- In this upload, I’m out with Jason and Bob looking for some good Indian cuisine. I think we might have just found it here at “THE NEW BUKHARA'S INDIAN RESTAURANT” Located close to Nana BTS station on Sukhumvit road, Bangkok, Thailand.

Thanks lads top video can’t wait for episode 2
Great video! I'm going to try this place soon on the strength of it, good job!
That was a nice, nice restaurant review. I like the name of the restaurant, as it reminds me of my favorite in New Delhi, the Bukhara (was in the Sheraton Hotel, but hotel renamed) -- fantastic north Indian cuisine with a half dozen tandoori ovens going in the rear of the restaurant in full view of the diners. Always went with at least 8 of us so could do a lot of dishes, and get a whole roast lamb leg from the tandoori oven. So the name Bukhara brings an instant smile to my face and was very glad this restaurant pleased all three of you happy gourmands. As an aside, my 2nd favorite in New Delhi was just down the road from the Bukhara's hotel; in the next hotel down the road (Taj Palace) was the Haandi restaurant - a different style of north Indian cuisine with excellent live music (raga style) and also excellent dining and service. I think they are both still there and recommend them highly. Nice to know of the Bukhara restaurant on Sukhumvit.
Nice to see you Peter. Keep exploring ThaiLand and letting us discover with you new awesome places.
Well done buddy

Thumbs up
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Food looked very nice - and I enjoyed the vibe between you Bob and Jason 👍 Will you ever find a curry hot enough for you Peter? haha. Im sure there's still plenty of curry restaurants to explore :)
That was great Peter !
A couple of great characters in the mix, funny lads 👍Love my India food so much !
A top vid mate !
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Peter 🎉 Appreciate The Pop Up Video 😂 Fantastic 🗽✌️💞🍀🙏😇🍻
wow that place looks very nice . foods looks good and nice service
Good review. Love the man bag
Me too!
Yeah I’m like that at home with hats and phones, brought up that way…but hey bud it’s Thailand and you can throw your old ways away because most don’t care ! Sabai Sabai !
That’s what’s so good about Thai, relax and don’t stress, take it easy 😉😊
I love the fake designer clothes Mongers wear. It'd the monger symbol like the chang vest 😅
You must be some sort of an expert who can tell the difference between fake and real then but actually you're not that good at it because you can't recognize the real stuff
I do not think Bob is wearing a knock off. If my memory is right he has a Lambo in his garage in the UK
Will try this 😊
Looked delicious
I love that place! The butterchicken is my fav
Nice review Peter but made me hungry 😋
😁
One thing I do like in a curry house is mango chutney & mixed pickle not sure if any have this ?
Big up Pete, Jason, big up Bobby J, good ol London boyz. Looking forward to meeting up in Feb 2024, first round is on me! Bob lets talk supercars!! ;)
Yes, sure thing 👍🏻
Great video I stay in soi 11 when I’m in bkk and walked past this place many times and will definitely stop in next trip. I am sure I know the soi 11 restaurant you mentioned they used to sell alcohol but now don’t it’s rubbish food now used to be ok.
Rubbish and expensive I don't want to name the restaurant in Soi 11 I'm glad you probably know which one it is
Yep been there and confirm that the food is top notch and as good as you’d get in your local UK curry house👌🏻
My favorite place. Try Tandoori chicken and vegetable samosas. Papadorns and the sour cream dipping sauce first. Then foot massage, 11.1 Bo Pai on the right.
Bai Po,Soi 11.1??
@@drwangch you’re right! My mistake,,, got the Soi right any way,,,,
Hey - I've been looking for Peter's Dec 10, 2023 live.... does anybody know
if he did one ?
It wasn't alive on the 10th I sent a post out last week explaining that I am now putting out more videos but I'm reducing the lives to two days a month
I'm sensing this restaurant is going to see an upsurge in business now! As they should, delicious spots need to be rewarded while all the crap places need to go out of business. I will definitely pay a visit when I am in Bangkok early February. One thing I notice is Indian food a bit on expensive side compared to local Thai restaurants. I guess that makes sense since Indian restaurants need to import all their spices and other ingrediants for a proper Indian dish.
Hi Peter, we recommend Amritsra on Soi 22. Went there twice and loved it, bit higher end than some therefore a bit pricier. I think there is one on Soi 11 too but we did not get to that one.
I've only been to one Indian restaurant on Soi 11, the food was terrible and overpriced. I can't remember the name of it but will never go again
This is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in BKK, been there in that same location since the 1980's, they must be doing something right.
Been a couple of times and I found it spicier than UK equivalents, maybe it;s the dishes we ordered
Last time in Bangkok and I was craving a curry, I tried here and was very impressed!
Tandoori Smoke
509 Itsaraphap 5 Alley, Somdet Chao Phraya, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600, Thailand
Thanks for sharing!
Right! Solely because of Bob's recommendation, I'll give it a go tomorrow. If he's OK with it after eating curries in London, I'll have a go.
Thus far, I've been very disappointed with every curry I've tried in Thailand. I'll update my comment tomorrow.
M 😂
The Al Hussein on 3/1 is better and cheaper
@@ThailandBound OK, thanks Peter. But I won't eat two curries in one day 🤣. I'll try Al Hussein on Thursday. But 3/1, you're taking me outside my box lol. 4>Asok is my manor lol.
Cheers,
M
Great video, I've passed this restaurant many times, but my Thai gf doesn't like Indian food, and won't go in a single restaurant
Yes true most Thai girls don't like Indian food
Yes true most Thai girls don't like Indian food
My Thai gf is the same, Thai curry maybe, but the real deal, no chance
I miss Mali.
At least someone does, I guess.
The 33 degree was a punch under the belt...
?
As you like hot spicy food would you ever enter a chilli eating competition
No, I'm not that daft
Hey Peter, just wondering, with your appreciation of really spicy food, can you eat a papaya salad as the Thai's eat them. Man, those things are HOT.
Yes I can no problem but it's difficult to find one that doesn't put Garlic in it if you watch my channel regular you'll know I hate the smell of garlic but surprisingly love onions
Was in there last month , food looks nothing like we were served
In a good way or a bad way?
This was some years ago..but I had a very bad experience in this restaurant...the staff were rude..the lady in the counter (assume Indian owner) was rude.. I told my friends we pay the check and move out even before eating... cannot recall the quality of food as some time ago but still recall the rude experience there and never stepped in or looked after that experience as there are many choices around
Must have changed hands since then the staff were very polite and accommodating
No prices of foods
You can look at the prices before you enter the restaurant they have a menu outside I wanted to showcase the restaurant and the food
No disrespect Pete but pricing should be a part of any restaurant review. Still a great vid.
Maybe next time then
Start watching at 4:10 they have closeup of a few menu pages. Prices range from 300 - 500 baht from what I could see
I have walked past this place many times and thought maybe it was a bit of a tourist trap, I shall try it now based on this video. I get the Al Hussain is good but its a bit "basic" the outside seating area if you know what I mean - This place looks good! I thought at the beginning your friend was superimposed he would work well as one of those guys who stand really still in Covent Garden!
I still think the Al Hussein is much better value and the food is always there, ready and tasty. They have an inside area with air conditioning as well, if you don’t like sitting outside. I had the same meal in both places. It was 200 baht less in the Al Hussein.
I thought the best Indian restaurant was down soi 11
No it's absolutely not I've eaten there
@@ThailandBound was it little spicy 🌶
I'm not going to say the name of the restaurant because of the libelist laws here in Thailand they're very strict
This video is for mongers who can’t live on boom-boom alone!
Nothing like a decent Ruby Murray
