I love about the car is the conversations I have with the older guys about it.

That Lincoln (Las Vegas) and Riviera brought back memories of my early teen years. I used to ask my parents to drive me to a bookstore across town to check and see if the latest copy of Lowrider was out. Gracing the covers, I'd see these famous cars and dream about a '63 Impala SS (My Fav). To be here and still appreciate Lowriders in 2019 and to be able to see the faces and stories behind the cars is all a gift. Thanks!

There's something so special about the car community that just amazes me. No matter what your taste or your preference may be, everyone who see's a car beyond a use of A to B transportation, has their self embodied in that car. Every different community and every club has such a unique culture in of it's self. I just love hearing these stories of how a vehicle is such a large impact on one's life. I can really relate to Joe, this goes to show what car's are all about. How your project is an extension of your personality. Although I may not be a fan of hydraulics myself. The attention to detail, the craftsmanship in this community just amazes me. This isn't something that can just be built in any shop. The best builds in my opinion are when that personal vehicle has it's own impact on yourself. And it is really present here. I'm rectally new into this scene but this 68 impala that I've been cursed by, has actually helped ME throughout my life more than I've realized. I'm just glad that there is a community where there's an escape from the world, where segregation of race, politics, or religion doesn't exist. Where nothing matters but appreciating one another's art.

Never forget where you come from. Seeing people like you who have made their dream is what keeps me going every day. I hope to live my dream someday too. You have made some beautiful cars and I look up to you. God bless.

Joe, I walked the same path that you did. My parents were also disappointed that I didn't make something of myself. I told my mom before she died, if I did mom, I wouldn't be here to help take care of you. After my mom passed I wrote in the card I got for my dad for Fathers Day, "Imitation is the best form of admiration."

as a kid I cut the door handles off model cars with a razor blade then used sand paper to finish them up
I removed the door handles on my first car, a '63 Impala.
I wasn't swimming in $ at the time so I had a hidden switch outside to let me lower the electric window then just reached in and opened the door.
Didn't have access to a torch so I used window screen and Bondo to fill the holes - it worked and looked good
A bit latter when $ started rolling in I put in starter solenoids.
that was 100 years ago this summer Ha Ha Ha
