My wife is from the Philippines, and they're very poor and considered a 3rd world country. We met in South Korea when I was stationed there . When she came to America, I explained the welfare and EBT programs to her. When we were in line at the store, I would point out the EBT card to her when someone was using one. After about 10 times of her seeing someone using an EBT card, she said, " America has the fattest poor people she's ever seen"! I agreed with her. 1st world problems and ungrateful people They don't know how good they have it and don't know what poverty really is.

I visited the U.S. from the UK last year.
I was in the mid-west, the heartlands and I have never met a more welcoming, kind, calm and generous people in all my 50 years.
The level of freedom and openess there puts the once Great Britain to shame.
We used to have freedom and free speech in the UK, we don't any longer.
The U.S. does, especially in the mid-west where the population are very free and are treated as adults by the state.
I will be moving there in the next couple of years, the U.K. is lost.

The difference is that she's not doing it to dodge anything. She's doing it to be able to say what she wants to say. When the Left does this, it's to dodge or evade questions or to try to bury the other person under their yelling. She did interrupt him, but did she do it because she wanted him to shut up or she did it because she wanted to say her point? I think that's an important distinction to make. Once she said what she had to say, did she continued to yell over him? No. That's the difference.

I loved psychology, but it’s crazy how many students take a couple of classes and think they’re experts on a topic.
Just saying, on the topic I rather live for now in my small poor Croatia, even we dont have any more sovereignty (USA and EU and WEF etc trough globalism and NATO etc), even ideology virus spreading over the ocean, but for now we are still holding. So I am not saying USA not have something good, but USA is now losing that, it is in danger, and in wrong hands, and not only USA, whole world is in danger.

Almost all our problems in the US are due to excess not lack. It's literally our privilege that makes some people unhappy. Obesity = too much food, drugs = too much time and money, laziness = too much privilege, etc., etc., etc.

I got a psychology degree in college too. Happiness is measured via self-reported questionnaires. It’s definitely worth something, but hardly an objective metric as he makes it sound.
I always tell people rather than trying to be "happy", try not to be unhappy. I will settle for being content without being too complacent.

The thing about happiness is that some people are happy while being poor because they don't have to worry about much. In a country like ours we can look around and see others better off than we are and consequently feel bad about it.

The best way to put it as I hate the government but love the country! Scotland, ireland, New Zealand , Switzerland in Sweden which I have been to all and own a home in Switzerland. We need to put the pledge back in schools, and teach our kids pride in this country. I have a unique perspective, my family history is intertwined with American history and I was taught it.
America is the greatest Country in the world, in principle. However, we are currently not living up to those standards set for us by our Founding Fathers.
The reality is, we are a nation in trouble and a nation in decline. But even with all of our issues and flaws, we still have that potential for greatness and we WILL make America great again! 🎇 🦅 🗽 🇺🇸

I have to admit I was pretty annoyed by Candace and Charlie at the beginning. I get what they are trying to defend, but to unequivocally say "America is the greatest country in the world" is debatable to say the least. At the same time, the annoying student was saying something to about happines and that not everything can be measured in money. Yes, America is the greatest superpower and if you want to earn your fortune, this is the place to go. I live in Europe. In Croatia to be exact. We are small, economically not so stable country, but people here are mostly very, very happy. And there are numerous counties in the world where people are happy, healthy, where there is no transgender bullshit and other woke stuff... I mean, to say that America is basically the best county ever.. I think that is highly narcissistic.
You can claim that Croatia is the greatest country in the world once more than a two people who don’t currently live there, say that they hope to live there at some point in their life.

We have problems just like anybody else, but a lot of people don't realize just good we have it here until they leave the country. A lot of countries prey on American Tourists. You can come here from any country without worrying about getting kidnapped. That is one of the biggest down sides to being American and going to another country.
