Today its time to fly out the VB.10C in a Realistic Battle. Flew out with the VB.10C-1 yesterday for the first time since release of 1.73, Vive la France. And found out exactly what this plane is about, lets see how it went. Hope you enjoy :)

I decided to skip the V.B.10C after about 3 flyouts, I'm glad to see that my decision was justified

I do OK in it as long as I keep my speed up and avoid being caught in low altitude/low energy vulnerable state.

Unlock both buckest but did not fly them, at the moment I just do not have nerves for paying as RP&SL pinata :-)

The French VB10 was a catastrophy and had to be terminated by the French very quickly, its actually very well represented in WT as it was back in the days, a lot of French protos were extremely promissing from a flight/manoeuvrabilty perspective such the VG or MB series, but the VB series wasn’t at all.
glad to hear they got it right on this plane ;) its a terrible experience ingame though, at the very minimum it needs an airspawn :)

So what strengths does the plane really have/how do you actually fight with it?
Sideclimb until you're sure you're the highest planes and then boom and run!
Jengar in other words, spend the first half the match climbing, the next minute diving; if you're lucky you get a kill and can make a getaway while your teammates keep enemies busy. Otherwise you die. Rinserepeat. This things awful to spade.
So French copy of Typhoon?
Nguyễn Hồng Hải but the typhoon would kick this things ass.
It's a shame it doesn't cut the mustard...It looked one of the more interesting planes when the patch was released.

I´ve spaded both VB´s in AB and wrote a commentary in the german Warthunder Forum. I described the FM of the VB´s as "Möbelwagen" (moving van). It´s intersting for me to learn that in RB the FM is more like a Bathtube ("Badewanne") ;-)

I once got shredded by this thing in my 109 (in my defense I was dueling with another fighter), cause I thought this was a bomber.

it really deserves it, i looked for a way to use this plane like i usually do, but i could not find it, other then that night maps help this plane ;)
Seems very 'delicate' for a heavy fighter. Give it an air spawn, buff the structural integrity and perhaps it will become a decent heavy fighter.

Another great video. I suspect this plane would probably be more like the XP-75 Eagle (which would be a great add) than the P-47 Thunderbolt. Large plane with heavy engine(s), heavy armament, but pretty fast and high red line.
XP-75 Eagle and xp-72 would be awesome but i guess they would be premium or limited availability like ki-94II

less compression too, more maneuverable, better on altitude, and so on ;)
plane is badly represented... IRL it flew 700kmh at 7000 M(the last one with the twin 1 150hp) . it was a high speed high altitude bomber and escort destroyer. it could also dive at 900+ kmh
they just made it a poor, heavy, slow dogfigther. it was the performance of that plane that kicked the french jet program into life

When I first faced the VB.10 I thought I was fighting an attacker :D This thing is more of a brick than the 190s

Makes me question if Gayjin actually thought of giving France a trying chance in Air. Most planes are either underperforming for their tier or straight up bad.
i heard they improved this since this review. would have to revisit.
Is the solution to that problem giving it an air spawn or taking away the airspawn for any non dedicated bomber or ground attacker? Personally the way I see it if a fighter that has horrendous climb rate and/or speed is forced to takeoff then why should the likes of aircraft like the p-47 or p-38 get an airspawn? I understand they are technically interceptors or attackers or whatever but if a plane can successfully outmanoeuvre a enemy plane through bnz or what not it should spawn on the ground, thoughts and opinions? I’d like to see if I’m the only one with this viewpoint
This plane is inferior to the p-47 in all ways and should quite simply get an airspawn or be 3.3-3.7 br. it wouldnt perform terrible well there either i want to bet ;)
The Mig 3 also appears to have an airspawn in realistic for no good reason.
Just unlocked this last night; can't wait to play it...
good luck! the airspawn will help a bit, but remember, its still a bathtub, be carefull with your energy!

That last Bf109 going after you and you knowing you have no resources, that's how I often feel while piloting way better planes lol This must really be a bad plane to make you look like me ahahaha When you get a 1/1 k/d ratio, it seems like I would break math and be able to get a negative one. Always enjoying to watch though.

Bloody HELL!! Is there anything good about it?!! If I were watching this video with the sound turned down and with no ingame HUD the plane would seem awkward, let alone with the sound up and the commentary!!! He!He!He!

Hey do a review on bf109 g2 trop? I have it but seem to do really bad in it I do well in other 109s but this one is different I guess?
i have a review up on it, not much has changed as to the way you should fly it, so still relevant.
Plane makes no sense. You'd think 2 engines cranking would at least give this plane some straight line speed.

