Wow, totally fixed the issue, thank you! Frustrating that Zippo would cheap out on the included flint when I replace it with a Zippo brand flint and it works great. Why skimp out on such a inexpensive critical component?
Thanks for all your videos! You honestly got me into Zippos, because as a cigar smoker, all my buddies only Xikar lighters. But with the torch insert, it makes a hell of a difference and I love it. Thank you for all your videos!

@Zippofanatic77outdoors is there anyway i could buy a zorro 912s from you?? I really want to buy one but I'm not keen on buying from aliexpress/waiting 2 and a half months for it to get I 😂😂😂
After bleeding, refilling (with high quality butane) and changing the flint I still had problems igniting. What worked for me was soaking a q-tip in rubbing alcohol and wiping the inside clean. Being careful not to move the ignitor wire of the tube where the flame comes out. Lights first strike now.
Thanks 4 The Tips And Videos keep ‘Em Coming I have found sometimes lightly striking the wheel first helps sometimes difficult lighting in any wind for sure
I got a spare, just in case...which is still not a bad idea...but yeah, it's a good idea to have some "proper flints" on hand. The way things are going the last few years alone, we can expect HORRENDOUS prices for things like that in the fairly near future. Get a few while they're freely available and still reasonably priced. For example...I got about a dozen ink refiles for my space pen when they were $4.00 each, and people told me it was stupid/waste/blah...TODAY they're $12.50, and I've still got 4 or 5 left. We should ALL be thinking abut things this way NOW...'cause "later" might be TOO late.
I got a slanted yellow flame butane insert. I've changed a new flint, but it still doesn't lit often. And the gas release button is too small. My thumb hurts when I hit the sparkling wheel multiple times. The product has a good concept, but needs further improvement.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors I found an easy way to lit the butane insert earlier today. It looks a little silly, but it works. You just need to hold down the gas release button with your right hand thumb first, then strike down on the wheel with your left index finger.
Quick question: all your flames are short and nice. Mine looks like a flamethrower. I know there’s no way to adjust the size, is there any trick to make the flame shorter? Or I just have to wait for the butane to consume up a bit?
Use a crappy butane. Like zippo or ronson. That will shrink your flame. It’s also cold here in Canada now which also shrinks the flame. When your lighter is warm it will make the flame huge
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors Oh I see, thanks. Here in Rome it’s still so hot, it feels like being in the Sahara desert. I wonder why the flame doesn’t reach the ceiling! :D

Hi, im new to zippo. Can u make a video about all zippo inserts and their compatibility with cases? On zippo site they say that some jet insert are not compatible with armor cases and at the same time they say that pipe insert is ok with armors. What are the differences in sizes and what combinations of inserts and cases are working together? Thanks
@@Zippofanatic77outdoorsGotcha. Are they still holding up for you? I ended up getting a dual jet butane and the insert with the chimney cap attached to the striker wheel.
I have had my yellow flame insert for just over a month now saw your video and changed the flint and it helped for about 4 or 5 lights, im useing lotus butane my brother-in-law uses the same stuff in his and hasnt had issues yet. Any suggestions?
I was watching one of your old videos about how long a wick last and I saw that you said that the old zippos said the wick lasted forever but that might be because up until the mid 80s zippo used asbestos wicks and asbestos doesn’t burn maybe I am wrong I was just thinking
What I do is I take out the flint and wipe off the end that makes contact with the wheel. Some black residue comes off onto the towel and it lights up fine after
If i want yellow flame i stick with petrol. Yeah it's just me, but butane to me = trouble in one way or another 😂 My easily maintained 1958 with 1959 insert still works 100% Don't have the patience anymore to play with butane.
Ive just bought this insert but seeing it working in your hands it seem badly designed, if I have to loose half a finger every time I need a flame I think I'll throughw it in the drawer.
I recently just got mine in the mail and the day afterwards its having hard time lighting ive changed the flint to a new one and the only thing that seems to help is refilling it almost seems like my insert is leaking butane on its own because even after filling for 10 seconds each 3 times within the same hour and its still lights like it barely has any fuel in it is mine just be busted and i have send it back to zippo hopefully not though
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors yep lol im using zippo butane i bought with it is it really that bad of butane? Almost thought my lighter was faulty so should i just get some colibri in the future

Yes and full strikes too. Regular zippo insert a quarter turn will lit it up
