transformer calculations or appropriate software link to make the calculations missing from description. UF4007 diode between 1-8 pin can be replaced with a BA159 but people must not confuse it with the common 1N4007! Keep in mind that this is a half bridge topology, unregulated so transformer winding is very critical for output voltage level.
was looking for something exactly like this, I am using more or less the same contraption but only with a tl431 and an isolated feedback for voltage regulation to 24volts
Like the uniqueness but it's better if video begins from scratch...means from basic explanation,on bread board prototype -waveforms expected then PCB 👍
Nice project. But you have to take some precautions when winding the transformer. You have to ensure a higher distance between any point of the primary winding and the secondary one, as the lacker itself is not a reliable insulation to isolate the primary and secondary side of a transformer. Also, any over temperatures originated in the transformer because of an overload, can degrade the insulation lifespan. Consider that on the low voltage side, you have a human operator. Also, you have to keep a good clearance between any cooper trace of the high voltage side and the low voltage side, as a high voltage peak could easily jump small distances and harm or even kill a person. Despite of that it's a nice video, but, I would have liked to see how the output voltage behaves on this power supply, as there is no voltage feedback.
Its pretty stable to a certain level this circuit is a self oscilating 50/50% duty cycle so its like a normal transformer when you pass the rated power itt will drop the voltage also the 325v rail will drop and then the secondary voltage also drops , you are right there is pretty much no isolation bettween the primary and secondary
How did you determined the output voltage , when there is no feedback loop ???! i checked some datasheets / app notes on that chip. is this like an unregulated SMPS ? whats the advantages compared to a classic non-smps 40v 3A transformer+full bridge rect circuit , when there is no feedback ??
use transformer with non gapped transformer because it is halfbridge smps... to determine the total of primary winding: -we must know the frequency value first -determine the inductance using this formula 1000x(2x3.14xfrequency)/1000 -using ESR meter, wind the primary of the transformer until u get the value (inductance, L) from the formula to determine the total of secondary winding: -150/total primary winding -example for 12V output: 12V/(150/total primary winding)= ....total secondary winding *use regulator (78xx) for beter result.. Good Luck.. -Paling Manang-
if it possible can you make a video about how the circuit actually function and the current paths or something like that thank you so much (maybe someone else can provide extra links for informations as well)
what is the function of the lower mosfet in the diagram??? since one terminal of the transformer is connected to ground and the other to upper mosfet ,, i need expalanation please
when the upper transistor conducts, the capacitor at the output gets charged. Then, when the upper transistor shuts down and the lower one conducts, the voltage from this capacitor gets applied, but in reverse, to the primary of the transformer. This way the primary gets an AC voltage that actually crosses zero.
There are no problems with the HB SOS circuit. There is still one series of this IC that has not been completed upload whether it is normal or not I have tried it but forgot the schematic. Can you make a video ?
I got everything those he says in the video.I also got a transformer from old smps power supply.May be the output of that is between 12v to 24 v and current about 6 amp.Now if I use a suppression capacitor that you said, will that ok?Then can I touch the output line?
yes, with the proper class Y capacitor and there is nothing else between primary and secondary side then you'll be perfectly fine to touch that, maybe just a little buzzing if you're standing on ground but it's normal because the capacitor have leakage current and it's perfectly fine
Very nice build. I love these old-school builds, where you take parts of a land-fill and give them life again. gj+
Very well done! All UA-cam instructional videos should be done this way Good job.
Good work!
I'm also sometimes design homemde SMPSs by myself and now using them in my home for networking, LED desk light and Charger etc.
Thank you bro.I had been searching this for a long time. Thank you very very much
excellent job dear.. finally some real circuit... hoping to see a more detailed one in future 🖒
Saya sangat suka channel ini walaupun belum mengerti arti bahasanya 👍👍👍
really nice work. simple and up to the point. keep it up. Thanks for sharing with us,
I really appreciate your work Ive learnt a lot from your channel , it would be really great if you make a video on a homemade 200 watt inverter,. :)
Thank you for your work!

