After that, the writers on Supergirl seemed determined to piss on Superman whenever they got the chance. I'm still pissed after all these years that in the season 2 finale, they had Supergirl actually beat him when Superman himself was going all out because he thought he was fighting Zod. If Superman was going all out, she would be dead. He had over a decade of experience being Superman fighting equally powerful foes and she beat him because apparently, she is just that amazing. She was so amazing that afterwards, the script insisted Tyler's Superman must kiss her ego whenever he walked on set for multiple seasons to come. Tyler earned this show, I'm not sure I could have put up with all the shit he had to deal with to get this far.
tyler never the problem but the way supergirl writer wrote his character as jobber superman. he was great at his first appeareance & people falls for his charms. after that everything goes downhill & he was the weakest useless superman ever. so gratefull for this show, he can showcase his talents more
See this is why I love this show and Smallville so much, both shows the Superman I grew up reading. Clark is who Kal El was, Superman was just what he could do. He was raised a simple country boy with simple down home country morals and values. And that was Clark.
I like the fresh approach they took with Lois. Instead of her being so determined to get the Superman interview and scoop on all his rescues. She's focused on issues being drowned out by the Superman fog. And she's also into Clark himself, it was Clark she fell for first and not Superman.

I really like her interpretation of Lois. You absolutely see why he’d fall for her. She’s fighting to make things better, as best she can, and she’s determined to get the job done, no matter what. She’s not hunting a Pulitzer, she wants change. I’ve always thought that Supes loves Lois because she represents the very best of humanity, and this version really nails his admiration for her. The admiration giving way to love makes total sense.
I never have seen this show before. Im gonna watch it because I like how this actor is portaying Clark Kent. Reminds me a lot of Reeves version but more grounded. I also like how Lois seems to fall in love with Clark instead of his Superman alter ego at the start of their relationship.
I think it is safe to say, that if we combine the Cavil "Superman", and the Tyler "Clark Kent", we would have the greatest and most faithful LA Hero ever
I would add a little Dean Cain clark kent, who I think gives much more natural and convincing portrayal of Clark's personality. He still the dorky loveable guy from kansas, but also competent and respected reporter.
Clark is that clumsy lovable fool we look to love , it’s who he is. It is not a persona , in his own words “Superman is what I can do , Clark is who I am”.
Awesome how we got to see more of the flashbacks of first episode so Clark and Kara have being and office assistant in common also love how Jimmy go mentioned.
I want this Superman to lead a Justice Legaue team, whether on the big or small screen. I would have enjoyed a show with just the two of them before kids to be honest.
I love how Tyler nails the dorky Clark, it comes so natural👏🏻 He’s by the best Superman I have seen in decades. Tom Welling didn’t really play the dorky Clark…so it’s refreshing to see Tyler play Dad, Superman and dork Clark phenomenally👏🏻. Bitsie has done a great job as Lois, I love that she’s tough as reporter but even stronger as a Mama. 👍🏻Also, I love the Clois background music👏🏻seeing them fall in love in this episode was treat to watch. ☺️
Apples to oranges. Welling's Metropolis clumsy Clark wasn't emphasized because it was a different take on the lore and it was from the point of view of the audience who saw his start from Smallville and the fact that Lois already knew him before being a coworker hence the omission. There were only a number of scenes where he appeared clumsy and even fewer where he wore his disguise. In fact it was only on one scene. It was when he wore the Legion ring where he saw the future and he was already a full-fledged Superman, so to speak.
Love when newer Superman actors seem to borrow lovingly from the 70s/80s Superman movies’ portrayal. Whenever I see Brandon & Tyler be Supermens, it reminds me of Christopher Reeves & warms my heart ☺️. Even the Superman from the underrated animated series THE BATMAN (in his one rare cameo as Clark) was bumbling & dorky AF 😄.
No matter how many new Supermans come along the way, there will always be a little bit Christopher Reeve in them and that is why he will always be my favorite Superman. I see alot of Chris Reeves Clark Kent in this new version.
What this show does with showing Clark Kent as a great reporter is amazing. In the comics and in the Bruce Timm show, being a reporter and writer was his asset in knowing what he can help save next.
Boss: No health insurance Clark Kent: No problem Boss thinking: WTF he is so clumsy how can that not be a problem unless he is actually supermen in disguise 😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣
There's not been one miscast in this series, I'm blown away by the direction, the tone, the seamless and very important note on mental health and making it a normal part of their lives, the score!!?? ( Dan Romer rules!!).. but really the casting.. Tyler Hoechlin has always been an underrated gem and I'm glad he gets a chance to shine as Clark and Superman. Elizabeth Tulloch has officially nabbed my best Lois lane spot from Erica Durance. A big thank you to Lyndsey Baldasare, David Rapaport and J.J. Ogilvy for the great cast!! 👍🏽👍🏽❣️
