Good to see you reusing the same pattern. They are quite an investment ..so good to use them with different fabrics and variations! Do you get a chance to wear all that you make ?
@@SecretLifeOfASeamstress yes I know what you mean…I’m currently on a roll making a few versions of the Nepholene blouse by Vivian Shao Chen..it’s a fairly easy one to make up…but to ease my conscience about too much fabric consumption ..I’m making one from an old ‘embroidered’ cotton duvet cover !
Lovely collection of tops, all beautifully made, I love your Marnie tops, mostly for your skill in stitching the tucks in viscose, I doubt I could get them as even as you have! I have made a shacket ( not the Logan) and my husband cannot get his head around the word shacket and calls it my sachet! My Smith jacket ( one of your recommended patterns) is fast becoming my favourite light cover up for this time of year and I can see more being made, I’d love to se version from you! Lovely to chat again this morning with you! ❤
Ah thank you! Shacket is a funny word I can see your husbands point! A few years ago me and my sister came up with the word ‘coatigan’ as a joke and now coatigans are actually a thing. We always say we should have patented it haha xx
What a lovely collection. I have made and love the Ogden cami and the Marni is on my list to make along with the Shacket. Do you store yours always hanging up, ogdens on separate hangers, just conscious how much hanging space is available so would be interested to see what others do. Thank you ❤
Beautiful makes and lots of inspiration as always, thank you x Do you think the scout tee and Safiya trousers would make a good faux jumpsuit if made in the same fabric?
Ooh yes I think that would be lovely! You might want to lengthen the top a little so that it doesn’t pop out if you want to tuck it in is my only thought xx
Your garments are really pretty. I think you were born in the wrong decade as a lot of your clothes have a vintage look to them. I would like to see you sew up some genuine vintage patterns. Maybe this is not your thing but I think they would suit your style, and exploring the techniques could be interesting. (if you are up for the challenge). I'm sure after all the sewing you do that you would be skilled enough,

I hand them but a few on one hanger! Sadly don’t have the space to hang them individually xx