Please discuss this using 120 volts ac. Thanks. I gave a thumbs up.
Thank you very much for this interesting video
Its cool but measure the output with an osciloscope so we can see the quality of the signal, also add a short circuit protection.
Nice & informative video, please add a link of the circuit diagram & transformer calculation to the description box
nice job. making custom transformer freaks me up though.
i accedintly came into ur channel and i really like the contents u make. well done. subs 👍
Ótimo vídeo
Nice vdo man.
Thanks.
it is so good actually very very good (Awesome)
good work . i like it
Excellent
looks nice, but also looks like if the IC fails things can turn funny

Really Good
I like it... I want to build it but in my country is 120VAC

Que programa utilizaste para el calculo del transformador regala nos un vídeo de la construcción gracias Amigó
Per un amplificatore digitale è meglio un alimentarore swiching oppure uno stabilizzato??
+Kasyan TV can you say how many turns in that transformer.
you should do professional one working as a switching regulator by varying the duty cycle of the square wave to the transistors.
Can you show how to make it witchout using specialised ICs?
without Output voltage regulations!
Is it necessary to put 220n 400v capacitor on 1 of primary? And is it fine if I change it to 220n 2kV capacitor?
Can i change the output voltage just by changing the number of turns on secondary ?
What software you use to draw a circuit?
thank u sir
use transformer with non gapped transformer because it is halfbridge smps...
to determine the total of primary winding:
-we must know the frequency value first
-determine the inductance using this formula 1000x(2x3.14xfrequency)/1000
-using ESR meter, wind the primary of the transformer until u get the value (inductance, L) from the formula
to determine the total of secondary winding:
-150/total primary winding
-example for 12V output: 12V/(150/total primary winding)= ....total secondary winding
*use regulator (78xx) for beter result..
Good Luck..
-Paling Manang-
connect primary gnd and secondary gnd with capacitor 102/1KV
your english realy sucs.
@@balarbark This capacitor should be a Y1 class
In this video, Kasyan used a toroidial transformer.
real power supply, but it is not regulated. it has no feedback. but still cool. it even has an input emi filter. thanks for sharing
if it possible can you make a video about how the circuit actually function
and the current paths or something like that
thank you so much
(maybe someone else can provide extra links for informations as well)
hi, can this really supply 120W? maybe with a heatsink?
If only I can buy circuit products done by kasyan in ecommerce store then life would be easy.
nice voice man
nice
Buen aporte pero donde esta la explicación de la construcción del transformador Gracias
Transformado quantas tun Primar ? e secundário?
Can I use 1n4007 in place of VD2?
Where is the said "transformer calculation" link you mentioned?
Just download it from Google play store
Hie did you remove the circuit and pcb in the link below?
how set its voltage ?
how about switching?is it hard switching?
É um amplificador????
so not constant current but switching? can someone explain this to me
How about adjustable voltage smps
👍
I can't see the inductor calculations link. :(
How can I decrease the voltage to 24v?
👌👌👌👍
plz made a video for mobile power bank which can charge 4 phone each one should have 2amp
Nice ! Is it possible to varie the output voltage ?
Yes rewind the transformer
how many turns for primer
Quantas voltas de fio no tr de saida
I neither see any transformer calculation nor any requirements to build one. Maybe it is explained in the link! could anyone please make a suggestion?
We're loyal, very good explaination about basic half-bridge SMPS. But... The voltage isn't stable.
How to Make a Simple 12 V D.C 5 Amp Switch Mode Power Supply SMPS Circuit PLZ
Hello
How this circuit good or bad ? Can I make?
Please make a video for me (230v ac to 5v dc 2amp smps)
TR1 = wire and turn ??
Please, build a bipolar SMPS.
Sucess!
You need to recalculate transformer.
40V at 3Amps 120W and no heatsinks???
Please give the link of transformer winding calculation. And I need aprox 6 amp 12-24 v. Can you help me to do that??
hello sir, how to select mosfet value 6n60. I thing it could be 8n60 or 12n60. please give some suggestions or any calculation so, thats calculatd it.
6n60
Power suply
There is no Feedback connection and not any Short circuit protection !!!!
Synchronous buck converter without feedback from the flyback will fry something for sure.
how can we do the transformer calculation??
Add a heatsink!
Yes. Transistors and diodes can overheat.
hii sir how can calculate transformer winding sir
Pls can i get the pcb footprint

Can you make a video ?
there is no suppression capacitor, this is how you make a psu that generate a lot of noise
Where should be the capacitor? Can you explain it please?
any pin from transformer of secondary side to GND of primary side, need a proper class Y capacitor, else you can shock yourself to death
I got everything those he says in the video.I also got a transformer from old smps power supply.May be the output of that is between 12v to 24 v and current about 6 amp.Now if I use a suppression capacitor that you said, will that ok?Then can I touch the output line?

1:50 man really power to the ic from mains? lol
Yes! this is a very simple method for low current ICs :) many SMPS ICs uses this type of power.
This is transformerless?
I can't find the pcb download link. Plz help
there is no output voltage regulation in this circuit
so when you put a load on the output the voltage will vary according to the output current .
For cripes sake man, FIX it man, Fix it!!!
jaja roman ursuhack sintetizer voice
Where is the transformer calculation?
6n60 to 13007 Ok ???????? Please Help Me?
thanks, how many power??
40V*3A=120W