And it's not even really close. Cavill had absolutely no charm or charisma. Hoechlin has it in spades. Cavill and Adams had zero chemistry together as Lois and Clark. Not the case with Hoechlin and Tulloch, though. This show has done everything better then the Snyder and Cavill films and is finally doing justice to the character in live action.
@Oluwatoyin Ogunsuyi How what? How has the show done everything better then the Snyder films? For the reasons I mentioned. This Superman has charm and personality. He has a connection to humanity unlike Cavill who only seemed to care about Martha and Lois. He's hopeful. He's upbeat. That's what Superman is. Saw very little of that in the Snyder films as he was clearly ashamed of those aspects of the character and just wanted to make him darker and more brooding.
@@Indigo_Polarity this episode took inspiration from man of steel. First flight, evil krypotnian going through Clark's memories, the color pallette, etc
It took me 3 years to give this show a chance just because I told myself he doesn't look like Superman. But this show won me over after the first episode. Great actors, great show!
People are so dazzled by the powers of Superman that they forget that he's really just a small town farmboy at heart. Sure, some of the bumbling is affected as part of his cover for being the "perfect" Superman, but look closer, especially when he first gets to the Daily Planet. He's nervous during his interview with Perry, he constantly loses track of Lois because he's rather starstruck by being able to rubberneck at everything going on in the bullpen, he's a country boy whose only experience as a reporter was for his high school newspaper and now here he is in the heart of the greatest newspaper in the greatest city in the world so he's living his dream. No need to fake the bumbling. Once he gets used to his surroundings, of where he is and who he's with (Pulitzer Prize winning reporter), he's so busy learning that being a buffoon slips his mind and he lets his natural inquisitive nature come to the fore. Plus, Lois reinforces his desire to help the little guy by her focus on helping the man on the street instead of the new flashy story about the miracle man doing amazing stunts (his other identity as Superman). That she's focused on the real news that can help people no doubt also probably has something to do with his attraction to her. He's connecting with her as Clark, not as the "other guy" (as another mild-mannered man said about his alter-ego). I like this. This is the way their relationship should have developed all along. Great writing, great insight into the character, great acting in bringing larger than life characters to life as realistic, everyday people. 👍
Everyone hypes up Tyler’s Superman/Clark (rightfully so cause he’s great) but I feel like everyone sleeps on Bitsie Tulloch’s Lois. To me she is the standard now for Lois Lane’s.
This scene is really good (probably one of the best live-action Clark Kent scenes) but I think having a little bit where Lois asks Clark how to spell a word like in some iterations would be kinda cool.
Between this and My Adventures with Superman it's (sigh). It's honestly great to see Superman back again. It's been to long Clark, we missed you... We need you. The world is just a little to dark right now and we need someone to show us what we can be. I really like Superman.
Superman actually has 3 personas contrary to popular belief - the bumbling Clark we see here, the Kal-El/Superman one, and his actual true Clark persona. The last one is only seen when he's with in Smallville with his family or people he trusts. The "dork" Clark persona is only when he's in Metropolis around large civilian environments.
The best change to modern Superman stories is having Lois fall in love with Clark instead of Superman. It makes her seem far more genuine and shows that she cares past the power and fame that Superman has.

Tyler earned this show, I'm not sure I could have put up with all the shit he had to deal with to get this far.
tyler never the problem but the way supergirl writer wrote his character as jobber superman. he was great at his first appeareance & people falls for his charms. after that everything goes downhill & he was the weakest useless superman ever. so gratefull for this show, he can showcase his talents more
He was better than Cavill even on Supergirl
See this is why I love this show and Smallville so much, both shows the Superman I grew up reading. Clark is who Kal El was, Superman was just what he could do. He was raised a simple country boy with simple down home country morals and values. And that was Clark.
I like the fresh approach they took with Lois. Instead of her being so determined to get the Superman interview and scoop on all his rescues. She's focused on issues being drowned out by the Superman fog. And she's also into Clark himself, it was Clark she fell for first and not Superman.
The colouring and cinematography is like The Dark Knight rises.
nope fir colouring...its sooo oramge or yellow...tdkr is kinda blue
@@GREG_Khar-NÜ-Metalhead2000 yeah you're right ,i guess it's difficult to find any color in a DC production nowadays.