This plane might be a lot better in arcade battle, just because of non-existing overheating. I don't quite understand that with 3000+bhp this plane still doesn't climb well. The French fighter overall (haven't got jet yet) for me is disappointing; mostly because of the rate of climb. They, almost all of them don't climb well, and I hate it, cuz I never be able to control the situation, and it get even worse in AB, since there is barely chance to side climb, and once French plane dive down, they couldn't really regain altitude easily. I thought VB.10s might be better with 1 extra engine and a lot power, but still they not promising at all.

thank you sir, and indeed the french planes often need extensive sideclimbing, this needs a lot of patience and the willingness to miss the first half of the battle, which can be frsutrating. i still like quite a few of them, not this one though ;)

So I finally bought and crewed this thing, and I was hopeful that your review was a bit harsh. well I can say now with certintaly, your review may have been too kind. this plain is more of a stock tank than a bath tub. I hate it so much. WHY does the fighter line have to suffer 2 of these things and the attack / navy line get all the good American plains. OH the horror.... The Humanity...

It looks like a P47 from the rear a bit. Especially once the hispanos run out and you're down to just the .50s

fly it in a squad only and have ppl in 'good' planes with you, and you function as the support plane. This might make it less frustrating :)

One of the worst planes I've ever flown in WT. Used up my 10 free repairs and only unlocked 2 modules. Even ground pounding for RP you only have enough ammo for maybe 8 targets. I''d only fly this if you're a sadist.

The p47s are much better especially the d28 wich the d28 climbs like a 109 and accelerates very quickly

Why don’t your do jets?
i do jets now and then, not always, because i enjoy props a lot. Check my realistic Jet reviews if you're interested in them.
The top speed at sea level is actually 578 km/h with WEP. (source: data sheet)
i give all my max speeds without wep as there's lots of planes without wep.
Yet the plane's "maximum power" is rated using WEP, if it has acces to it, or 100%, if not. For example a Yak-9 at 100% is faster than a BF-109E, but it is a LOT faster if you give the bf 109 "only" 100%.
you do that then, i'll do this ;)
your cannons must be upgraded mine are stock and they are shotguns its spread is horrendous

Jengar ahhhhh I see lol I saw you shoot and I was like holy smokes those are laser beams compared to mine I even think twice about head ons until I upgrade them I'll have a look at my crew level too coz I'm flying the C-1 currently to spade it while I unlock the 02 but it's frustrating coz it can only hang with other heavy fighter anything single engine gets a sniff of you your doomed

Just a bad plane, such a disappointment. Was really looking forward to unlocking it.
i was too, air spawn might help it a bit.
I really haven't been impressed with anything in the French line so far.
there's several planes that are good, also some of the us planes in the line.
All French planes are complete garbage. If it wasn't for the American and Russian planes, the French tree would be as useless as the Japanese and British tanks. Which is why, I have switched to IL2 Sturmovik. Finally had enough of being ripped off and screwed around by Gaijin. 1C does not screw up the planes or screw over their clients like Gaijin does.

WT is great. French planes are poor at best. It's thee most frustrating grind of all countries. Not to the jets yet but like the dogfighting more so it doesn't matter. Can get the American planes fom the US tree or Russia . Just poor. Just a frustrating line up JMHO..or fact
there's a few nice gems in the tree though ;) its not all bad, this one is though.
The fery low tier yes, I need one more medal to get to the jets. I've been told the jets are great or historically have been great. Like you however I usually get a 1:1 kill ration + or - but not by much. I'm usually having fun complaining and using somewhat good/sarcastic humor...so far.
i dont usually get a 1:1 K/D ratio, thats pretty low for me, taken all the bombers and planes like this i flew, despite that i still have a 3:1 K/D ratio on avarage over the last month atm. On fighters i like i usually have 3:1 or better. on the D520 for example i have a 9.5:1 K/D ratio, thats an example of low tier fun, just like the potez 631, in which i have an 11:1 K/D ratio. This plane really held me back, and i would therefore not recommend it.
Yes the D520 is a gem. If I play individual planes in realistic there are chances for success because one can work the game as per the limitations and maxims of the plane. I think the D520 is a high rate also for me but so far the others not so much( except the low Detowines, wow some are good). That Potez 631 is a killer. Looks like a retarded egret but it's bad news. I agree on both planes. Just overall the French tree appears weak. I enjoy your videos jengar. Keep up the good work. You are able to deal with the stats and fun in an entertaining and interesting manner!
