    Nice work. Transformers used for offline smps are sometimes dangerous. Proper tapes and margin clearances should be included.

    I am new to electronics and try to understand why these kinds of circuits are used? What is the advantage of this instead of using a Transformer with an 12V output, followed by a bridge rectifier and some capacitors to stabilize the DC output?

      Iron transformers are large and heavy. Switching power supplies with the same power are much smaller and cheaper

      I use a calculation program on my computer. Usually they are almost all the same. Enter the frequency, voltage, core dimensions and get the turns. Unfortunately I have no plans to create a video yet. About this theme.

    Sir, today I have made DK124 SMPS 12v circuit, by looking at the datasheet diagram of IC, 12 volt is there without load and when 12v is 1A load it is coming down to 4 volt, what could be the reason for this?

      if you took the correct core and your whole circuit is correct, then there may be several problems. Maybe they made the wrong gap and the inductance turned out not as expected. Maybe they mixed up the connection of the diode to the ends of the secondary winding or wound the wrong number of turns.

    Dear Sir, I made thise Transfomr as you instructed. But inductance of the primary winding is about 10.8mH. Is there a problem Output voltage and current???? Thank you ❤❤❤❤

      Presumably the power of the power supply should decrease.

      You can take any thin one. The main thing is that all the windings fit in. I have nothing to measure a thin wire, so I can’t tell you the diameter of the wire.

      I made this power supply circuit. It is working perfectly. Out put is 12.26V about 1A thank you so much dear. I hope make 12V 5A power supply as you instructed ❤❤❤❤❤