You can search it, tons of articles will pop out, about the director.
They're so beautiful together. I'm crying right now 😭😭😭 This is hands down the best live action depiction of Lois and Clark's relationship. I love them!
@@Megadog33 have I see Smallville. Umm...I lived, breathed, shitted Smallville. Lois and Clark on their had a explosive chemistry and I loved their relationship especially in the earlier seasons when they would argue with one another but something about S&Ls Lois and Clark is just more touching. The chemistry and love that they have just hits me in the feels.
@@Megadog33 Smallville Lois is. The hottest back in the day
Tom and Erica wont be beaten in my eyes
@@realcrunchy6572 yeah they had amazing chemistry and in the early seasons their relationship was awesome but the writers really took to much time to put them together and by the end it looked like he was with her because he could not have Lana
Nope. Smallville's Lois and Clark pair take the spot.
Tyler has this round goofy face and a huge muscular body, it reminds me of some comic book I can't remember but he looks perfect for the role
Haha joker
Your description reminds me of Tim Sale's Superman from the "For All Seasons" comics, so maybe you were thinking of that one! They even referenced said comic directly, transposing the "thanks, my mom mad it for me!" scene in such a faithful way.
Freakazoid?
I really like her interpretation of Lois. You absolutely see why he’d fall for her. She’s fighting to make things better, as best she can, and she’s determined to get the job done, no matter what. She’s not hunting a Pulitzer, she wants change. I’ve always thought that Supes loves Lois because she represents the very best of humanity, and this version really nails his admiration for her. The admiration giving way to love makes total sense.
"How can I help?"
That question is the intersection of a Clark Kent and Superman, the thread that unifies the two halves of his life.
That one part of the main theme when Clark first meet Lois actually give you the feels of love at first sight.
He eats chicken nuggies omg I LOVE this Clark Kenttttttt

Tyler is so great as Clark that I can’t even tell Clark could ever be Superman
Yeah he got a good example from Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh in that sense
0:56 the exact second Clark fell in love.... Admittedly if she looked at anyone that way they'd forget their own name for a minute.
She looked at me like that I'd fall in love instantly 😍
I like how his natural normal mode is just Clark. Not some disguise, just...who he normally is when he's not flying around catching planes.
He's so sweet and bubbly and adorable. Lois fell in love with the puppy behind the cape
Verdade
WHY ARE THEY SO FREAKING ADORABLE?! Loved these scenes!
I always keep coming back to this scene. One of my all time favorites.
Man, I really love that this version of Clark and Lois partnered up from the get go.
I never have seen this show before. Im gonna watch it because I like how this actor is portaying Clark Kent. Reminds me a lot of Reeves version but more grounded. I also like how Lois seems to fall in love with Clark instead of his Superman alter ego at the start of their relationship.
Every single Superman adaptation needs to take note of Lois being in Love with Clark and not Superman. It’s truly the best version of the story
I think it is safe to say, that if we combine the Cavil "Superman", and the Tyler "Clark Kent", we would have the greatest and most faithful LA Hero ever
Routh embodies that of hope and the true superman. Adding him would be perfect
I would add a little Dean Cain clark kent, who I think gives much more natural and convincing portrayal of Clark's personality. He still the dorky loveable guy from kansas, but also competent and respected reporter.
No match for christopher reeves tho

Meh.
This show is so well done. It is the first time someone gets Superman right since the first 2 movies.

"No health insurance". "I think i ll be fine...."
Not a Superman shill. But. This is the Clark Kent and the series represents the Superman as I see the character. Good stuff so far.
Tyler Hoechlin for my money is the best Clark Kent to ever hit the screen since the late great Christopher Reeve, he is simply wonderful
I want this Superman to lead a Justice Legaue team, whether on the big or small screen. I would have enjoyed a show with just the two of them before kids to be honest.
You can't be Superman without being Clark. It was too good to see Clark and Superman back.
Derek acting geekie so fun to watch
We teen wolf fanssss😁😁
Season 1 is the only season where we see a trur werewolf transformation. All fur from head to toe and it's sad.
You can see how Tyler is the living scense of Superman. I'm so happy that he got the chance
Their interaction is SO SEXY! The chemistry between Bitsie and Tyler is explosive.
Perry was really pushin' it with the dry-cleaning...
As if Clark needs health insurance😂
No matter how many new Supermans come along the way, there will always be a little bit Christopher Reeve in them and that is why he will always be my favorite Superman. I see alot of Chris Reeves Clark Kent in this new version.
What this show does with showing Clark Kent as a great reporter is amazing. In the comics and in the Bruce Timm show, being a reporter and writer was his asset in knowing what he can help save next.
It’s nice to see Clark as a reporter
"Thanks, my Mum made it for me." Freakin awesome line.... loooove that little scene.
Boss: No health insurance
Clark Kent: No problem
Boss thinking: WTF he is so clumsy how can that not be a problem unless he is actually supermen in disguise
😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣

They have so much chemistry omg
you can tell by the voice that he switches from Clark to Kal El 2:25
THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD, HUGE FAN HERE! I LOVE TYLER'S TAKE ON CLARK KENT/SUPERMAN. LOIS IS DOING THE DAMN THING TOO!
I disagree, Lois has been miscasted imo.
When Clark references Seinfeld it is such an in joke because Jerry was famously obsessed with Superman.
Wasn’t there insurance commercials having Jerry Seinfeld talk with an animated Superman??
Tyler is better than Cavill , lol .
@@ChuckM0503
To be fair the content given to Cavill and Adams to work with has not been great.
Agree
@Oluwatoyin Ogunsuyi How what? How has the show done everything better then the Snyder films? For the reasons I mentioned. This Superman has charm and personality. He has a connection to humanity unlike Cavill who only seemed to care about Martha and Lois. He's hopeful. He's upbeat. That's what Superman is. Saw very little of that in the Snyder films as he was clearly ashamed of those aspects of the character and just wanted to make him darker and more brooding.
I've waited for a Superman adaptation like this for so darn long.
It's feels so good to see Superman written the way he's supposed to be.
Oh my god if only others CW series were like that, this show is so good.
Tyler does such a good job at playing the clumsy Clark Kent.
WHY IS THIS GOOD?! This has no business being so good!!
I don’t know why but I really love how Clark watches Seinfeld reruns and eats frozen chicken nuggets.
I much prefer the idea that he's genuinely that awkward and only plays it up to push clark and superman apart
There's no health insurance. 😂 Clark must be thinking in his mind laughing" if only you knew!😂"
He's so awkward and wholesome! 😆
I LOVE THIS ACTOR FOR CLARK!!!

Man of steel has no color but this one actually does so you’re kinda wrong there. If anything it looks more like Superman returns.
@@Indigo_Polarity this episode took inspiration from man of steel. First flight, evil krypotnian going through Clark's memories, the color pallette, etc

The new footage blends in seemingly with the footage from the pilot that I congratulate the filming crew.
I really wish in season 2 to see more of clark as journalist
It took me 3 years to give this show a chance just because I told myself he doesn't look like Superman. But this show won me over after the first episode. Great actors, great show!
It’s gonna be hard to say goodbye to this show the only good cw show
Yes . Tyler hoechlin being Christopher reeves and dean Cain in one. He's good 😎
People are so dazzled by the powers of Superman that they forget that he's really just a small town farmboy at heart.
Not sure what it is but Bitsy gives me a mix of Kidder and Hatcher with her Lois in this scene
This show gets Superman in every way Zack Snyder doesn't.
I love the Seinfeld shout out
Everyone hypes up Tyler’s Superman/Clark (rightfully so cause he’s great) but I feel like everyone sleeps on Bitsie Tulloch’s Lois. To me she is the standard now for Lois Lane’s.
"No health insurance..." Not a problem!
He is being so dorky I love it
This scene is really good (probably one of the best live-action Clark Kent scenes) but I think having a little bit where Lois asks Clark how to spell a word like in some iterations would be kinda cool.
Clark has a really innocent face
Between this and My Adventures with Superman it's (sigh). It's honestly great to see Superman back again. It's been to long Clark, we missed you... We need you. The world is just a little to dark right now and we need someone to show us what we can be. I really like Superman.
God he was perfect! Just absolutely nailed it.
Clark Kent taking pictures like Peter Parker did.
please the rambling😭😭😭he’s so dorky, i love😌
Did Perry said ''No health insurance''? 'Thank God he is Superman!
Best episode of the series.
Superman actually has 3 personas contrary to popular belief - the bumbling Clark we see here, the Kal-El/Superman one, and his actual true Clark persona. The last one is only seen when he's with in Smallville with his family or people he trusts.
The "dork" Clark persona is only when he's in Metropolis around large civilian environments.
i like this chemistry because lois lane was tough on the rest of the clark kents but this one she loves
The best change to modern Superman stories is having Lois fall in love with Clark instead of Superman. It makes her seem far more genuine and shows that she cares past the power and fame that Superman has.
